Ok I have thoughts about this.

DR seems to be treating relationships that are somewhat similar to the early seasons in the exact opposite way

Jaya was shown to be endgame as early as the pilots with some level of mutual attraction (even if the writing for was. Silly to put it nicely) where as frak x Sora wasn’t even a possibility until season 3 and doesn’t seem likely dispite them being some what simaler characters to the former.

On the other hand you have Kai x Skylor, which dispite being shown as a possibility as soon as the character is introduced is never followed through on. Which is the opposite of the ship for Kai’s trainee, Wyldfyre, and her ship with rody who seems has the healthy version (our at LEAST healthIER) of Skylor’s upbringing. They have a confession faster than Jaya! Within a season of rosy being introduced they have have expressed interest in each other and seem to be starting a relationship the very next season.

Frak x sora is to jaya as wyldfyre x roby is to kai x skylor, imo

I don't know why people think Sora will actually reciprocate Frak's feelings towards her 😭😭😭 This is nottttttt early seasons Jaya dawg, Sora has not shown any actual interest in Frak, whereas Nya was Very clearly attracted to Jay to some extent. Like I get that Ninjago does usually tend to shove Girl and Guy together but it feels so obvious to me that they're Not doing that again here...

DRAGONS RISING SEASON 3 SPOILER

Something I’ve noticed in dragons rising (bc I binged the whole thing I a week) is how often Zane’s humanity is brought into question.

First the agency labeling him as equipment and trying to take away his autonomy, then frak questing if he could feel anything.

Add on top of that the fact that he’s basically a mech now…

I think there’s gonna be some kind of crash out about feeling less then human or smth

This is a rare non Wu post, but this has been in my head for a while now and I need to say it, just a small theory/thought. Don't take it too seriously..

But

Our Zane is DEAD.

Wild thought, right? Like we've seen him come back time and time again, how could he be dead? He's a robot he can't die- no. You don't understand.

Zane DIED in season 3. The son that Dr Julien MADE with his love and care, is DEAD. I've been trying to pinpoint why Zane hasn't felt right to me ever since s3, maybe it's just the way he was made but he further becomes a bot, than, Zane, further becomes the protector of those who cannot protect themselves, than ZANE, than OUR cooking, funny, jokes and japes loving Zane. The Zane who was confused but was..Human nonetheless. The Zane we never even thought could be anything else BUT human, just. Different.

That Zane died when he sacrificed himself. What he was made from, made WITH, could not be replicated. The titanium ninja might look like our Zane, might sound like him sometimes. But he's empty. And only further growing farther than what Zane was. A brother. A friend. Now he's an informat laying heavily on the FACT that he IS a nindroid that can be replaced. Because he WAS replaced.

Our Zane is gone.

And he's not coming back.

I’ve been thinking about this specifically so much lately

My take: lloyd doesn’t know HOW to be anyone other than “the green ninja” bc he got swept in it so young and got basically no breathing room for long enough to find himself.

I keep having this thought.

What do we know about Lloyd besides being the Green Ninja?

Like we know he has Daddy Issues. Romance Issues. Likes Starferer. Has generational and non-generational trauma…likes Pillow Mint…

But like…is does Lloyd have anything besides being the Green Ninja? Son of Garmadon sure but it doesn’t…feel like he is his own person outside his job occupation.
