1969 Viking - Packer game. This game was held at Memorial Stadium on the University of MN campus. The Twins were using the Met for a playoff series against the Orioles the next day. In the photo, Dave Osborn #41 has just scored a 2nd quarter touchdown to put the Vikings ahead 13-0. The Vikings won the game 19-7. In the photo you see Tight End #89 Kent Kramer, Offensive Guard #64 Milt Sunde and #11 quarterback Joe Kapp walking off the field. #66 for the Packers is Ray Nitschke.
Francis Tarkenton dropping back to pass. I'm guessing this is 1963. #20 behind Fran is running back Tommy Mason. Tommy was the Vikings #1 draft choice in 1961. Fran was drafted in the 3rd round. Just as an FYI, Middle Linebacker Rip Hawkins was the 2nd round draft choice. Pretty good hall for that first draft.
#11 Joe Kapp hands off to #41 Dave Osborn in a 1969 Thanksgiving Day game in Detroit against the Lions. The Vikings won the game 27-0 clinching the Central Division.
Carl Eller against the Rams in Los Angeles. I think this was a 1974 game. I see #10 Fran Tarkenton in the background. #54 is Linebacker Fred McNeil. #84 for the Vikings is Tight End Steve Craig. Coach Bud Grant can be seen through Carls left arm. #84 for the Rams is wide receiver Jack Snow

#20 Viking Cornerback Bobby Bryant intercepting a pass late in the 4th quarter of the 1976 NFC championship game against the LA Rams. The receiver for the Rams was Ron Jessie. #43 Viking cornerback Nate Wright is watching. Rams QB Pat Hayden threw the pass. Bobby Bryant left his coverage and ran to the middle of the field to intercept the pass. Jessie had beaten Nate Wright so Bryant really saved the day. The Vikings were ahead 17-13 when Bryant made the interception and won the game 24-13.
#29 Karl Kassulke, #70 Jim Marshall, #81 Carl Eller, trying to tackle Chicago Bear #41 Brian Piccolo. I think that is #77 Gary Larson behind Carl. I am going to guess the year is 1968.
Fran Tarkenton speaking with Head Coach Norm Van Brocklin. I think listening in was Offensive Line coach Walt Yowarsky. I am not sure of the year but I think it was 1961 or 1962.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Sammy White in a 1977 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. This is the game that Fran Tarkenton broke his leg. The Vikings won 42-10

Paul Dickson, Jim Marshall, Gary Larson, Carl Eller, and Ed Sharockman waiting to go back in the game. The boys look hot...especially Carl. If I could guess, this is a game in 1967 or 1968.
