The Doctor tracked The Master down to a small cottage in middle England and he could not believe what he had discovered. He really could not believe his eyes. Out of everything they had experienced together for thousands of years, this was the most shocking thing The Master had ever accomplished. How did The Master end up with you and he didn’t?
Of course, The Doctor had no idea who you were, but according to the scans he performed, they proved that you were Human. The Master hated Humans, The Doctor loved them more than his own species! He should be with you, not her! The Doctor had to see what his Best Enemy was planning and save you from her.
The Doctor landed his TARDIS outside of the protective field he detected and began to creep toward the cottage. Along the way, he was investigating his surroundings, searching for anything suspicious or deadly. To his surprise, he didn’t really find anything that would alarm him.
The Doctor observed neatly planted trees, shrubs, and flowers decorating the cobblestone pathway leading up to the cottage. He noticed that whoever had designed the layout of the area had a fondness for weeping willow trees. There were probably about thirty weeping willows planted throughout the large garden surrounding the cottage.
The Doctor stopped beside one of those trees and inspected the flowers blooming on the branches. He suspected that these trees were not from Earth and were actually from the planet Lypitta. Meaning that The Master was planning to poison all of Earth’s leaders with a handmade blend of itiia poul klailei leaf tea and take over the Earth once said leaders were dead and out of her way. However, upon further investigating the tree with his sonic, The Doctor discovered that it was just a normal Earthly weeping willow tree. Why would The Master plant regular Human trees instead of something that could wield destruction in her villainous hands?
“Who the hell are you?!” You screamed as you brandished a bat protectively while running out of your home toward the stranger in your yard.
“I’m The Doctor. I’m here to help.”
“By snooping around my garden?” You held the bat higher, ready to attack this stranger.
“Darling? What are you - Oh. It’s you.” The Master strode out of the front door of the cottage but immediately stopped in annoyance when she caught a glimpse of The Doctor.
“You know this person?”
“Yes, He’s uh … an old friend. Why don’t both of you come inside so we can talk?” You took one last look at The Doctor before rushing up to The Master. You were now calmer but still curious, especially about who this stranger was to your partner. The Master gladly wrapped an arm securely around your middle and looked over her shoulder to make sure her old friend was following.
The Doctor entered the cottage slowly, not really knowing what to expect. He stood in the doorway watching you and The Master moving an extra seat around a small table and cleaning up some random objects and clothes strewn around the visible parts of the house. The Master gestured to one of the seats, implying for The Doctor to sit there. The Doctor did just that while you and The Master organised a few more things before joining him.
The three of you were incredibly silent, looking around almost everywhere except each other. You were growing anxious, so you reached out to The Master for comfort. She gladly took your hand and squeezed it reassuringly, it felt as if she needed you, too. The Doctor couldn’t stop staring at the place where the two of you were now interlocked. That should have been him holding your hand a reassuring you, not The Master.
“How long have you been on Earth?” Finally, The Doctor spoke, interrupting the embarrassing silence and drawing his hurt eyes away from where you were holding the Master’s hand.
“Probably about fifteen years. I had a brilliant plan to destroy you and your beloved planet, and I was just about to execute it, but then I met Y/n. I abandoned my plan and destroyed everything relating to it, then I reached out to Y/n. We have been in a happy relationship ever since.” The Master looked at you lovingly while briefly recounting your past. The Doctor didn’t believe her for a moment.
“She never hid her past from me. She was transparent with me from the very beginning.” You added. The Master had once mentioned in passing that The Doctor only saw her as a manipulative liar. You felt the deep need to stand up for your partner’s character.
“That doesn’t sound like her.”
“Listen, Doctor, I don’t understand what your problem is, but it sounds like you don’t really know what Koschei is like.” You retorted.
“Darling, can you please make us some tea?” The Master nicely asked you in order to avoid an argument to erupt in your living room. You regretfully nodded, you wanted to get to know your partner’s old friend, but you walked into the kitchen anyway to prepare some tea for the three of you. The Doctor waited for you to be securely in the kitchen before he dramatically leaned forward and spoke to The Master in a hushed, yet aggravated tone.
“You’ve hypnotised them. You must have.”
“Why can’t you just be happy for me for once?”
“I will never be happy about the idea of you hypnotising innocent people.”
“I have never hypnotised Y/n and I never would. How dare you accuse me of doing such a thing!”
“I’ll stop whatever plan you are devising, and I will save Y/n from you!”
“In the many centuries I have known you, Doctor, I have never known you to be this delusional. It’s truly astounding! You must get your head checked! And on a more serious note, stay away from Y/n. You are clearly delusional, but if you hurt Y/n or kidnap them away from me or away from our home, I will not hesitate to destroy you.” The Master threatened.
“See! I knew you were still evil!”
“I just want to see Y/n safe. You are the one threatening that. I am in no way planning on returning to my life before Y/n, unless you take them away from me, Doctor.”
“I don’t believe you.” The Master huffed. She slouched back into her chair and pinched the bridge of her nose before speaking again.
“I pity you, Doctor, and I wish that you would have reacted more rationally. We used to be friends. I haven’t forgotten that, but clearly, you have.”
“Master -”
“I was afraid that this is how you would react. That’s why I didn’t tell you of Y/n when we first began dating or on our first anniversary or even when moved in together. I know that you no longer care about our history before I made my mistakes. I think you should leave before we continue this in front of Y/n and you upset them.” The Master looked The Doctor in the eye with sincerity. The Doctor didn’t know what to believe anymore.
“The tea’s ready! I made Prince of Wales. I also got us some biscuits and cookies. The Master once mentioned that you had a sweet tooth, Doctor.” You said cheerfully while walking back into the room where the two Gallifreyians were sitting.
“Something came up in The Doctor’s schedule, I’m afraid, and he won’t be able to stay for tea.” The Master sent a glare to The Doctor, hoping that he really would spare you from overhearing over a thousand years' worth of hatred for each other being spewed out venomously.
“Yes, I am terribly sorry to have troubled you, but I must be leaving.”
“Well, at least take some cookies. They’re homemade!” The Doctor bittersweetly piled some cookies onto a napkin and gave you a tight-lipped smile.
Once outside, The Doctor took one last look at you through the little cottage window. He wondered if you were truly happy. You did look happy. The Master also looked happier than The Doctor had ever seen her throughout all of her regenerations, and that’s what scared him. The Doctor would definitely be keeping a close eye on the two of you. Possibly he could reach out to you when you were alone. Maybe he could even help you see the truth in The Master’s character. And maybe you would even see how much better for you The Doctor would be. The Doctor had to help you see the truth.

------------------------------------------------------------
There was a random knock on your door, jarring you away from your reading. You were too confused to act at first, you hadn’t ordered anything online, and you hadn’t even ordered takeout. There was no reason for there to be a knock at your door today. You found your bookmark, but not as fast as you would have hoped. The bookmark, having fallen and cocooned itself within the blanket strewn across your lap, made itself very hard to find. The knocking increased rapidly as you finally escaped your soft prison. You haphazardly placed the book on the nearby coffee table, which was riddled with random objects and dishware because of your lack of cleaning your apartment recently.
You stumbled to the door; legs sore from sitting for so long. You rifled a hand through your still slightly damp hair as you opened the door quickly, having grown annoyed by the knocking that seemed to grow in volume and in pace. Whoever was on the other side of your front door seemed to be in an impatient mood. Your eyes went wide with shock when the identity of the annoying knocking person was revealed.
“What are you doing here, Master?” Your tone was confused, and a bit angry, he had been unusually quiet for months, ceasing all calls and texts and especially visits. You assumed that he got into trouble with some alien government he tried to scam once in the past or he was aware of the current pandemic and just wanted to avoid the whole debacle, or, even more likely, both options simultaneously. No matter what his reasoning for not communicating for so long, it still stung for him to abandon you so abruptly and coldly.
“What?! Y/n, I thought that you would be happy to see me! I’m sorry for not talking to you for a week,” your mouth fell open in shock, which he didn’t notice due to his rambling and his dramatic hand movements, “but I’ve been busy, scheming, planning, overthrowing planets … did you change your hair …” He finally noticed something, at least. He seemed unaware of the fact that his week of adventures had been four months of quarantine for you, but at least he noticed was something. You allowed him into your living room, hoping that he would close the door behind him as you picked up and organised some stacks of books, random discarded hoodies and old takeout menus that might become useful if The Master were to spend the night.
“Oh, yeah, I might have had a breakdown a couple of weeks ago and just made an impulsive decision. Said decision being based on a couple of months of questioning if I would look good with a different hairstyle…,” you looked at him in the middle of tidying up to see The Master now shocked. You imagined that your face and demeanour mirrored his current appearance when you opened the door, which might have explained his smirk then. The look of being verbally or situationally lost and left to pick up the pieces was funny to witness, and confusion and shock looked very cute on his face, making this situation bearable.
“Do you like it?!” You questioned to draw him out of his running mind.
The Master stuttered a bit, looking anywhere but your face, “Y-yes, I like it. You look … nice.” He stroked his eyebrow with his finger before helping you move some books from the coffee table, he still did not understand exactly what situation he left you in. With the general area around the coffee table and couch relatively clear, you offered him a seat while you went to go make some tea for the two of you.
He didn’t take you up on that offer, however. He merely followed you into the kitchen silently, resolving to lean against the counter and stare at you as you worked. He was still confused, but his shock mellowed a bit. You were always a mystery to him. You were a strange little Human that made him feel things. Things that were meant to be an impossibility for him to feel. Now he had to work out the mystery of what had occurred in your life since he dropped you off at your flat. And given the fact that he was already agonising over the mystery of how you had so much power over him, he preferred not to overwork himself.
“How long have I been gone, for you?” You looked at him in the middle of a journey to retrieve a jug of milk. His face was calm, but his eyes were large and sad, searching every part of your body, excruciatingly trying to find any differences in you or your personality other than your new haircut. He feared that you might have done more to yourself during your self-described breakdown.
“Almost five months. You dropped me off right before the quarantine was enacted.” you handed him a purple mug you had bought for him, but he insisted that you keep it at your flat in case he threw it during one of his infamous fits of rage. He thanked you for the tea and acknowledged the time apart but questioned the quarantine. Five months wasn’t awful by his standards, maybe to yours, but you were Human. He knew, however, how much trauma and tragedy can make a short time feel like forever and make a person desperate for the agony to be over.
“You know, the covid-19 crisis. The crisis reaching pandemic levels that certain world leaders are trying to ignore until it goes away. You know ... that quarantine.” You tried to joke, both to cheer yourself up from the past five months of boredom and fear and as an attempt to get The Master to smile. He did not smile, unfortunately, he kept staring at you, eyes searching for any pain in your words and actions.
He placed his mug down on the kitchen counter, then softly removed your mug from your hands and placed it on the counter in order to join his own. He turned back to you, stepping closer, ghosting his fingers over your own. He was secretly asking your permission to hold your hands. Which you accepted, interlocking your fingers together.
“I’m sorry.” He spoke so softly that it alarmed you. He had only spoken with you this softly one moment before, after being trapped on Earth for 77 years. He brought your interlocked fingers up to his lips to kiss your knuckles.
“I did not mean to be away for so long. I wouldn't have even left you if I knew you would be forced to be on Earth alone. Especially for nearly five months!” You removed his hand from yours, his eyes shone with hurt at the loss of contact until he realised that you were trying to readjust the two of you into a hug. The Master clung to you, resting his head in the crook of your neck. He would occasionally kiss and nip at your soft skin, but go back to breathing in your scent, grounding himself in your comforting presence. He hated being alone without you. You hated being alone without him. Neither of you spoke about this, but you both knew of the other's feelings.
“You would tell me if you were hurting right?” He hugged you slightly tighter, causing the buttons of his waistcoat to dig into your stomach.
“Of course, why?” He could tell that you weren’t lying, and he smiled at your loyalty but brought himself back to what you had mentioned.
“You said that you had a breakdown.”
“Well, I did message you. You didn’t answer, but I guess that has to do with a weird time thing.” He shook his head in disbelief at your Human memory.
“Yes, weird time thing, thank you for using the technical term I taught you. My phone will adjust to the correct time, eventually.” As soon as he said that, almost like magic, his phone went off with a series of dings and vibrations.
“Why isn’t it automatic? Like when you go to a different time zone?” The Master looked you in the eye, and you knew what he was going to say.
“Weird time thing.” The two of you simultaneously spoke. The Master began to scroll through the barrage of old messages that finally appeared, growing more and more disgruntled and worried with each new message. His forehead creased and his brows furrowed, his mouth was set in a permanent frown. Upon reading one message, he drew his lip into his mouth and bit it anxiously, something you had never seen him do. Maybe it was a habit he picked up from watching you do it so many times. But he quickly returned to his seriously stern expression when he realised you were watching him.
You were tired of this, and you didn’t want to see his reactions to the voicemails you left him, which were even more anxiety-ridden and depressed in nature. You tore the phone from his grip and pocketed it. Before he could complain, you enveloped him in another hug.
“I’m fine now, Master. You’re here. Please stop worrying about me.” He reciprocated the hug, cradling your head in his shaking, worry-caused, hand.
“I will never stop worrying about you -” You cut him off, guessing what he was going to say.
“Yes, because I am a pathetic little Human. I'm from too fragile of a species to actually take care of myself properly. Blah. Blah. Blah. I heard this speech five months ago!” You chuckled into his neck, which he loved the feeling of, but he corrected you.
“Actually, I was going to say that I will never stop worrying about you because I care about you.” You tried to look at his face, but The Master’s tight grip on you kept you pressed against him.
The two of you never talked about your feelings toward each other, but both of you knew that feelings were present. You would both hold each other for long periods of time, like this one. You would kiss each other on the cheek, forehead, hands, neck, basically anywhere except for each other’s mouths because that might have been too intimate in the past. The two of you would even jokingly call out to each other with the moniker ‘my loving spouse’. The two of you would also occasionally say that you loved each other, but always in tones of jest to try and mask the truth and weight of the words. Maybe the wall you both put up was finally breaking down.
Out of nowhere, The Master shot backwards from the hug, placing his hands on your forearms to keep you in place, as he cracked a cheeky smile.
“Idea! Do you want to get off of this miserable planet and go on an adventure?” You breathed a sigh of relief, desperate to do something off of the planet Earth and to get out of the emotional state that you have been in recently.
“Absolutely! An adventure anywhere sounds fantastic!” His smile grew even wider at your response. He rolled his shoulders back in confidence, grabbing you by the neck and giving you a kiss on the forehead before running to your door and, subsequently, his TARDIS, pulling you in tow. He bounded inside, leaving you to close the door of the TARDIS, as you had left him in a similar state earlier. However, The Master’s excited attitude crumbled as a loud beeping began emitting from the console.
“What is that noise?” You questioned by his side, trying to understand the Gallifreyian writing flashing on the console screen.
“It’s an alarm.” He grumbled, he leaned his hands on the console, his head falling down between his shoulders.
“Yeah, I can see that, but what's alarming you about what? What’s wrong?”
“Oh nothing,” he said sarcastically, raising his head and talking with his hands dramatically, “Just an alarm informing us that no individuals can leave the planet Earth or this period in time for the foreseeable future until the virus dies down!” He walked over and slumped down onto a nearby sofa, his head falling in his hands. You walked over to sit beside him, wrapping an arm around his back to massage his shoulders and leaning your head against his.
“I know how much you hate Earth, Master, especially being stuck on it, but at least you won’t be alone. You have me this time.” He looked up at you, eyes holding back tears. He really didn’t want to have to do this all over again.
“I love you, Y/N.” This was his way of thanking you for being beside him when no one has ever done that before, and also his promise to not leave you alone like he just accidentally had. It might have been accidental, but he still felt guilty. A tear fell from his beautiful and inviting eyes. You reached up to wipe it away.
“I love you, too, Master.” This was you making the same promise to stay by his side and the same declaration of appreciation for his willingness to stay with you. You took the opportunity of this soft moment to place an impulsive kiss on his lips like you always wanted to. It was just a peck, though, but The Master deepened the kiss in a fervour. He passionately held your face in his hands and caressed your cheekbones with all of the pent of love for you he has trying to suppress since he met you. The two of you broke apart, eventually, both breathless with bruised lips.
You and The Master ended up holding each other until you both fell asleep, there on the TARDIS console room sofa, blissfully unprepared for what your future would throw at you but determined that the two of you would make it through. As long as you each had each other, you and The Master would make it out together. No matter what.
Also (continuing from my last post) I love Benoit Blanc!!!

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. This is based on a request, from @flybi91, asked on my old Tumblr. I finally posted it after many mental health troubles. I’m hoping to post much more during this year because I am finally feeling better. This is such a cute request, though, and I really enjoyed writing it! I hope you enjoy it. 💜
----------------------------------------------------------
Whenever you were home, you would walk out into the woods that surrounded your home and meditate in nature. Something about that environment calms you down and makes you feel real, where other environments could easily overstress you and make you feel cluttered. The Master tried to recreate the environment around your home in a personalised meditation room in his TARDIS for you, but it wasn’t the same. There were no random animals that would come up to you while you were meditating or relaxing, and the manufactured wind just felt off.
You were very grateful for The Master’s efforts, but sometimes you just needed to recharge back on Earth. The Master tried to be sympathetic, but he had difficulty in doing so. His memories of Gallifrey were rarely peaceful. He wanted to see you happy though, so he would, slightly reluctantly, travel to Earth and allow you to stay there for as long as you needed. But he would never be that far away from you, even if you thought you were alone.
You had been home for a couple of days but were unable to spend any time outside. Some days it was because you were too tired to venture out, other days it was because of rain, or sometimes it was because you had plans with your friends. But today, you were free to finally do as you wished and you grabbed a picnic blanket and headed outside. Dew covered the ground and there was a nice fog that surrounded your home. The sun, still, had yet to rise, but the sky was lightening by the second.
You spread your blanket out at the edge of the woods and sat down with your legs in a crisscrossed position. It had been so long since you were on Earth that you forgot that it was frog season. So, when you heard the frogs croaking, you immediately jumped up and began searching, completely abandoning your picnic blanket and plans to relax. It didn’t take you long to locate where the little croaking cuties were hiding. A bit inside the woods, there was a small lake that was an offshoot to a stream nearby and the frogs would usually lay their eggs there.
After finding the frog’s hideout, you ran back to your house to get some snacks. Then you picked up the blanket you had left on your lawn and walked back down the path to the lake to settle down. You opened some of the containers of snacks for yourself and, hopefully, some cute creatures. Soon, you were able to coerce some frogs to join you on your blanket, then some friendlier frogs hopped up onto your lap. While other frogs simply enjoyed your gift of strawberries. You smiled at the scene before you. This was exactly what you needed to calm down, but you were saddened at the thought of The Master not being here with you.
You had grown quite close to him throughout your travels together. You interpreted your relationship with the renegade Time Lord to be heading down a more intimate path. You weren’t exactly quick to pick up on the lingering gazes or the protective gestures he would give you, but they were much too obvious now for you to ignore. You believed that he noticed the change in your relationship, too, but he was too stubborn to admit that he had feelings for a Human, and you were too bashful and scared to confess your feelings out of fear of rejection.
You sat calmly, petting a large toad, while feeding it an equally large strawberry. Suddenly, you saw a couple of slugs on a nearby plant and became even more excited! You stealthily and carefully moved the pair of slugs onto your blanket. You gave them some grapes and strawberries to eat, as well. You had to get The Master here to see this moment, even if he was doing something important. You didn’t know if he had even seen Earth frogs or slugs before, and you believed that him being here with you to see this sight took precedence over whatever he was doing. You knew that he didn’t understand why you enjoyed Earth so much. So maybe if you called him here to sit with you, then maybe he would understand why you felt so peaceful here. You grabbed your phone and called the Time Lord.
The Master was tinkering with his Tardis console right before you called. Not because he needed to, but because he was bored. The Master never knew what to do when you weren’t around, and he hated that feeling. He tried to deny the fact that you were the reason why he woke up in the morning for a long time, but he had practically given up on doing so now. You were the reason why he started his day, why he took care of himself, why he wanted to show off. You had completely consumed his life. He wasn’t prepared to tell you this fact yet, but he was preparing to do so. He jumped slightly when he heard his TARDIS phone ring. His TARDIS had clearly made the phone ring louder to draw him out of his thoughts. The Master picked up the phone and was about to ask who was calling, but you cut him off.
“Master! Come here! Quickly!” You were so excited that you couldn’t regulate your volume and your voice came out as a bit of a scream. In shock, The Master jolted forward and hit his head on the underside of the console.
“What?! Are you okay?” His voice echoed with a worried growl.
“Yes! Just come here!” The Master stood up, rubbing the bump on his head, again shocked after you had ended the call without a goodbye. You never did that. You always gave agonisingly long goodbyes filled with sweet testimonies about how much you missed him and wished to see him sooner. He had immediately assumed the worst. As fast as he could, The Master plotted a course to your house.
The Tardis appeared in the middle of your living room. The Master bustled out of his ship, almost ripping over his feet, anxiously. The Master called your name, but he heard no response. He ran upstairs then down to your basement, then scanned your house for any sign of life. You were nowhere to be found. The Master released a defeated huff and prepared to phone you again to find out where you were, but then he remembered something.
Soon after the two of you met, The Master noticed your love of jewellery. The closer he got to you, the more The Master wanted to protect you. So, he may or may not have gifted you a necklace for your birthday that contained a tracking device. The Master had never had to use it for what it was intended for, you thankfully had never been kidnapped, but he had found himself watching the tracker for hours whenever you were away on Earth, and he had given up trying to distract himself from your absence. It gave him some peace of mind to see you walk around your house or go to the shops.
He hit his forehead with the palm of his hand for being so dumb as to not think about the tracker sooner. He had, in fact, had the image of the tracker up on his TARDIS console before he got bored of watching you sleep. He hated that in his fear of losing you, he might have wasted time in saving you. So, The Master began following the tracker toward your location, his walking soon turning into a run when he remembered the urgent tone in your voice. He huffed, thinking that these new emotions would be the death of him, or even worse, the death of you. He looked down at the tracker once again, while turning onto a small path, but looked up suddenly when he heard you calling his name while walking up to him.
“Y/N are you okay?!” The Master quickly pocketed his tracking device before you could see it and question it.
“Yes! Of course, I am okay, silly!” Once you were by the alien, you hugged him tightly, happy that he did actually come to see you instead of hiding away on his ship. The Master hugged you back tightly while nuzzling his face in your neck and inhaling your scent. He was so relieved that you were not hurt, but he quickly pushed you back by your shoulders to question you.
“Then why did you scare me half to regeneration?!”
“Oh! I just wanted to show you something. Follow me.” You turned and walked down the path back toward the pond until you realised that The Master wasn’t following you. He was standing at the top of the path staring at you, gobsmacked and completely out of his depth at the idea that you just wanted to see him. You huffed and trenched back up the path and grabbed The Master’s hand and pulled him along the path behind you. You let go of The Master’s hand to move away some of the frogs and slugs from the middle of your blanket so the two of you could sit without hurting anything.
“Why are we here, Y/N?” You sat cross legged again and returned your attention to the small creatures.
“Frogs!” You turned to look at The Master, grinning from ear to ear, while holding a couple of small, green frogs in the palm of your left hand up to him.
“You called me here to look at … frogs?” You held up your right hand to The Master, as well, which contained a large slug eating a strawberry.
“And slugs! Lookie! They are so cute!” The Master sighed, unable to stay cross at you when you looked so happy. He smiled and moved to sit beside you on the blanket, careful not to squash anything.
“So ... what are these tiny creatures, again, and why do you like them so much?”
“This is a slug.” You placed a slug in the rebel Timelord’s hand, along with a grape for the tiny creature to eat.
“Why is it so slimy?” You ignored his question, assuming that he would not actually want to know all of the intricacies of the mucus slugs excrete. And because he might hurt the poor creature in disgust.
“And this is a frog. Be careful! You have to be gentle so as not to hurt them!” The Master looked at them curiously, almost scientifically. He had heard about them each briefly in textbooks about Earth and its various biomes, ecosystems, and organisms, but he never had the opportunity to interact with them. He looked back at you with less judgmental eyes and questioned you again.
“You never answered why you like them.” You paused briefly before answering, wanting to be fully genuine because you knew that’s the kind of response The Master wanted to receive.
“I don’t know. They are just cute. I would always go frog hunting when I was younger, and I would always save the slugs that the mean kids would try to pour salt on when I was at school. They are just sweet creatures. And I like them. They deserve respect just like everyone else.” The Master shook his head slowly; he had a bittersweet smile written on his face. You questioned why he was acting this way.
“You’re too good for me, Y/n.”
“I don’t think I’m too good for you, Master.”
“On your day off you decided to feed frogs and snails freshly cut strawberries and grapes. Then you gleefully called me to show me said fruit eating creatures. That’s the most disgustingly sweet thing I have ever heard. It’s as if you walked out of a 2000s indie movie.”
“And because of me and my disgustingly sweet attitude you can now make the reference!” You poked his side jokingly.
“Ugh! You’re ruining me, Human!” The Master rolled his eyes playfully and bumped your shoulder with his. He made the excuse with himself that he just wanted to joke around with you, but he really just wanted to be closer to you physically.
“Come on! You love having me around and you know it!” You bumped his shoulder, just as he did to you, but you didn’t move after, keeping your shoulders touching one another. The Master stared at you sternly, but his eyes remained warm. He was upset that you noticed his soft spot for you, fearful of what that meant for the two of you, but he couldn't deny your sweet, smiling face. You didn’t seem worried about the future, so he assumed that the serious conversation the two of you needed to have could wait for another day.
“You’re right. I do like having you around, my little Human.” The Master took his free hand and poked your grinning cheek before wrapping his arm around you to pull up into his side. You kissed his cheek then nuzzled into the crook of his neck before the two of you continued to feed the tiny creatures. You spent the rest of the morning talking and relaxing with each other in the woods by your home before eventually returning to his TARDIS.
You had come back to Earth to recharge, but nothing that Earth could offer would ever compare to the quiet moments you had with The Master. You were happy to have two of your favourite things collide in such a peaceful way and hopefully it will happen more often in the future.
Maybe if I keep writing Dhawan!Master fluff nothing bad will happen to him in The Power Of The Doctor
Happy first day of Hanukkah to all of my Jewish followers that celebrate!

“What are you eating?” Missy questioned you as you entered the Vault.
“Chocolate. Why?” You broke off a large chunk, chewing happily while dancing a little dance over to where Missy sat on her couch.
“What kind of chocolate?” Missy seemed intrigued and you couldn’t really understand why. Once you swallowed the treat, you said that it was just a normal milk chocolate bar, but you had other flavours like dark and white chocolate, mint, caramel and sea salt. You were going to list even more flavours of chocolate you just bought from your trip to the store, but Missy interrupted, with a raised, tutting hand.
“No, no, no, what planet?” You gave a questioning look causing the Time Lady to sigh dramatically and enunciate her explanation concededly, which made her Scottish accent more noticeable.
“You know, what planet is the chocolate from? Gallifreyan chocolate, Adipose chocolate, Raxacoricofallapatorius chocolate?” You giggled at the idea of alien chocolate. The very common sweet had always seemed so Human to you.
“No, it's just Human chocolate.”
“Oh, I've never tried Human chocolate.”
“Wait really?” You were only slightly shocked. Missy had tried to take over Earth so many times that you thought that maybe she would have tried something Human before she destroyed the planet. However, she claimed to “hate” Humanity and everything revolving around Earth, so you understood why she wouldn’t want anything to do with Human chocolate.
“Before you, I’d never felt the need to interact with Human culture. I’ve always preferred Gallifreyan flavours or food from this one restaurant planet that I've been meaning to take you to. I swear that I will as soon as I get out of here. But is there any need for me to have Human chocolate? What if I hate it and become super cross with you? We wouldn’t want that, now, would we?” Through her rambled excuse as to why she wouldn’t want to try any of the sweets you had, Missy was unaware of you reaching forward with the open candy bar in your hand. Once she noticed, Missy only stared at you, dumbfounded.
“What? You actually want me to try Human chocolate? I love chocolate, but you want me to eat HUMAN chocolate?”
“Well, before, it sounded like you really wanted to try it. But if you really don’t want any, I guess that I will just have to eat it all by myself.” You broke another piece of chocolate off and plopped it into your mouth.
“No!” Missy screamed at you, making you recoil in shock. She never let her composure dissolve because of emotion, but she quickly regained her normal casual yet flippant attitude.
“No, I’ll gladly try it, but only to make sure that you don’t get a stomachache from all of the sweets, dearie.” You smirked at her obvious lie and Missy plucking the chocolate from your hand. She broke off a decent chuck and dropped it into her mouth. She made a face that tried to convey that she didn’t enjoy it, but you could tell she loved the sweet. Thankfully, she dropped the act quite quickly and began alternating between chewing and sucking on the chocolate in order to get the most flavour out of the chocolate.
Missy made, frankly, obscene noises when she continued to eat the piece of chocolate, making her face heat up slightly. She quickly broke off another piece, savouring the new taste. You asked if she liked it, part of you couldn’t tell if she was just overacting in a condescending manner or if she legitimately enjoyed the sweet this much. Missy was so consumed by the food that she didn’t even respond, she just nodded vehemently. She cleaned her mouth with her tongue, and then licked her fingers, making herself positive that she consumed all of the snacks before speaking.
“Imagine how amazing this already fantastic dessert would become if I were to cover you in it a lick it all off.” You were unable to respond, too embarrassed by Missy’s brashness to form a proper thought other than the image the Time Lady conjured in your mind. However, before you could utter a scrap of a thought from your flustered mouth, the loud clanking of The Vault opening drew you from your thoughts.
“Lick what off what, Missy?” The Doctor questioned, clambering into The Vault.
“Your blood from my heels if you don’t stop interrupting me and my lovely during our private time.” You could help but become even more flustered and look away from the equally embarrassed Doctor, as Missy smirked proudly at both of your reactions. She was fully intent on incorporating any and every flavour of chocolate into any and every part of your and Missy’s lives. When you looked into her eyes, you could see her formulating plans, but for the moment, you tried to listen to what The Doctor was saying to prevent your body from betraying you, even more than it already was, in front of him. But it would be a lie to say that your mind never slipped into thinking about what Missy was going to do with her newfound love of chocolate.

------------------------------------------------------------
It was about mid-afternoon on the planet SEK-217, the two suns were mostly covered by a thick overcast, but it was still a lovely day for an adventure and a lovely day for a scheme. The Master clicked open his fob watch to check the time. It wasn’t the same fob watch he was given by the leaders of Gallifrey, it was the one he had commissioned after he destroyed his home planet. He loved the look of them, but the wound of the Timeless Child was still fresh, and he didn’t want to carry any memorabilia of the past on his person.
You were late. The Doctor must have kept you and her mindless troop of fans trapped in one of her rambles. She was always playing host. It made The Master sick. He wanted to be the one to teach you about the Universe; he wanted to show you everything.
You didn’t know about The Master’s want, however. You didn’t even know that you were late for your appointment with him. You barely even knew who he was. You only heard vindictive whispers about him from Yaz and The Doctor.
The Master had infiltrated The Doctor’s TARDIS months ago, long before The Doctor had any sort of inkling that he had survived Gallifrey. He initially wanted to stalk The Doctor and figure out all of her companions' worst nightmares to use all of the information he gathered against them.
But The Master was distracted by you. He was surprised that you were still a companion. You were a fan of the more quiet adventures and all of the chaos of the recent adventures you went on were getting to you. The Doctor had tried to comfort you, but she was never able to fully calm you. The Master knew that he could take care of you better than she ever could.
The Master had grown fond of the idea of you and wanted to learn more about you. He would sometimes sneak little notes and comfort items to you, but unfortunately, you always thanked The Doctor or The TARDIS, never him. He wanted to make you see him and realise that he was the one helping you. He wanted you to know that he would always be the one to help you.
He initially had problems devising a plan to get you alone. Since you started feeling the stress of the adventures and travels with The Doctor, the more she felt the need to surround you at all times. The Master thought that his Best Enemy was overcompensating, mostly to keep you around instead of leaving her. You seemed to like the company, but you kept your mind hidden telepathically from her, and subsequently The Master. He assumed that the reason was that The Doctor was also trying to read your mind and you put up mental protections. The Master’s hypothesis was practically confirmed when he felt The Doctor’s presence in Yaz’s mind. She must have moved on to someone less likely to fight back against the telepathic pushes. The Master could still sense The Doctor’s obsession with you. She needed to learn her place.
The Master felt The Doctor’s guilt. She hadn’t asked for consent and The Master found that to be weak of her. He was aware of the slight irony, but this whole process began as a villainous act, so consent wasn’t crucial for him to obtain at the time. That would spoil his fun. However, even if you hadn’t placed mental protections on your consciousness, The Master refused to look through your mind without you knowing. He had no moral objections to watching you but crawling through your most personal moments for his own pleasure, he would never do that unless you allowed him to. He wanted to learn about your truest self from you, not from snooping.
The Master eventually devised a plan to interact with you alone. He ended up enlisting the help of an old revenge partner. Wrez of the Kroakdeilians wanted to take revenge on the Allgars, a neighbouring kingdom to his kingdom. He had contacted The Master to help him. The Master helped because he too had a negative history with the Allgars. But Wrez tricked The Master, using his mind and equipment before turning on him. Now that Wrez had forced the people of Allgar and Kroakdeilia to follow his instruction, they protected him from being found by The Master.
However, Wrez was unaware of The Master’s ability to easily hypnotise anyone. The Master quickly hypnotised an underling to deliver a message of friendship and alliance to Wrez. Of course, this was a lie to get the Kroakdeilian on The Master’s side, but Wrez didn’t need to know that.
All he needed to know was that he would pretend to attack you once you arrived at the designated spot, but The Master would show up and stop him. Then The Master and he would pretend to fight each other, and The Master would win the pretend fight.
Up atop one of the hills of SEK-217, The Master looked at his fob watch once again. You had to be close by now. The Doctor couldn’t keep you forever. A bing sounded on his TCE, notifying him of your presence near the hill across from him where Wrez lay waiting. The Master sent a nod to his compatriot, who he would soon betray, to get ready.
You walked down the pathway, confused as to where Dan had gone. You knew that it wasn’t safe to continue alone, but you had to finish the task The Doctor gave you.
You walked toward two large cliff sides where the pathway you were on cut between them. There was a large enclave that cut into one of the cliff sides and the other cliff side abruptly cut off to a sudden drop to the sea of the planet below.
Suddenly, a Kroakdeilian jumped down before you, causing you to stumble back toward the wall of the enclave. The Doctor said that the only creatures on the planet should be the indigenous species, and she said that none of them were dangerous; a Kroakdeilian should not be here.
The creature swung an arm out to you menacingly which you somehow dodged, but then it pushed you back onto the ground with its other clawed hand. The creature loomed toward you. It blocked out one of the planet’s suns, which peaked out behind a gloomy cloud, with its tall, hunched and spiked shoulders. Just as the creature was about to dig its clawed hand into your vulnerable torse when it was then pulled back by a random force. It then let out a terrible, pained scream as it was shrunk to the size of a doll.
“Thank you! So much - Oh, it’s you.” You were happy to be saved but grimaced upon seeing The Master before you.
“No, I’m The Master, remember?” The Master chuckled as you groaned at his reference to his spy persona. You weren’t in the mood for jokes after almost being killed.
“What are you doing here?” You got up and dusted off your pants to avoid looking at him. He looked better than ever. You always found him to be a very attractive person, but it was clear that he was much more confident now.
“Just a bit of business.” You tried to question him, but he wasn’t forthcoming. He just kept smiling and looking at you, proud of himself for finally getting you alone and killing someone who betrayed him at the same time.
“Fine. Don’t answer any of my questions. I’m going now. Bye.”
“What? I don’t even get a thank you for saving your life?” You responded with a curt ‘no’ and then began walking in the direction you thought you came from.
“Wrong path there, love.”
“Shut up!” You shouted back towards The Master, quickly recorrecting your path while The Master chuckled behind you.
You quickly walked up the path and answered some texts from Yaz, Dan and The Doctor. You explained that you didn’t find what The Doctor wanted you to search for because you were attacked. They told you that they were headed your way to help you. You were going to text them that you were safe until you heard footsteps behind you. You turned around, fearful that the creature had returned somehow or wasn’t alone on the planet, but you only saw The Master tripping over his feet while he toyed with his TCE and another device that looked like a Human mobile phone.
“What are you doing?”
“Following you. Were your eyes damaged in the incident? If you think that you are hurt, I can give you a good once over.” The Master winked at you after eyeing you up and down. You huffed and turned away to hide your flustered face.
“No, I’m fine, obviously. But why are you still following me?”
“So you don’t get attacked by another monster, silly. Can’t return you to The Doctor if you have been torn to shreds, can we now?”
“Return me? I’m not her property or pet or whatever you think our relationship is like.”
“I like the sound of that.” The Master smirked and eyed you up and down again.
“Stop flirting with me.”
“Why? You like it and you know it!”
“I do no -”
“Y/n!”
“Doctor!” You spun away from The Master to see The Doctor and your friends running toward you. You heard The Master mutter something about cockblocking under his breath, causing you to roll your eyes. The Doctor shouted for the rest of her companions to get back behind her.
“What are you doing here, Master? Just give Y/n back unharmed and then we can talk.”
“All I am doing is protecting them, Doctor. I’m doing a better job than you ever could.”
The Doctor asked you what he was talking about, completely not believing a word he was saying. You explained how the creature attacked you while you were out searching for the place where The Doctor directed you and Dan before the two of you were separated. You continued to explain to her that The Master appeared and saved you from the creature, then followed you here to make sure you were safe. Your friends all erupted in a chorus of “what”s and “how is that possible”s and “why would he do that”s and “he’s evil”s.
“I’m standing right here!” The Master exclaimed.
“Yes, I can see that! But why are you here? Why did you save Y/n?” The Doctor continued to spew out questions, causing The Master to dramatically roll his eyes.
“You know, make everyone aware of all of the work I do to make Y/n feel safe.” Your friend group erupted into another chorus of ‘what’s.
“Now run along. Go play with The Doctor’s other pets.” The Master gently pushed you toward The Doctor.
“We aren’t her pets!” Yaz and Dan screamed in unison.
“Well, Y/n isn’t. But you two definitely are!” You shot The Master a vicious look because of his teasing, warning him to stop. He immediately stopped his berating comments and held his hands up in defence, but you knew he was only joking. The Doctor saw this and a million questions about the relationship budding between the two of you, but now, in front of him, was not the time for that. You were safe and the adventure was over because The Doctor and Yaz found whatever your alien host was looking for on their own. So, all of you could go back to the TARDIS and relax.
“We will be leaving now, Master. As long as you don’t have a little friend waiting in the wings to attack us. Might as well bring them out now, so both you and I can protect the people we care about.” The Master tilted his head up contemptuously at his old friend. He was shocked by her audaciousness and the fact that she always called him the supercilious one of the pair of them.
“You have a wild imagination, Doctor, and a lot of gall to think that I would ever collaborate with you. I don’t need you to help me. I can take care of Y/n by myself. Without looking through their mind, I might add.” The Master smirked when your head snapped to look at The Doctor, whose face began to turn a bit red. You tried to question her about The Master’s statement, but she all but ran to her TARDIS demanding for everyone to follow her.
You sighed and began walking toward the ship. You glanced back at The Master, hoping that he might allude to something more, but he was fiddling with his TCE and the Human mobile phone again. You slumped forward continuing to follow your friends, more consumed by your thoughts than your surroundings. Then you felt a notification go off on your phone. You removed the item from your trousers pocket, shocked to see a text from The Master.
“If you ever need me, for anything, just send me a quick text. I will always be ready to defend you.”
You turned back once again; you saw The Master smiling sweetly at you. You waved a goodbye, which he happily returned. Suddenly, he stopped, raising his hand in a matter-of-fact point before pulling out his TCE and his mobile phone once again.
“Also, there is no need to worry about The Doctor. I put protections on your phone, so she won’t be able to track any of these communications. Just wanted to make sure that you knew that this was a safe space.”
You quickly texted back, “Thank you, Master. And thank you for saving me today.”
“I will always do anything for you, and only you, my dear.”
“Y/n, come on! The Doctor wants to leave as fast as possible.” Yaz poked her head outside of The TARDIS, which you were leaning against to causally text The Master. You shot one final glance at The Master before clambering into the time and spaceship.
The Master watched and waited until The Doctor’s TARDIS dematerialized fully before heading back to his ship. He smiled down at his TCE, seeing the three dots informing him that you were typing out another text to him. He knew and accepted the fact that he still had a long way to work forward until the two of you could be together, but he made many successful steps today. And he could guarantee one thing: he planted the seed in your mind to help you lose faith in The Doctor today. Now it was just a waiting game that The Master was prepared to win.
On the journey back to his time and spaceship, The Master whistled and skipped gleefully. All the while tossing the miniaturised corpse of Wrez the Kroakdeilian up into the air and promptly catching it in his hand. He really couldn’t wait to see you again.
I had the weirdest Doctor Who related dream a couple of nights ago.
Dhawan!Master was a TikTok star who loved doing TikTok dances.
Simm!Master was ranting(whining) to Russell T Davies that he portrayed him poorly because The Master would never be sexist or homophobic or transphobic because he comes from a species that can change their gender. Russell T Davies snuck away as soon as Simm!Master was distracted.
Yaz and Dhawan!Master said that we should crash the window of the aircraft we were in because that aircraft was made by Scrooge McDuck and we could sell the glass to the people of Duckburg, but then we ate said glass.
When we made it to the cemetery because we apparently had to stop the villains at a cemetery that was never mentioned before. We found Russell T Davies working with an evil Tennant!Doctor or Tennant!Master trying to resurrect the body of Rassilon. They were all huddled in a creepy mausoleum. And the evil Tennant!Doctor or Tennant!Master was wearing a very cool and campy black floor-length trench coat with white pinstripes. The collar of the coat was very tall and the coat had massive shoulder pads. And he was wearing a tight purple buttoned up shirt.
When Simm!Master saw Russell T Davies again in the mausoleum, he just continued his rant about his poor portrayal in the show.
And then I woke up.
I am now worried for my mental health.
At least Dhawan!Master in my dream constantly stood by my side, held my hand, caressed my body to comfort me, and gave me many forehead kisses.
