you are the night time fear by PaintItBlack (childe x zhongli) | 22.4k words - god this is such a fucking good blend of smut and angst. it’s kinda long (just like zhongli’s di-) but WORTH IT

Hellbent by virixe (scaramouche x reader) - a literal NOVEL, incredible angst (some fluff, but mostly angst) and i’m normally not one to read angst. it’s literally so good i can’t even put into words how much i was engrossed in it. the author just finished it, i truly couldn’t stop checking for updates as it was coming out!

The Thief and the Harbingers by Lauren___manuel (scaramouche x reader, childe x reader) - PHEW i fell in-love with this depiction of childe so much. it’s being updated every friday!!

As a River Carves Through Mountains by go_ask_ash (childe x zhongli) - PHEW this combo of smut and angst and fluff… again, i’m usually not one for angst. but BOI is the angst in this incredible. i’m eagerly waiting for the next chapter to come out.

Meteor Shower by valkyrie_cha (childe x zhongli) - this had me all types of horny and emotional. it’s not finished, tho, and i don’t think ever will be. SO that’s a warning:’)

diluc’s 4th character story makes it sound like he accidentally joined the fatui. like he said it was a secret underground network made up of volunteers, some who had given up their name. and its from the “north” and he used the term comrades.

I really wanted to explore more of Diluc and Kaeya’s relationship. I see them as platonic brothers, but I don’t have an issue with anyone shipping them. You do you. 

This takes place a bit after ‘Forever Dreaming’ and I do plan to write an alternate ending to make it less depressing.

Diluc, of course, heard about what happened. Kaeya had to kill Albedo with his own hands in order to keep Mondstadt safe. He knew the feeling of losing someone dear to you all too well, though he couldn’t imagine the pain of doing it yourself. He acted like he couldn’t care less, but he had to admit he was worried for Kaeya. Especially now. It’s been at least two weeks since the incident and Kaeya hasn’t visited his tavern once. Usually, he would always hang around either here or the Cat’s Tail, yet he asked around and no one saw him there either.

By now it was starting to take too long. He had to act. He did what he thought he would never do again and showed up at the Knights of Favonious headquarters. He headed straight to Kaeya’s office, but to his surprise, it was empty as well. He glanced around a little to try and find clues of his whereabouts, but all he found was an old picture. Of the two of them as children. Still happy and together with nothing wrong in the world. He frowned and placed it back down. He sometimes wished they could return to that. He also wondered why Kaeya would keep this in his office. It wasn’t relevant to work.

His next destination was Jean’s office. He was let in merely after a few moments of waiting. “Have you seen Kaeya recently?” Jean’s first question sounded.

This utterly shocked Diluc and he frowned once more. “That’s the question I came here to ask,” he said and crossed his arms, his gaze moving to the ground. “I haven’t seen him at the tavern since…,” He didn’t say it out loud, but Jean knew exactly what he was talking about.
