Does anyone have recommendations for a white ink that’s decently opaque? (Bonus if it can be used with a dip pen!)

Your art is like a cold room, but your in the middle and your holding a lantern, it is warm, and caring, it gives you its light and comfort and slowly you feel the room heat with the welcoming solitude of selflove

Now that's what I call a flattering description!

Asking because I would like to make a playlist of new music to listen to while I'm at my university's ceramic studio this week.

By the way, if recommending an artist, suggesting a specific album or song(s) from them would be very helpful!

Without knowing my tastes, what music would you recommend to me based purely on vibes?

I started this last night as a way to play with color ideas for a possible new character + project, but then things got away from me...

My latest drawing fascination has been funky organic shapes. I need to figure out a way to incorporate them into my "typical" art (weird landscapes? flora? creature details?)

I love ominous as a descriptor for my art because I absolutely love horror, but it can be a struggle translating it into my cutesier style (at least, in my opinion); so having it be ominous is a good compromise.

how does your linework have that rough, inky quality to the edges even though it's digital? How do you do it?

The distressed edges of my line art are from the brush I use! It's the Bold Engraver Single from True Grit Texture Supply's Rusty Nib pack (specifically the Procreate version).

I did make some minor adjustments to the grain settings to amp up its texture, but this brush is what gives my lines a roughened look!

Sometimes I'm not aware of what particular themes reoccur in my work, which is why these posts are fun to make.

Cropped version of "Bright Light". A digital illustration depicting a hooded figure standing against a dull cloudy sky. From under their hood a beam of orange light emanates. Stylized flowers and dark bushes cover the ground.
Cropped version of a past artwork. A digital illustration of a figure whose head is replaced by a stylized ball of yellow light.
Cropped version of "Little Light". A digital illustration of a humanoid creature wearing a pale yellow dress. She holds her hand out to a speck of light.
Cropped version of "Illuminate". A digital illustration depicting a humanoid woman with a creature resting on her shoulders. The creature has a long body with a glassy, eye-like orb in place of its head. From this orb emits a light that illuminates their surroundings.
