The TFA Decepticons are fucking vicious, actually.

Megatron only talks about freedom whenever he is manipulating or rallying the Decepticons. (Not to mention: Authorizing the use of chemical warfare, killing anyone who betrays him, etc…I could talk about his evil-doings all day).

Starscream creates sentient clones of himself to kill Megatron, (including hijacking the Lugnut Supremes as an attempt to literally destroy everything and everyone in Detroit, Megatron, most specifically).

Blackarachnia betrays a vulnerable bot (Wasp) into becoming an experiment for her own personal gain.

Shockwave traps and crushes his “fellow agent” (Blurr) into a box, sentencing him to a fate worse than death.

It’s implied that Blitzwing cannibalizes other Cybertronian parts. (Well, Random said it, so who knows with him?)

Lugnut’s P.O.K.E. (Punch of Kill Everything) can literally do exactly that.

And this is excluding their crimes in the AllSpark Almanac.

Yes, the TFA Cybertron Autobots are bad too, but let’s not forget that the Decepticons are Decepticons for a reason.

The sounds of the abandoned mine the Decepticons call home are muffled by the wall of their quarters.

They lay on their berth, fading into recharge after a long solar cycle, peacefully listening to their surroundings as their optics shut.

Until that peace is interrupted by their door sliding open and a shadow looming over their position.

“What..?” They groan, optics opening with a halfhearted tired glare at whoever entered their quarters at this time of night, meeting the optics of the triple changer, Blitzwing's blue face.

He stares at them, standing in their doorway, unmoving, watching them before his faceplates spin to the inky black face that always entails chaos.

“Wake up, I want to show you something!” He shakes their shoulder, trying to get them up.

“Blitzwing, it's three in the morning..” They grumble as they sit up, rubbing their optics of recharge.

“Yes but liquid is falling from the sky!” He grins at them, well, tries to grin considering his jack-o'-lantern like mouth.

“..what?” They squint at him, questioning if he's pulling their leg or not.

Instead of responding, Blitzwing drags them from their berth, pulling them out of their room much to their displeasure and grogginess. He drags them through the caves and halls of the abandoned mine, leading them outside with excitement.

“Look!” He hops a little in excitement as he pulls them to look outside the mouth of the mine.

Liquid was in fact falling from the clouds above, a serene silence filling the forest around them as no organic creatures make so much as a peep. The liquid falls onto their metal frames with a soft pitter-patter noise, it was strangely beautiful, it was calm for once in their many stellar cycles of living.

They watched the falling rain, enamored by it as Blitzwing stands by their side, his servo holding their servo still. The clicking and then spinning of faceplates breaks them out of their trance, looking up at him, meeting his red optics.

“Strangely beautiful, isn't it..” He spoke in a calm tone, voicing the same thing they thought of when seeing it for the first time, looking down at them as the rain water drips off their metal frames.

They nod, looking back up at the cloudy night sky, feeling his servo hold their own a little tighter as he also looks back up at the sky, both just enjoying the moment of peace that broke through the war that still rages on.

They'll just enjoy this small moment together, the peace and the calm of the rain, holding each other's servos as they watch the clouds far above them.
