I continue to be haunted by the fact that not only does Adrien think that his father was romantically pursuing Nathalie, and not only does Gabriel now know this, but also that this came out because Nathalie nudged Gabriel into talking to his son. And since the adults both thought this was going to be a conversation about Emilie and Hawkmoth, it’s a conversation that Nathalie needs to know the outcome of. Which means that at some point after all of the dust settled she had to bring it up, and he had to remember why the conversation hadn’t gone the way that he’d intended it to.

I can’t imagine that he told her. Not even to wave it off or highlight how absurd he thinks it is (and how absurd he assumes she would think it is). Bad enough that the words are still echoing in his head; he’s not going to put them out into the world again and put them into someone else’s head. But for a moment, just a brief one, he looked at this woman who had spent the past year proving that she would do anything for his son and he saw another path. A simpler way forward. A life where, as Adrien had suggested, he might be happy again.

And then he turned from it, and he told her the only thing that she needed to know. “We need to move more quickly. Adrien is losing faith in his mother’s return.”

Nothing new tbh we know Gabriel is a jerk 😭✋ he probably wrote the letter when he's crumbling to ashes. Changed his mind after seeing the video of emilie. I wonder why nath doesn't just show the video earlier tho.

Also this ep I'm more confused on why marinette wants to give the letter to adrien.

Hawkmoth is just pushing people to finally face their problems and make them fix it. /hj

His evil monologues resemble him too much that maybe it's actually a cry for help. He akumatized people in their emotional state and it (sometimes) helps them to get up.

So in conclusion hawkmoth helps Parisian to be a better person. But who will help hawkmoth then?
