y’all are gonna vote Kamala now that she’s called for a ceasefire and has condemned Israel’s actions, right? you’re going to vote for her because she’s said she hears the calls for a ceasefire, right? or will you find another excuse to now do your civic duty for this country that directly affects you and everyone around you. i am begging you to please vote in this election because we are literally between a man who has been charged with 34 felony counts, had more on the table, and wants to become a dictator if hes elected on day one and a woman who is sane, rational, and competent at her job and supports everything this man is against. if you want Palestine to be free, you’re going to get off your ass and vote.

You obviously have nothing to fear from a Trump presidency, and you do not give a fuck if a ceasefire actually occurs. You are obviously fine if your queer, disabled, and marginalized loved ones are hurt. You clearly don't care about the status of American democracy, which Trump has openly stated he plans to destroy on day 1 he is in office.

When protesters marched in Washington after the killing of George Floyd, Donald Trump asked General Milley why the troops couldn’t just shoot them, suggesting maybe just “in the leg.”

Milley replied that he could not, because that would be illegal.

The Supreme Court has now ruled that it no longer will be, at least certainly not for the President to order it. And he can pardon the general that carries it out, and fire the ones that refuse.

If that doesn’t scare you, then I guess you can keep talking about stupid things like taking Biden off the ballot. If it does, then maybe focus on making sure it doesn’t happen, pressuring for Supreme Court reform, and saving this fucking country.

Get out and vote, because if you don't, there won't be another election, Trump says so.

Given the extreme stakes of Project 2025 I need everyone to vote Democrat downballot. Everyone. Bring your friends to the ballot box, make a day of it. Have voting parties. Anything to get people energized.

I am dead serious though. If you know or love an lgbtq+ person, or if you care about continuing to have a choice or ability to push for change in this country, you need to vote Democrat downballot. The leftmost candidates must win as many races as possible. We have to completely smash the Republicans at the ballot box to get a chance at establishing ranked choice, to get abortion rights back, to keep Trump from getting more Justices, to secure the right to protest, and to protect and improve democracy.

The only way to move the overton window left where we want it is to keep voting left, persistently, consistently, doggedly.

Please vote. I know you’re depressed about it. I am too, but we have to vote.
