i think the reason why the assassination of Julius Caesar is one of the funniest political assassinations is for this very simple reason:

Allow me to set the scene...

So you're an alien (just go with it) and you have to write a report on human studies.

Then you get invited to a humans birthday party (there's a point here I promise) and it's time for cake.

Everybody on the same page? Super.

Alien (that's you) watches as this lovely dessert is brought out and wax sticks are placed into it. The wax is set on fire and everyone gathers in a circle to chant. Once the chanting is complete a chosen one makes a wish on the flaming wax sticks (thus embuing the cake with the magical wish powers obviously) and blows the fire out. Everyone eats the treat and the annual ritual is complete.

All of this is to say...

Reminder: It doesn't matter if you're "behind" from others. It's alright if you feel like people have accieved more than you. Life isn't a race of who can do more in their first 30 years. Hell, I see teenagers saying they have failed or that they aren't good enough, when things like that are not in the least important. You have so many years infront of you, no one's chasing you down. If heaven isn't an endless amount of fics catered to my various ships and fandoms, specifically curated to fit the niche scenario/trope I'm in the mood for at that exact moment, then I don't want it.

I'm not a very spiritual person but I kinda wish I could take all the amazing fanfics I've read with me to the afterlife when I die.

It's true. Dsmp is the most unique Fandom I've ever been in. The sheer variety alone is astonishing!

We can compare most fandoms to rivers. Branching out from the source material but still streamlined to some degree.

Dsmp is the FUCKING OCEAN! There are mini fandoms within this Fandom. You've got dnf, sbi, ALL THE FUCKING DUOS! It's insane how vast it is. If you don't know what you're looking for going in, you'll never come back out!

Not to mention the amount of ways you can consume content. Fanart, fanfic, animations, original music, and that's all without touching the original content itself! Then there's the mini genres within those categories. Like in fanfic for example you have superhero au, royalty au, modern day au, vampire au, ghost au, fucking DRAGON AU AND SO MUCH MORE!

For all its faults the dsmp Fandom is truly an amazing space to be in. The creativity, talent and passion on display is really inspiring and I'm glad to be apart of it.
