"If the Israeli assault stopped today, and we decided to hold a funeral every single day for each Palestinian killed in the last eight months, it would take us 100 years to honor them all."
The Palestinian speaker at the UN Security Council highlights the devastating toll of casualties among Palestinians resulting from the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
platforming palestinian joy is just as important as sharing the suffering they're enduring during this genocide. despite continued displacement and bombardment, you cannot steal their joy and spirit. happy birthday to this sweet baby π€π΅πΈ may they grow up to see a free palestine
edit: @saffronlesbian made a video description for this post!!
[vd: a screen recording of a tweet from the 20th of April 2024 with 2.5 million views, from Ruhi @/ruhi_hi. the caption reads, "This video of this little Palestinian angel celebrating his bday in a refugee camp" followed by three emoji of a smiling face with teary eyes. the video clip is 11 seconds long and shows a one-year-old baby seated on the sandy ground, smiling hugely and clapping his hands while people sing to him from offscreen and a large cake is placed in front of him. stuck into the top of the cake is a decoration that reads "happy birthday" in english. the video has the tiktok handle @/ibrahim.jamal99 visible in it. /end vd.]

A Plea for Help from Gaza: A Family Seeking Safety
Hello, I am Eman Al-Madhoun, a mother of two children, Walid & Layan. We need urgent assistance.
We live in the midst of the ongoing hellish war in Gaza, trapped between walls of fear and despair.
We struggle daily to survive in an environment filled with threats and dangers.
We lost our home and became homeless, and now we live in a small tent, suffering from insects and extreme cold.
We urgently appeal for your moral and financial assistance to cover the necessary costs for escaping to a safe environment, where we can build a better future for our children and ensure our family's safety.π
We are in desperate need of your support. Any donation, no matter how small, can help save our lives. Thank you for your attention and support during these harsh times.
"Please reblog or donate as much as you can."
My campaign was verified by verifying the link to my brother's account( @karamalmadhoun1 )
Thank you for your kindness and support.
Yours sincerely;
Emanalmadhoun8

Hello, Iβm Ahmed from Gazaππ
Life here is filled with daily challenges due to the ongoing blockade and war. My family struggles to secure our basic needs. My parents are ill, and my children suffer from malnutrition due to a lack of food and clean waterπ₯ππ
I havenβt lost hope, but the war has worsened our situation, making it harder than I can handle alone. Thatβs why Iβm reaching out for your help. Every donation can make a difference by providing food and clean water for my familyπ¨βπ©βπ¦βπ¦
i've shared amal's gofundme (@amalashuor) several times, but i just received messages from her that broke my heart
amal is a 26 year old mother from gaza. she is an incredibly dedicated and loving mother to her year old daughter, maryam. before the war, she was studying to receive her masters degree in french language. on her instagram (@/amal_sufian97_) she shared beautiful photos of her life and family in the years before the war.
now amal, her husband, and maryam have been displaced several times and have nowhere to turn to. amal wishes to finish her degree, and both she and her husband want nothing more than a better life for their young daughter. every time i receive a message from amal, my heart is full knowing she is still alive, but it breaks for her suffering. i implore you, please donate any amount you're able to help amal and her family escape gaza. they deserve nothing less than safety, warmth, love, laughter, security, and life. as of july 6th, β¬1,025 / β¬30,000 has been raised. her campaign is also included on el-shab-hussein and nabulsi's spreadsheet of verified fundraiser (#175). if you're unable to donate, please share. i want nothing more than to give amal hope that she can provide a better life for her daughter.
My name is Musab. I never imagined Iβd be sharing my story like this, but life in Gaza has become unbearable. Iβm one of the survivors of the war here, and in a moment, I lost everything β my home, my safety, and my community. ποΈπ
Iβm a father to three young daughters: twin girls, Alaa and Lama, who are 4 years old, and my eldest, Lina, who is 6. π§π§π§ Lama had to undergo surgery after being injured in an airstrike β she now has metal plates in her arm. We don't even have bread to eat, and when we do find it, the prices are impossibly high. πβπΈ
The war has turned Gaza into rubble. Everything is destroyed. No safety. No stability. No hope. ποΈπ£ποΈ Food and clean water have become luxuries. Hospitals are overwhelmed, and medicine is nearly nonexistent. π«ππ
I am also injured β my shoulder was severely damaged, and I had surgery, but I still need a second operation. The pain is constant, but the greatest pain is seeing my children hungry and afraid. π€β€οΈβπ©Ήπ’
Escaping Gaza is my only hope, but I canβt do it alone. The cost of evacuation is overwhelming, and I simply canβt afford it. I write to you now with hope that my words will reach a compassionate heart. ππ
Iβm not asking for much β just a chance at life for me and my children. A chance to escape fear and destruction, and to begin again in a safe place. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a huge difference. And if you canβt donate, please share my story. It may reach someone who can help. ποΈππ’
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
