This is SO funny because apparently Ivor Chipkin just posted a bunch of names on the speaker list without even contacting them to ask if they would participate like what in the world??? I am Hussam Al-Qazzaz from Gaza, and I am writing to you at a very difficult time. The war that swept through our region left us with no choice but to face a painful reality. My house was demolished, I lost my job, my children were dispersed, and we were living in tents under harsh conditions.

Our health situation is at risk, as my mother suffers from high blood pressure, and her health condition is deteriorating. My father suffered serious burns and is now in intensive care, which increases our anxiety and pain. We have four children, Bashar, Hani, Dianah, and Habiba, and my last daughter was born during this war just a month ago.

We used to live in our house in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood. We used to live in peace and security and I had a job, but the war came and took everything from me,

first of all my brother Mahmoud, who was martyred in the bombing of the Baptist Hospital. He left behind his children and wife, and my brother Ahmed, whose front leg was amputated in the same bombing. I lost my house, my family's house, and my job. Now we have become homeless, moving from one place to another. We are gripped by fear, terror, and hunger. My daughter suffers from extreme fear and panic, and suffers from lack of food and skin diseases due to the lack of water and cleanliness.
