Everything begins to spin. The world around them isn’t quite real anymore, a fragment in the madness spiraling within her mind. Jinx grabs her head with one hand, the other still stretched out to ward away the whispers, the shapes, the claws that long to grab her. 

ALL YOUR FAULT ALL YOUR FAULT–

She turns to him when he says he sees everything. It must be real, then, and everyone around her must be playing a sick joke. Unless he’s the one playing? Unless… Unless it’s all actually fake? ❝ Shut up! I told you to shut up! ❞ Her words are practically drowned by his, though the shadows seem to listen.

They gather around Anti and she stares, watching them dance around him. Claws and teeth and blank white gazes. Claggor and Mylo, her brothers, the people she killed… They aren’t actually here. She knows that (does she?) yet runs back to Anti anyway.

Jinx reaches out, grabbing at his arms to keep herself steady. The glitching is messing with her, bringing out more shapes and colors she isn’t sure are real. ❝ You’re safe, you’re safe, ❞ she tells him, like she isn’t even sure it’s true. But they’re dancing around them both now, like there’s a barrier, like he’s protecting her. It makes her feel a little better, though the voices continue to course through her mind. Her head twitches, this way and that, looking at who’s talking.

❝ I know, ❞ she hisses to the image. ❝ I know that. You don’t have to tell me! ❞

Oh how the demon wished he could see the world through her eyes right now. Anti longs to see what  t o r m e n t s  the girl for himself, instead of letting his imagination (and oh what a wild imagination he has) come up with the visions and stories. At the very least, Anti can add on to whatever it is troubling Jinx. It wouldn’t be nearly as fun to watch her suffer if he had absolutely zero part in it.

Glitches blur his appearance, distorting him for Jinx’s view in seemingly impossible ways. Bright colors flash around him.  ❝ Sh̢̦u̧͙̮̙t̶ ͕̞̙͉͎͉͡u̷͕̯̝̮p̟̝̭ ̱̠̞͙s͓̥h̗͚̥u̞̭̯̭̺̟t̷͇̥ ̰̮͉u͍̠͎̭͇̖̝p͇̰̥̞̬̦͔!̲,❞ he cackles, tone mocking even in his cheery laughter.

His form shakes and shudders at her touch, Anti glitching backwards just a step and flinging his thin arms out wide. ❝ Safe? Do you even know what safe means? What safe is? ❞ the demon laughed, looking around them as if he too was seeing the figments of Jinx’s fractured mind stood near them. ❝ Don’t have to tell ya what? What do they tell you? Good things? Bad things? Oh I hope its bad h́͢͡ee͠҉h̶̀ah͢͢e̸҉͢ḩe̸͢e̸͜! Do they describe the pain of death? I imagine it was a bombastic way to go! ❞

❝O̡ͣͤ̅h̒͋ ̵͊̉̒͐͋ͭǹ͊͐̂́o͆̾͝, I bet it was beautiful in a  b e a u t i f u l  sort of way!❞ Anti corrects the other, pitchy voice giddy as he takes in the sight. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and this beholder finds beauty in the dark and twisted and gory. 

His movements are erratic, arms gesturing wildly around, incapable of being still. He happily pictures pristine, white snow slowly being stained crimson as the blood seeps and soaks in. ❝We should bring more stories like that to life. Bring true beauty to this boring, bland world!❞

Anti watched the  (pathetic)  girl grasp and tear at the air for whatever reality seemed to be melting away from her right in front of her very eyes. It used to be more entertaining, a fun little show for the demonic entity to sit down and watch from the sidelines. But now? Now it’s gotten a bit old, a bit stale. Too repetitive. ( over and over and over )  

He doesn’t let it go on longer, knowing exactly how to bring the little Jinx back to his reality, right here with him. A knife in hand, he blinks in to appearance behind her. Sharp, cold steel pressed to her warm flesh. Just a gentle touch, no pressure applied to draw forth a single drop of blood. Yet. There was still time for some bloodshed.

Blue hair brushes against his chin. Ah, so she wasn’t too  l o s t  in her own mind. Not that Anti would have let her ignore him either way. He’d drag her out of psychosis just so he himself could personally escort her back there.

❝ Don’t sound so surprised, Jinxy. When have I ever gave you the idea I’d leave ya? ❞ Anger flashes across his features, only for a moment, as he gazed down at her, dual colored eyes focusing on the blade. Anti could press harder, slice through the thin skin of her throat. A distorted laugh echoes around them.

That laughter stops cold at the girl’s next words. A L O N E. He shudders, appearance distorting and glitching out. Take care of him? The demon growled. Now he was seriously considering sticking this knife straight through that throat. ❝ I’d latch on to some other poor, deranged soul, ❞ he hissed. ❝ Someone who isn’t always boohooing about blowing their family to smithereens. Into itty, bitty, bloodied, bite-sized pieces.  ❞

It was happening again. Why was it happening again? The walls were closing in around her. Nothing was real, not when the shadows began to move. Jinx backed up and screamed, grasping at the t h i n strands of reality she remained connected to. Please, please!

But Vi wouldn't come. No one would come, not when it was like this. Not when she was such a jin--

At the feeling of the blade pressed to her neck, Jinx relaxed. Memory swirled forth, threatening her with its unpredictable nature. It could coil around her like a snake or it could let her be, watching, waiting for its time to strike. This time it waited, intrigued by the newcomer. As was she, though Jinx already knew who it was.

He came to her when reality bent until she couldn't see it anymore. It must have been a hallucination, a trick of the mind attempting to bargain with her. She couldn't be lonely, could she, not when such company dared to step foot in her presence.

Was he a presence? The knife felt real but she allowed her head to fall back anyway, grinning when her head finally rested against his shoulder. ❝ Aww, you came back for me! That's so sweet, ❞ she crooned. Her purple gaze flicked up towards him, a smirk tugging at her lips.

❝ Are you finally gonna kill me? Would be a shame... You'd have no one to take care of you. Poor little Anti, all alone in the world. ❞ There was a glint in her eye even as she mocked him.

Danger was just what she lived for, at this point.

I don’t like talking with people about emotional stuff because then they learn things about me and get to know me and can defeat me.

Red, green, blue. Red, green, blue. The haphazard colours reflected chaotically in the whites of Mireya’s distant eyes, her gaze only shifting to take Anti in after his manic laughter broke the silence of the room. Whatever he’d said to her had gone in one of the ‘doll’s’ ears and out of the other.

All of a sudden, Mireya giggled with him, though the gesture was soft and hollow. The smile that lingered bore an undercurrent of pain. She looked down into her lap, a bloodied knife dormant on the ruined fabric. Even the knife itself was damaged, as if someone had taken a good chunk out of the sharp metal.

“I killed him.” She said. Where the knife had come from was a mystery. It could have been one of Anti’s that had been carelessly left somewhere, or it might have belonged to the victim that was now scattered into puzzle pieces all around the dark room. “I killed him with this knife. Now I’m almost like you.”

The demon is giggling to himself, continuing his mindless doodling in the blood. His gaze flickers between the blood, the  s c a t t e r e d  pieces of the corpse and his doll. So many interesting things to view in this moment. Where to look, where to look?

A quiet giggle joins his own, and Anti snaps his eyes towards Mireya. A wicked grin now on his lips. 

❝Yͣͬͣ̀͌óu͑ ̷̈͂ͥ͋̃̿̽did,❞ he hums. ❝You killed him good and dead! And made such a p̶ret̸t͠y͡ me̕ss̸.❞ Anti glitches out, disappearing and reappearing around the room, taking in the gore of the butchered body. (Impressive) The weapon, a spare knife belonging to Anti, did it’s job. Although it seemed to take some unfortunate damage in the process, it would be rather useless now.

Almost like Anti? Oh, sweet little doll. No one is like Anti.

❝Nah, if you were anything like me you’d be laughing right now,❞ the demon points out, almost scoffing. ❝You would be celebrating! You would be ecstatic and exploding!❞ As if to show an example Anti himself glitches wildly, bursts of static and color where he stands.

Death didn’t affect Jinx much, not anymore. The scene, while bloody, merely caused her to look down at the mangled corpse. Anti had really done a number on them. This wasn’t just self-defense, if he had even defended himself. It was straight up murder, for fun. Her head really did enjoy playing with her.

❝ I didn’t get to see, but woah! What’d this poor sap ever do to you? ❞ Jinx crouched down, not thinking much of it. Not until she saw BROWN HAIR, EMPTY EYES, ANGLED FACE, GNASHING TEETH, WHITE E–

She fell back into the blood, g a s p i n g for breath at the thought of it somehow being Mylo. ❝ Wh- ❞ Jinx took a moment to catch her breath. ❝ Who was that? Some creep? ❞ Her voice was breathless even when she attempted to make it seem like it hadn’t affected her.

Anti scoffed, waving the knife dismissively in the direction of the body. A shame, he did enjoy an audience. Not many got to see him perform and actually live to see the end results of his masterpieces. He watches Jinx curiously, wanting to see her reactions. wanting to see her fear

❝ He did nothin’ but be in the right place at the right time,❞ the demon answered with a shrug. Whoever that corpse had been didn’t mean anything to Anti, the poor sap hadn’t done anything wrong per say. Just happened upon Anti during a moment of bloodlust. ( could happen to anyone, really ) What mattered now was the mangled, sliced up, bleeding mess that Anti was rather proud of.

Confusion flashed across his features, only for a moment, quickly replaced by annoyance. Jinx’s reaction was belated, caused by something she saw on her own ( in her own fragile mind ) and not by Anti’s work. His appearance glitched out, static dancing around him. He may enjoy other’s fear and distress, but he much preferred when he and he  a l o n e  was the cause. ❝Nobody,❞ he said through gritted teeth. ❝ N͖̰̬o͍̤̜͔̻͙͖͚b͈͇̩̲͈̼͓̀͢o̗͙̯d͙̺y̵̬̲̦̗͞N̷̨͎̟̺̝̯͍͔o̯͇̻͍͇͕͚͘b̥̼̘͕͝o̭̟͈̞͇̳͘d̴̛͕̞̩͡y̗̙̟͓̬̕N̬ͅo̵̤̻͉͖͓͖̫̼b͉̱̖͈͠ơ̶͖̣̲͞ͅͅd͇̺͕y҉̶̥̻̞̺̦̙͉.
