I think it's important to remember, as a rule of thumb, if you take advantage of a social service, it actually makes it easier for other people who need that service to access it. Most of the time, when these services get cut, it's because politicians will look at usage and say "see, no one is really using this thing, we can afford to trim the budget for food stamps by at least half". Whereas if you decide to step up and use these programs, even if you feel like you "don't really need it", at bare minimum it's another data point advocates can use to say "hey, look, people are using this thing, this is an important service we are providing, do not cut our funding".

Trained Aipom help to grab items from high shelves for their wheelchair-bound Trainers.

Those who suffer from PTSD or anxiety disorders have their first ever Pokemon certified as Service Pokemon and their Pokeballs get modified so that they can come out easily whenever they sense their Trainer isn’t doing well and they calm their Trainer back to manageable levels.

And since they’re certified, they have legal protection to be out of their Pokeball anywhere as long as it’s safe (i.e. no Ponyta in fireworks factories or Onix on planes).

Listen, if a Bad President can come in and take away our rights and we're dependent on a Good President replacing them in four years to give us back our rights, then we do not have any rights.
