Time for tea! ☕
A glorious afternoon spent with veterans to honour the bravery and service of the Second World War generation.
Those in attendance included British and Commonwealth Armed Forces veterans, WRENs, Special Operations Executives and those who contributed to the war effort on the home front, accompanied by their families and carers.
To mark such a special occasion, the Marble Corridor of Buckingham Palace was decorated in bunting made from fabrics recycled from the Royal Estates.
We remember and pay tribute to all those who served during the Second World War.
The King and Queen, alongside other Members of the Royal Family, joined extraordinary veterans on the Queen Victoria Memorial outside Buckingham Palace to observe military units processing down The Mall.
Alright M8 can you lend me a tenner?
Cheerio! I'd be delighted to help you out, old chap. Instead of a tenner, I'll have my people sort you out with £10,000. Please do send me a message with your details, and we'll get it sorted pronto!
An inspiring evening to remember, celebrate and honour the heroes who risked their lives in the Second World War.
“My thoughts and prayers remain with you for the future happiness and the prosperity of your beloved Island.”

This evening, The King attended the Film Premiere of ‘Ocean with David Attenborough’. The film highlights how the ocean has shaped the world, and why the future of the planet is intertwined with the health of the ocean.
🌊His Majesty, as Prince of Wales, first marked the issue of oil and plastic pollution in the sea in 1970 when he was 21 years old. Since then, The King has continued to champion the importance of ocean health.
King Charles ||| 💬 “I do hope your celebrations tonight are almost as joyful, although I rather doubt I shall have the energy to sing until 2am, let alone for that matter to lead you all in a giant conga from here back to Buckingham Palace!”
