proficient in using ranged and deranged weapons
hey, i heard that adhd medication causes anxiety. what's your experience with that? i have adhd and while not on a psychiatric level i experience anxiety too. so im a little skeptical about using meds...
I don't know, my personal experience with anxiety is of the "went so deep into the madness that I came out sane on the other side" sort. Instead of being scared of being in the wrong place and doing everything wrong, I accepted the assumption that I am always in the wrong place and doing everything wrong, but that it's everyone else's problem until someone has the balls to stop me.
If I'm sitting in a crowded room where everyone secretly hates me but nobody's brave enough to actually say it out loud, then I'm the most powerful person in the room. So either people don't hate me at all, or they fear confronting me about it. And that's their problem, not mine.
The crux of the anti trans movement is a war on bodily autonomy. They don't want you to have any agency over what you look like, how you dress, who you date, whether to have kids, etc.
They want total control over you. Not just trans people. Not just queer people. You. Everyone.
Trans people are just a scapegoat. They want total control over everyone's self expression. They want the right to mold you into their perfect little cog in their dehumanizing machine.
Happy Trans Day of Visibility. Our rights are your rights. Our destruction is your destruction.
Y'all
Civil disobedience is alive and well. Marcy Rheintgen decided to go into a women's bathroom last month in Florida.
This action is momentous, honestly. She entered the bathroom with a rosary and washed her hands, was given a warning before being arrested for trespassing.
Here's what she had to say about it:
I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but she's right. This is absolutely bonkers and it's incredible of her to point this out publicly like this.
She's making good trouble, even before being prompted.
Edit: haha jokes on me. I knew I forgot something. Here's a link to the article
straight people are so fascinating even when they aren't actively trying to be homophobic. I had a class a few years ago where one assignment was to summarize some eighth century arabic poetry about going out for drinks with the lads before indulging in some gay sex and like half the class came in and said "I'm sorry idk what was happening in this one, they mention having sex with a servant but they also say the servant's a man? where'd the woman come from? I'm so confused." and a few days ago in a shakespeare class I made a comment about how cleopatra and octavius caesar are kind of parallel characters in possessively bartering for mark antony's attention and one of my classmates responded as though I'd been talking about octavia and not caesar, despite the fact that I said "caesar" and "him" multiple times while describing the actions he specifically took. fully incapable of comprehending of anything that's even a little bit gay.
Hey! ๐
I hope you're doing well.
IIโm reaching out with something really close to my heart. A dear friend and his family are going through an incredibly hard time.
They urgently need support, and even the smallest act of kindness โ a share or donation โ could make a life changing difference.
This is about compassion, about standing by each other when it matters most. ๐
Thank you so much for taking a moment to care ๐
