Nic had came to mystic grill for only one reason. He needed some food in his stomach. He was glad to not be working for once. He was tired of dealing with drunks. He did love his jobs most of the time. But lately people were annoying him. He did not mind the flirting with costumers . But sometimes it was just to much. He looked over at the person. “I am just here for food. Not work.”

The unprompted explanation had the younger male raising a solitary eyebrow and a smirk appearing on his lips. ❝ Good for you, ❞ he commented easily. ❝ Are you at least going to invite me to join you? ❞ He questioned mirthfully. ❝ The lack of manners is outrageous. ❞

August sat at the bar with a drink that he wasn’t technically old enough to order (not that his age had ever stopped the teenager) and eyes on a table on the far corner where two people seemed to be in the middle of an argument. ❝ Twenty bucks say she will throw her drink at the boyfriend, ❞ he commented to the other.

Cocking her head to the side, Alaska chugged back the rest of her drink before looking toward the couple, “I’d put fifty bucks on that she would. Guy looks like a fuckin’ idiot.”

August’s attention peaked at the words, always a pleasure to see someone willing to join in his games. ❝ We can’t both win, what would be the fun in that? — I must agree, though, dude’s an idiot. ❞

“I just needed out of the house.” Alexa spoke and it was true as she looked to the confident male who seemed to be playful with the smirk on his face as she put her bookmark in, pulling the novel closer, “What makes you think that?”

August nodded at the answer, deciding not to push for an explanation. ❝ Don’t we all sometimes? ❞ It was what he settled for saying instead. ❝ I just know myself, ❞ he shrugged.  ❝ But you don’t need to believe me, just let me prove it to you. ❞

Klaus chuckled at his son and glanced up at the couple from his place behind the bar. “I’ll match your $20 and raise you $20 that they turn the tables on us and he throws his at her.”

Of course, his father wouldn’t disappoint. August smirked and stole another glance at the couple that had just turned into the most interesting thing in the bar. ❝ Seems to me like you’re going to be a few dollars poorer, old man. ❞ Yes, he liked his odds. ❝ But while we wait — another bourbon? ❞

Trying to be out of her comfort zone, Alexa had her head down at the bar where she was reading a book with a plate of fries still left on her plate as she picked at them, the drink still untouched that someone bought her as she looked up to the voice, “What?” She asked as she looked between the boy and the couple.

❝ Just trying to have a little wager here. ❞ At last, the girl had taken her eyes from the book for long enough to give him the attention he always craved. ❝ It must be a really interesting read if you’d rather do that at a bar than — you know, actually drinking, ❞ he pointed out with a playful smirk. ❝ I do think my company is more interesting, though. ❞

Kai has a bit too much to drink as he leaned forwards on the bar looking over toward the couple in the far corner. “I’ll take on that bet. She’ll end up leaving with him tonight.”

August pondered the words for only a couple of seconds before shrugging.  ❝ Guess we’ll know how low a self-esteem can go and the power of daddy issues. ❞ He picked his drink and raised the glass, sealing the bet.

ABOUT.

this one here is august mikaelson, better known as gus or auggie (family only). he’s twenty and still very alive and with no body counts, which means he still has to trigger his werewolf gene and vampire side. he’s  a really good with everything involving magic though, has been playing around with it for a good time now and he’s curious and eager for knowledge so he’s most likely always flipping through family grimoire and whatnot. and probably messing with stuff he shouldn’t too because why not.

this one has some great self-esteem and i think the only one who could bring that down would be his father. august tends to think he’s always right and sometime don’t know when to shut up. truth is sometimes he likes to push people’s buttons too, it amuses him. he’s not really an asshole though – well, sometimes he can be.

he’s a temperamental one, for sure. gus is usually sort of calm and relaxed and has this ‘i don’t care about much’ aura to him, which is sort of true. he can block a lot of insults as long as he thinks he’s still winning or has the upper hand, but then someone says the wrong thing or does something he doesn’t like and he’s all piercing gaze and ready to throw punches. i guess it could be said he has a bit of a temper and doesn’t deal with frustration too well. baby gotta learn.

august got a sort of artistic soul too. he’s not one to paint too much, but he enjoys drawing and music a lot. he’s a really good piano player so it shouldn’t he hard to find him just playing around with it. he’s also sort of a bon vivant, he likes nice things and has an expensive taste so it’s good that his family’s been around long enough to accumulate some money. you could say he’s spoiled and he’s not ashamed of splurging.

he’s very loyal too, especially toward his family. he’s a proud mikaelson because despite all the shit they’ve done and had done to them, they’ve persevered so how can he not look up to that?
