Would anyone like a free pendulum reading today? I will get to them later today!! If so, please ask!! :)
how did you get into witchcraft/the occult? (i don't know if "the occult" is a great way to describe what you do, sorry if thats a poor word choice đ)
Hello :) the occult is a fine way to put it! Well, in 2014 I had a major life changing event that made me really think about who I was, and my spirituality.  I began to study some pretty mainstream ânew ageâ subjects, like energy, chakras and the like.  I began to dig a litter deeper, but around that time college started and I kind of got overwhelmed.  I never really got into witchcraft though before.  Into my first year of college, I started to question even more than before about religion (I was raised conservative Christian) But it made me really wonder,  So I started visiting metaphysical stores out of curiosity.  I found myself instantly drawn to the idea of a witchcraft, quickly collecting witchcraft books and many pentacles.  I felt such a deep connection to the idea of being able to tap into the energy around me and the elements.  I have a real love for the spiritual aspects, such as the pagan Gods and Goddesses, and also the spells and rituals.  At this metaphysical store, I began to take a tarot class.  I started studying witchcraft even more, reading everything I could ( and sometimes that wasnât always helpful.) But when I found witchcraft, I knew it was for me.  It was a long process overcoming some of the things I was told in the church (no disrespect though, I still honor aspects of my old faith.).  At first, I pushed myself in the direction of Wicca, but I have now taken the path of what I like to call an eclectic witch, using bits and pieces of paganism and other positive religions into my practices!! I hope this helps!! Feel free to message or ask more qâs! My inboxes are always open!! have a great day :)
I thought Iâd start my little series with the most commonly collected crystal!
Chemical Formula:Â SiO2 Mohs Scale Hardness: 7Â Mineral Group: SilicateÂ
Quartz is the second-most common mineral in the Earthâs crust. Chances are, no matter where you are in the world, you can pick up some type of quartz off the ground. Today weâre just going to talk about clear quartz, specifically.Â
Some notable locations where crystal quartz is found are Minas Gerais, Brazil, Arkansas, USA, and the Herkimer county of New York, USA. The most common quartz points you find on the market are the ones from Brazil. They are mined by the ton every year in huge mining operations, and are very inexpensive. Both Arkansas and New York are famous for having great quality quartz crystals, and both offer different sites where people can come dig for crystals themselves. Herkimer county is specifically known for having a double terminated variety of quartz, that goes by the trade name of Herkimer diamond. Some people try to pass off just any double terminated quartz crystals as Herkimer diamonds, but it is important to note that a crystal is not a âtrueâ Herkimer unless it comes from Herkimer county in New York.Â
In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, quartz also has industrial uses. Did you ever notice how some watches have the word quartz written on the face? That is because a quartz crystal is used in the watch to regulate the electronic oscillator. Quartz has rather unique electrical properties that make it a great tool for electronics. Quartz is also rather heat resistant, and very hard and durable. Quartz countertops are quite popular for this reason as well!
Metaphysical: Quartz is a super versatile crystal for crystal healing. Itâs often used to amplify the effect of other crystals. Quartz is very grounding, and can also be a great tool to use in meditation.Â
Quartz is often referred to as a âmaster healerâ as it can be used for almost anything!Â
Buying Quartz: If you are in the market to buy some quartz crystals, here are some helpful tips to keep in mind!
One of the biggest things on the market right now is âaura quartzâ. Aura crystals are crystals that have been super heated and sprayed with precious metal fumes to achieve differently colored shinny and iridescent effects. These pieces are always more costly than just the plain quartz. There are lots of different ways these aura pieces can be faked, as well. It is very common for cheaper knockoffs to be made where the quartz is just painted, and the color eventually peels off or fades.
Quartz also has a couple very common knockoffs! Probably the most common is just simple glass. If you see very inexpensive, perfectly clear crystal balls or pyramids, chances are you are looking at glass. A scratch test can be done to differentiate between glass and quartz. Quartz is harder than glass, so if your quartz can scratch a glass bottle, it passes the test. If it fails or struggles to scratch the glass, chances are it is glass and not quartz.Â
âSmelt quartzâ is another term some sellers use. Smelt quartz is very literally just glass. It will often be polished and shaped into the point of a crystal, and often times it is to try to pass it off as real quartz.Â
Quartz can also be irradiated in order to turn yellow. This is called lemon quartz, and may be falsely sold as citrine. (Citrine is the natural variety of yellow quartz)
Crackle quartz is low quality quartz that has been heated to create cracks, and then dyed. It is very easy to distinguish this, because it is usually very brightly colored with color concentrating in the cracks.Â

Daily Oracle Reading for 6-6-16! <3 Atlantis: Atlantis symbolizes a rapid, quick energy that drives you to pursue your true calling in life, the thing that makes you happiest. She is symbolic of the healing aspect of water. She urges you to tap into that wonderful healing energy to heal yourself so that you may be able to do what you were sent here to do. She encourages you to connect with the divine feminine. Her energy will inspire you to be fearless and pursue your dreams! She works closely with crystals and sea creatures. Connecting with creatures and sea life can help you tap into this beautiful and feminine healing energy. Telepathy: The two beautiful twin mermaids symbolize a telepathic bond between two individuals. A telepathic bond enables people to send messages and energy to one another without using modern technology (even though tech is awesome). As we progress with the wonderful advances of digital and technological communication, sadly we tend to forget about or lose our natural gifts of telepathy and intuition. These mermaids are reminding you to connect with your emotional center, and trust your intuition. Send telepathic messages to a loved one far away, or connect with the energies around you. Be present. Re connect with your emotional self, and your delightful methods of non-verbal communication. Vulnerability: These merfolk represent tearing down your emotional walls, and letting yourself be vulnerable. In order to heal, we need to tear down our emotional blocks and walls so we can be open to healing. That requires being vulnerable, as difficult as that is. If we keep large walls up, and refuse to let healing in and others who are trustworthy and have our best interest at heart, we block our healing. These merfolk urge you to open up and allow yourself to be vulnerable. A guide, a therapist, or a trusted teacher, friend, or relative are a good place to start. This little spread is all about healing our emotional selves and becoming attune to our emotions in order to be able to find our true calling. If we do not heal, we do not have the strength or motivation to help ourselves and others and do what makes us truly happy. Oracle of the Mermaids by Lucy Cavendish (Blue Angel Publishing) Card descriptions are based off of the deck guidebook, but in my own interpretation and my own words.

6.29.16 - Moon in Taurus
This is a little exercise for anyone that wants to begin going into energies and such. Do a little or as much as youâd like every day and youâll find other exercises easier after having this foundation.
So, to begin, sit in a comfortable position and space. You can sit however youâd like, just make sure you have your hands available.Â
Start grounding yourself. You can close your eyes here if you feel comfortable doing so. Take a 3 second breath in through your nose and a 3 second exhale through your mouth. Continue doing this until you feel your heart and lungs begin to sync up and your center aligning.Â
Take your hands out in front of you. Personally, I find having them lined up to my ribcage the most powerful, but if you feel like you get a better reaction by holding them above your head or where ever, go for it man. With your hands out, face your palms together with your hands slightly cupped.
Start with your hands closer together, but not touching. Visualize your energy moving from your chest all the way down your arms and into your hands. You can visualize anything here, sometimes a visualization or sensation just happens, if this occurs, roll with it and embrace it. This is your energy.
Visualize your energy coming out of the palms of your hands. Now, at this point, start moving your hands away from each other and back closer again very slightly. You should just be slightly wavering your hands. If you feel a bit of resistance between your hands when they come closer to each other again, almost as if youâre squeezing a ball, then youâve successfully created a ball of energy. Continue squeezing the ball between your hands.Â
This is generally a good starting point. It may take a few tries for you to feel anything, but once you do, get comfortable making a strong ball of energy between your hands.
But, if you want continue, the next step would to be to make the ball bigger. As youâre wavering your hands, start taking longer pulling them apart. Go bit by bit farther apart from each other. You may feel a temperature difference if youâve gone too far away from your ball compared if you are close to it.
Aftercare (I guess you could call it lol) consists of you recharging. For someone who has never done energy work before, it can be draining. How I like to close this exercise off is by bringing my hands together all the way until they are clasped together. Feeling the energy dissipate or be reabsorbed by my hands lets me know that I donât have any residual energy wafting around.
Afterwords, take a break. Drink some tea, watch a movie, do whatever that you like and recharges you that you donât have to put a lot of effort into. Regaining the energy that youâve let out into the world is an important part of energy work; if you donât do it, then . youâll just run yourself dry and ragged.
â°Have fun!  â©(âœïž¶)â©
