My life would be greatly improved if I met more mysterious women in the woods.
"Do I truly hate what I'm working on? Or am I tired of looking at it and need a short break?"
"Do I really hate my art-making process? Or have I been doing the same thing for too long?"
An important question I have to ask myself every once in a while is "do I actually hate [blank] or am I just bored of it?"

Once again, I truly do love the divide of folks who view my art as either "comforting and nostalgic" or "ominous and mysterious"
Sharing sketchbook art would be nice for low pressure posts, but I don’t know if posting it would clash too much with my more “official” digital style.
Your art is like a cold room, but your in the middle and your holding a lantern, it is warm, and caring, it gives you its light and comfort and slowly you feel the room heat with the welcoming solitude of selflove
Now that's what I call a flattering description!
how does your linework have that rough, inky quality to the edges even though it's digital? How do you do it?
The distressed edges of my line art are from the brush I use! It's the Bold Engraver Single from True Grit Texture Supply's Rusty Nib pack (specifically the Procreate version).
I did make some minor adjustments to the grain settings to amp up its texture, but this brush is what gives my lines a roughened look!
