REAL and this image is way too accurate. i think the difference is because PB is initially presented as feminine and 2 dimensional so people were shocked when she turned out to be a complex character? whereas Marceline was introduced as a complicated character, "I'm a thousand years old and I've lost track of my moral code" being in her first episode, im not completely sure tho but i wish ppl would see the hypocrisy

also there's an entire miniseries where PB changes Marcy but it's to what MARCY wanted. if PB wanted to control Marcy that badly, she would've just declined to revive her, or never even made the machine in the first place. it's easier to control someone who has a limit on the kind of food they eat and when they can go outside, isn't it? not to mention she'd prefer it if Marcy lived forever with her. But she revived her anyways because she fucking loves Marcy for Marcy
