So like, it's no real secret that the Bohrok were inspired by the Xenomorphs from Aliens right? The way their nest looks, the Exo-Toa/Power Loader, the Krana pull double duty as both facehuggers and as the human skull you can see in the Xenomorphs head under the right angles and lighting, the way the Bohrok head snaps forward to knock your mask of is similar to the Xeno's little mouth darting out to bite your face off, and ofc the Lehvak using acid (like the Xenomorph's blood) rather than air as it's element, even though the other breeds matched theirs up with the main six elements. The references are all very obvious in hindsight, though probably went over most of our little kid brains.

With all that in mind however...

I'm actually really proud of how this came out, drew a lot of inspiration from FF7 and wanted to include the kraata capsule without giving it the hunched back, if nothing else then just for ease of posing. I'm gonna keep working a more complex animation for it but for my first full body I'm stoked

realized my first model was kind of a fustercluck (i definitely didnt accidentally delete it) and decided to give the Miru another go

I know I've been doing Bionicle masks lately, but I wanted to branch out real quick and do some OC work. This is the helmet of my c-tier comic 'villain' oc. He's a dork and likes frogs.

I think I'm gonna do all the original great kanohi masks, in different colors over time. For a second mask, I like this Hau more than my Miru, which I may revisit after some practice.

I know this is a touchy subject in the Bionicle fandom but I strongly feel like if we got another reboot they should change the toa of stone to a toa of air.

The previous reboot already changed Lewa from air to jungle/plantlife, and having earth and stone feels super redundant.

Po-Wahi/Koro are already portrayed as an arid and windy desert, with sandstorms being common, and Pohatu is associated with speed, thus he 'runs like the wind'.

This doesn't change the Po-Matoran from being associated with stone carvings, since many rock structures are made from wind erosion.

'But Lewa can fly, he's always in the air.' I hear you say, to which I reply 'He levitates.' Which I always interpreted as being able to jump higher and fall slowing, giving him more control of his descent, and minimal gliding, not flight. This is still useful when trying to reach tree tops and branches, and reaching the ground without hurting yourself, he is like a leaf on the wind, not actually flying.

I know I'm gonna have the Vahki knocking on my door any second, but I will die on this hill.

You're legit one of my favorite artists, I would love to see how you interpret just a silly idea I had for stickers for my water bottle lmao I know I just did a zero suit nokama but the original design was actually inspired by Spartan techsuits from Halo. But seriously, go for it
