The Amount Of मटका-s And सुराही-s I've Broken As A Kid And As A Teen In Summers Is

The amount of मटका-s and सुराही-s I've broken as a kid and as a teen in summers is insane. I don't know how my parents found the courage to forgive me each time. We used to buy it in UP during summer vacation but never were able to carry it to Mumbai. All thanks to me.

The Amount Of मटका-s And सुराही-s I've Broken As A Kid And As A Teen In Summers Is

सुराही-s have those intricate details and my mother is fond of such pottery. And I've broken multiple. It's the American equivalent of breaking your mother's favourite vase or favourite china dish

matke ka paani has no right to be so goddamn delicious!

Dancing Saraswati Hoysaleswara Temple, Halebidu, Karnataka

Dancing Saraswati Hoysaleswara temple, Halebidu, Karnataka

Halebid – also referred to as Halebidu, Dwarasamudra, Dorasamudra – was a major city prior to the 14th-century in Hoysala kingdom. It is now a small town in south Karnataka. The temple belongs to the Shaivism tradition of Hinduism.

Like major historic Hindu temple complexes on the Indian subcontinent, this temple reverentially includes legends and ideas of Vaishnavism and Shaktism traditions of Hinduism. It was built in the first half of 12th century. During the early 14th century, Halebidu temple site along with others were sacked, looted and much artwork was damaged (particularly nose/face, limbs, sexual organs) by Muslim invaders from northern India (Khilji dynasty and Tughlaq dynasty of Delhi Sultanate). The relief panels present legends from the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, the Bhagavata Purana and secular fables found in Sanskrit texts of Hinduism. Vedic deities such as Agni, Indra and Surya, various avatars of Vishnu, the Hindu goddesses such as Saraswati, Lakshmi avatars, Durga, Kali among others are presented.

The carving is three dimensional where the deep reliefs often emerge as statues with depth. Panels are continuous, with one perspective showing one part of the legend, a perpendicular perspective of the same column or wall or corner showing another part of the same legend. The carving material was soapstone.

Above: Sarasvati is typically shown seated and holding a musical instrument. She is, however, the goddess of knowledge and all arts in Hinduism. The reliefs at Hoysalesvara temple show her in many panel, some where she holds a musical instrument. Three panels show her dancing, in a classical Indian dance posture (all are damaged panels, two of these panels is better preserved, the third is badly damaged). In this better preserved panel, she has eight hands and she holds a pen, a palm leaf manuscript, tools of other arts as she dances.

Newsflash, Hindus have a divine feminine, and no she's not just pretty pretty as Lakshmi, or pure and simple as Saraswati, she's also rage and destruction like Kali and Durga. If you don't believe in this, you're a misogynist, because why will you see only a masculine figure as God?

And what about transwomen? To feel more close to womanhood, they wear churi, payal, and bindi too. Are you telling me that's wrong?

Hindu traditions and festivals just enslave women and reinforce patriarchal practices, karwa chauth for example, a festival where a married woman has to fast and stay famished for whole 24 hours, NO water and food and some of them don’t even swallow their own saliva and why? for the long life and well being of her husband. Husbands are placed on a pedestal in hinduism, he is more revered than god sometimes while reducing women to obedient and self sacrificing caretakers . It reinforces the idea that a woman’s purpose revolves around a man’s needs, his health, his happiness, his survival while her own identity and agency is considered as irrelevant. In this religion women’s existence will always be tied to men and are expected to embrace such misogynistic ideals or else she’ll be labelled as a “too westernised housewife” or other names they love calling when you go against the system

Hindus, Jews And Iranians Stand Against Jihad.

Perhaps the three oldest communities that have faced the onslaught of Islamic jihad for centuries and lived to tell the tale.

Can't talk about any iconic bhakts of Maa Saraswati, but I've never heard a single performance of folk singers in Awadh not have a geet dedicated to Mata Sharda Bhawani. They sing her glories for she is the goddess of art and music.

And Maihar which is in Madhya Pradesh now, is the seat of Sharda Bhawani, and people in huge numbers go there from Awadh to worship her. I've never been there but I really wish to go there one day.

I am

Maybe

A teeny tiny bit salty there aren't like well known iconic Saraswati bhakts

Atleast not any that I know off

There's Mirabai for Krishna and Ramakrishna Paramahamsa for Maa Kali

Like c'mon dude,

I expected atleast a legendary poet or astronomer or mathematician

I'm sure that the ancient universities of India were busttling with Saraswati bhakts

But why didn't they write down any of their stories and lives :(

GURL SAME

Like where did all the Saraswati bhakts go?? Just disappeared into thin air??? 😭😭😭😭

Some or rather most universities were filled with Buddhist ideologies tho so I don't know how many were Saraswati Bhakts bit I'm sure there were some ofcourse

Also another reason could be is because Saraswati wasn't/isn't much worshipped, like in the way Kali, Durga, Vishnu, Shiva, Lakshmi and all are worshipped with temples and elaborate rituals throughout Indian subcontinent...

Like I can maybe name a few temples dedicated to Saraswati and only maybe the eastern side, have a dedicated day to worship her

So yeah... Its sad she doesn't gets the recognition she deserves tho :(

“We just targeted Pakistani terrorist camps and did their job for them.” ==> can’t name a single terrorist camp targeted, can’t name terrorist profiles targeted, can’t name or cite the number of terrorists killed. You know what CAN be named tho? The civilian casualties in Pakistan. The mother and her baby who died, who never had anything to do with a single terrorist attack in India. The child who just went to his local maddrassa to learn his religion. You can’t propagate fake news and agenda without proper verified facts, and expect to act like some saint. Loss of life is horrendous, and your claim of ‘vengeance’ is hypocritical if it comes at the expense of the propagation of more violence, more terror, and more Pehlagams. Be a better fucking human being, before trying to be a better Indian.

Targets in Pakistan-occupied J&K:

1. Sawai Nala camp in Muzaffarabad- This was a training centre for Lashkar-e-Taiba. Terrorists involved in October 20, 2024 attack in Sonmarg, October 24, 2024 attack in Gulmarg, April 22, 2025 attack in Pahalgam were all trained here.

2. Syedna Bilal Camp in Muzaffarabad- This was a staging area of Jaish-e-Mohammed. This was also a weapons, explosives and jungle survival training centre

3. Gulpur camp in Kotli - This was a base camp of LeT, that was active in Rajouri and Poonch areas of Jammu. Attacks in Poonch on April 20, 2023, and June 9, 2024, were carried out by terrorists trained here.

4. Barnala camp in Bhimber- This was also a weapons handling, explosives and jungle survival training centre

5. Abbas camp in Kotli- Fidayeen of the LeT were prepared here. It had a capacity to train 15 terrorists.

Targets within Pakistan

1. Sarjal camp in Sialkot- Terrorists who killed four J&K police personnel in March 2025, received their training at this camp.

2. Mehmoona Joya camp in Sialkot- Pathankot air force base camp attack was planned and carried out from this terrorist camp.

3. Markaz Taiba camp in Muridke - Terrorists who participated in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks were trained here. Ajmal Kasab and David Headley received training here.

4. Markaz Subhanallah in Bahawalpur- This is the HQ of Jaish-e-Muhammad. Recruitment, training, and indoctrination were carried out here.

-source @rhysaka’s post and new channels I cross checked with

And 80-90 terrorists have been killed in the strikes.

Here’s your info <3

शीतला सप्तमी

My family celebrates Sheetla Saptami every year twice. Once in the month of Chaitra (चैत in Awadhi) and then in the month of Shravan (सावन in Awadhi)

My mother has to observe a fast on Saptami and do a pooja before dawn the next day

Hibiscus flowers, doob grass and paan leaves are offered to Mata

There are offerings made, which is completely satvic. There is a puri, a batasa(बतासा), a jaggery filled gujiya (गुजिया), few uncooked soaked chana, a small amount of dahi, a dallop of lapsi(लपसी prepared from flour and jaggery), and a clove(लौंग)

A diya is to be lit and kept on a rice filled earthen bowl called कोसा in Awadhi. Which is kept on a kalash filled with water and adorned with mango leaves
