A/N: I kind of got this idea from watching Gilmore Girls and Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. It won’t be very obvious how it fits in at first, but I promise that if you’ve watched the show, you’ll catch the part(s) that were inspiration. Also, I def use my own experiences in this. Choi San was forced to move to the city with his father after his parents split up while he as a young child. All new city, all new school, all new friends - it was difficult on the boy, though he was able to make it through with the help of Jung Wooyoung, Park Seonghwa, and Kim Hongjoong. 

Now, as a senior in high school preparing to graduate, his parents have decided to have him move in with his mother and, subsequently, move back to the small beach town he grew up in. He finds it strange when he has to relearn the layout of the town, as well as having to relearn everything about former friends, who have all changed: Choi Jongho, Song Mingi, Kang Yeosang, and Jeong Yunho. And while San remembers the entirety of his childhood in the small town, he doesn’t remember you - someone that Yunho is very protective of.

As San’s forced to navigate the messy return to his roots - including ensuring that his friends from both parts of his life get along and attempting to define his strange relationship with you - he learns that, as long as you all stay together, he’ll be able to jump over the rough waves.

zhongli lets out a satisfied sigh, chuckling when his gaze eyes the slight shift of your hips in your seat.

“calling me that’s getting you more worked up than me.” he comments thoughtfully, kneeling in front of you. “you really need help with the worksheet? bullshit. you’re my top student, darling. i don’t see why you’re just so stubborn today.” he drawls out his words, a cautious hand resting on your thigh, thumb rubbing your soft skin.
