Good news! My plan to fix the fact the pompadour wig kept sliding off my head with barrettes worked!! And so…

The quality of the photos isn’t the best, since my brother and dad are at work, and my mom can’t take pictures due to her CP, so I had to take them myself on my little tripod in my hallway. Not the best way to get a photo taken, ha.

But!! I think the outfit turned out so good!! I wasn’t going to cosplay as Mondo to Comic Con this year, since last year my modified hairstyle didn’t turn out very good and I didn’t look much like him. But now! Now I actually kinda look like him and if there are any Danganronpa fans at the con they might recognize who I’m dressed as, ha. Bryce Papenbrook (voice actor for Makoto) will be at Comic Con signing with the Demon Slayer cast, so maybe I’ll try to get a ticket for that autograph, even though I’ve never seen Demon Slayer. The kids at work like it, though, so getting an autograph there would be worth it for that anyway, ha.

So in my familiar faces au, delara looks like jay instead of nya. Today I'm gonna further discuss that idea.

So Nadakhan's backstory is largely the same. He became a pirate, fell in love with delara, and eventually was trapped in the teapot of tyrhan by soto. There are only a few differences so far:

Obviously, delara looks different than in canon. She has long reddish-brown hair (usually tied back), lots of freckles (because hey, as a pirate she'd be out in the sun a lot), and a scar across her right eye (from an old battle - probably with soto. And don't worry I already have lots of jay angst planned that has to to with that scar... You'll see *evil author laugh*)

She'll also have a more developed backstory since I plan on making her a lot more important than she was in canon. I won't dig into it here because that will be explained during the story and could count as a spoiler, but just know it's gonna be a lot more than just nadakhan's fiancee.

Now, when nadakhan first meets jay to try and get him to wish, he doesn't realize at first that jay looks eerily similar to his dead lover. He does feel as if the ninja is familiar to him but he can't figure out why. This is because my hc since the whole character design change after hands of time is that jay has always had freckles and curly hair - he just chooses to hide them out of self consciousness. so when the two first meet, jay’s wearing concealer over his freckles and straightened his hair.

the first time that nadakhan sees jay with his natural features is on tiger widow island- because 1. jay got soaked while being the boat’s lightning rod (which washed away his makeup) and 2. since tiger widow island is tropical it’s probably pretty warm / humid, so his hair would puff up to it’s natural curliness again (an unfortunate event that i and many other curly haired folks out there have shared).

the story will begin on tiger widow island, and i won’t say anything more about the story (for now at least - i’m gonna be asking for y’alls opinion on something story-oriented later so just sit tight rn).

soo first time drawing heatwave (man bots are DIFFICULT for me istg 80% of the time i just cant get it right)

one of my absolute favorite duos ever. favorite bot, favorite human character, and an absolute gold mine of petty insults and banter between them. its like heaven. i need more content of them i legit screamed when i realized kade wasn’t in RBA. i have so many art and fic ideas abt these two you have no idea
