Omg!!! Same!
u literally cannot have some sort of kneejerk panicked guiltspiral reaction to learning u hurt someone u cannot start playing out ur imaginary canceled callout metoo moment anytime a loved one thinks uve done something wrong 9/10 people are only communicating that to u bc they want 1) their hurt validated 2) a promise to at least try not to hurt them the same way again 3) a hug not some fucking malicious attempt to destroy ur life
no matter how terrible my day is. i can always end my day in bed imagining fictional characters making out sloppy style and fucking raw. and that's beautiful. there's some good in this world mister frodo and it's worth fighting for
I don't pray and I'm not religious, but sometimes I vaguely hope that there's some Powers That Be who may grant things that people hope for if they deem it right. Unfortunately, they're trickster gods.
I don't pray in some sense of "I deserve these good things to happen to me because I have been good", but more in a "pls permit the conditions that would let me do this, I promise watching me do it would be so fuckign funny"
If your favourite pair of platforms has cracked open as they are prone to doing DO NOT THROW THEM OUT, this is a cheaply fixable situation
These are heavily customized demonia knock-off's which are my favourite shoes bc of how comfortable yet tall they are. About a month ago the right shoe started feeling off and I later learned it's because the sole cracked all the way up to my foot. I went out dancing in them yesterday and more of the sole ripped off so I decided it's high time to fix them.
First i washed the shoe and wiped every surface i would be glueing with an alcohol wipe to get rid of oil and grime and let dry.
Then i put a thin layer of butapren all over the part of the sole that ripped away, let it slightly dry for 3 minutes and stood inside the shoe for about half an hour, without moving, to cement it together.
Then it was time to address the crack. I used rubber glue (glue for rubber, not glue made of rubber) to put one layer of glue on both sides of the crack, let it dry, and then put another bc it was a porous surface, and then i strongly pressed them together for 20 minutes.
After that time has passed I got loose staples and pressed them one by one into the crack, whilst still pressing it together. It adds to my general vibe and also fits the look. I put as many as I could physically fit on the sides and a row of crosses on the underside (might add more later if they ended up being needed). The new structure from the staples keeps the glue pressed, so I'm gonna leave them for 48 hours and do a wear test after but they feel very sturdy :))
