This is one of shoot from the hip's underrated plays. It's an older one, but it's got a beautiful love story with a tragic ending. There are running jokes throughout the story ("I've got a gun and I'm not afraid to stab you!"), interesting and colourful characters ("Now excuse me whilst I die with my monkey."), and fourth wall breaks ("Three years I’ve been hunting land, I can barely stand anymore. I feel like I walked forty minutes to get here through the broiling heat wave because the Angel tube station was shut."). Luke repeatedly trying (and failing) to get into a love triangle with Sam was absolute gold. Tarquin somehow coming back to life with no explanation is something that will haunt me to the end of my days, as well as Bellyboots turning on Tarquin with no clear motivation. Why did Amanda have to die? No one knows. Props to the innkeeper using guns properly, you're my hero.
I love the Icebound gang with Daisy so much, but my God the love I have of Barnabos' uncle role in Daisy's life is so unmatched.
Grizzled old sailor who has traveled around the world and meets a young lass who didn't even know there was a world to travel to. Guy who fed her sister and took care of her, only to unintentionally be the reason for her demise and who accidentally calls her by her sister's name repeatedly. Barnabos who came to fight and nearly die for Daisy several times over and yet still unable to protect her from being returned to Ogreton. Who told her harsh remarks to try and get her to stay behind with her family, to avoid being stuck in the freezing cold and starve with the rest of them only for her to tell him fuck you I'm doing it anyways. Who found out they were still alive after months of separation by seeing an absolute gigantic Barnabos fighting a to the death battle in a ring against a Goliath and snapping the man's head off and screaming in victory. Daisy coming back home and patting his head while he slept and being the first to wake up and hug him after he wakes and cooks them breakfast. Barnabos who gives her not a double but a triple portion of food, who reassures her that he didn't say such unkind words just to be cruel but because he wished he could have spared her any more hardships and suffering. Daisy telling him she appreciated it, she knows and him just tussling her hair.
BRO THEYRE FAMILY. THATS HIS NIECE AND THATS HER UNCLE, MAN.
the unrelenting aubergine brainrot returned so I made this uquiz

Clayton with a cat!
This is Giselle, a perfectly normal cat that Clayton fed in Vallaki and suddenly started showing up more, she’s seemingly immune to curses.
Shepherd is very weary of her.
more icebound stuff mostly jornir getting loved because he deserves it
Do you ever think about Anthony's guilt? Because I do. As he ran through the compartments of the never ending train, do you think he thought about the day he'd gotten his son an engine instead of a car? Do you think he remembered the fateful day when he answered his son's questions and shut down his son's fears (what was his name? He can't remember his own son's name), tried desperately to ignore the panic lacing his voice as he showed him (he didn't tell him. He mustn't tell anyone) the hole in the wall?
Do you think he regrets the evening he boarded up the hole and called it a day, refusing to acknowledge and investigate what was clearly making his son uneasy? Do you think he regrets letting him sleep in his own room that night, with the voices ensnaring him slowly? Does he blame himself for unwittingly dooming his little boy?
This is an Anthony appreciation post because he dove through the portal that had swallowed his son without a thought. Because he broke the fundamental rules of this twisted dimension in order to save his now-nameless child. Because he looked an eldritch entity of unimaginable power in the eye and was ready to fight him with his bare hands. All because he refused let himself lose his son a second time.
Scenes that get way funnier when you remember that Taishen still thinks that the 'fishing trips' are an innuendo
[VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:
Ketrastine: ...You are stupid. Dumb, even.
Skrimm: You don't have to look at me when you say that.
(laughter)
Ketrastine: (Stammers) It's just where my eyes went, I didn't mean–
Skrimm: I wouldn't know about that.
Mikey: Barnabos actually laughs.
Skrimm: Hey! Hey, Mr. 'Dreadwake', alright, we're still fighting, alright?!
Barnabos: Aye, alright Mr. Stabbaskotch.
Skrimm: And I want you to know too that I faked every single day of fishing we ever did together!
(Taishen gasps)
Barnabos: No, I know.
Skrimm: You didn't know. You didn't know.
Barnabos: You know how much fishing I've done, Mr. Stabbaskotch?
Skrimm: You didn't know.
Barnabos: ...Alright.
Skrimm (to Jornir): He– He didn't know.
(Mikey cackles)

Hmmm, not particularly headcanons (I don't have many for SFTH stuff to my surprise) - but I absolutely love DerLucht's interpretation of them on their fic Made of Steel on AO3 (which is an amazing fic btw, I absolutely loved it) where she is just magic and can do stuff like change the weather. Margaery should do more actual magic, I want to see her do crazy things with magic no explanation and brush them off like it was nothing, I want to know what she's been doing all those 2000 years, how far back does she really know Titch's family and why??? I just need more content about her she's so fun
For James and Titch I really only have general story ideas, like I really wanted to write something about the first time James called Titch his brother - or vice versa - but I couldn't come up with any concrete plots.
Like it could be in a fit of emotions, maybe they're younger (cause who knows when Titch was adopted) and Titch gets lost and James has to look for him and it just happens, like he just finds himself calling for his brother. Maybe it's just natural and he doesn't even notice it (maybe happening out of panic or something), or maybe it surprises him (though I think I prefer it just being natural). I imagine Titch being really surprised by this, maybe struggling to find his place in the family and wondering if he belong (Another version of emotions could perhaps be anger which could be interesting)
I could also see it being casual, maybe just like a "good morning, brother" which surprises Titch
Or, I had a vague idea of combining all three of them and - again, probably when they're younger, but I suppose it could also work for when they're older - maybe on some major holiday (I was thinking Christmas since it just passed and it was on my mind) Titch gets a bad injury that needs tending urgently (or James, I suppose, but I just like injured Titch, I guess, lol). For plot convenience maybe they live in a really small town and any doctors/hospitals are closed (and if they're younger their father isn't home, I couldn't decide why that would be other than an issue with the farm or electricity or something) and so instead they go to Margaery who helps them out. I like the interpretation that she's got a soft spot for both of the brothers even despite their chaos and all of the things they bother her about
I just love scenarios that show how much Titch and James care about each other - but particularly when James shows that he cares about Titch because I feel like I see less of that
Woah that was a lot more than I expected
Got the sudden urge to post so here we are
Thinking about The Unrelenting Aubergine again too much- as much as I love Ditch (they consume so much of my brain) I would love to see more stuff about James - especially his dynamic with Titch, but maybe also his dynamic with Margaery
And just more stuff about Margaery in general - I love her, she is amazing. I want more fics just about her (I’d write them but I don’t know what I’d write 😭 I’d write the James and Titch stuff too, and I have some ideas, but not how I’d write them and they’re just general concepts. I’d love to hear more, too)
I don’t know why I’ve never questioned it before now but… what’s going on in the thumbnail for Lost In Your Eyes??? Like what is that explosion off to the right there for??? There’s literally no explosions in the entire play as far as I can recall???
Hi! I'm just another random person on the internet. I go by any pronouns, or you can just not refer to me. Whatever works. Have a nice day/night! :D(Changed my name in the hopes that my irl friends won’t find me hidden under this trench coat…)Current hyperfixation/Interest: ENA’s Dream BBQ, Legend of Avantris's DnD stuff (just finished catching up to Icebound! Half way through Curse of Strahd now and starting Edge of Midnight), and slowly falling out of the SFTH fandom :C
