More of that Orphaned podcast au lol
Dick: *after playfully bickering with Bruce and Jason about how he was adopted after Jay* Not to get too deep, but when did you consider me as a son?
Bruce: Well… it certainly wasn’t as fast as Jason, but that’s only because I more open to being a father- or having a kid, more so. Because, when I took you in *referring to Dick* I was only aware of the conventional sense of a father-son relationship. As in, you considered me a father and I consider you a son, and in doing so I would replace your biological father. That’s obviously not the case, but that was my understanding.
But I think it was… maybe a month or so you’ve been in the manor. You were having these awful nightmares, you weren’t sleeping at all. But one night you wake me up and you’re in tears. And I had no idea what to do. But you just looked so small and scared, so I just picked you up and hugged you.
And you just broke down more. I thought I messed up, but you were holding onto me like a lifeline. And then, whether I accepted it then or not, that’s the moment that I considered you my son. And I would do anything to protect you going forward.
Jason: For those who are just listening, Dick is fighting back tears right now.
Dick, his voice wet: It’s a fucking emotional story, okay? I see you eye’s welling up too!
Jason: BULLSHIT THESE ARE MY ALLERGIES ASSNIP!
Should I do more of these?

OK ITS BEEN LIKE FIVE MINUTES BUT. The guilt Bruce would feel and then ignore? Yeah, the never telling Tim he's proud of him? The lack of any communication because he couldn't keep a kid from taking up the mantle of a haunting mistake, and now is torn between constant mourning and the pride of his newest soldier learning? GODS. Ok I'm done.
What if Jason attacked Tim, not because he was jealous, not to send a message to Bruce, not because he felt like he was being replaced, but because he was horrified to see another kid in the suit? What if it was a warning, letting him know that this? This pain, this threat to his very being, this risk of death? That was all that was out there for him in this life, so go back to your cushy life and leave it alone before you get killed. (The "like I did" is left unsaid)
What if the reason Bruce pushed so hard against Tim at first was for the same reason? The fear of repeating his biggest mistake, the horror he felt as a child actively asked to be put in the suit because nothing but tragedy came to the boys before him.
I dunno, just feels a little fucked up and awful to me.
Sometimes you just go really little and wish that someone would give you a bubble bath and wash your hair for you and dry you off, and then you could have some warm tea and brush your teeth and go to bed while they sing a lullaby and give you your stuffies to snuggle with. And maybe you get a little kiss on the forehead and get told you're a good pup and everything is OK in the world
I am sooooo close to starting an only fans/joining p-hub, you have no idea. My calling may be being an online whore, I feel like it's least likely to ruin my joints...
one thing about me is i AM going to get angry and annoyed the SECOND i see anyone claim tim drake is an underrated character/robin/batfam member
that boy is one of the MOST loved character i have ever come across, he was hugely successful after jason and the first robin to get his own solo run
that is not an underrated character
now my son duke on the other hand
Ok so you know how back in the 2000s there were a few jokes about Cass's gender likely because male comic book writers thought it was funny she had muscles? I'm taking that and spinning it to villains genuinely being confused about what to refer to Cass as.
Goon 1: Cmon man she's obviously called Batgirl
Goon 2: Well last month I told him he wasn't Batman and all he said was "Try me."
Goon 1: Have you heard them speak?
Goon 2: Yep. Pure gravel. You really swear that's definitely a girl's voice?
Goon 1: Has anyone ever gotten a good luck at her?
Goon 2: At Batman's stealthier, faster shadow? Come on Doug.

Goon 1: Jerry you're not gonna believe this. The little Bat saved me from getting my brains blown out by Penguin.
Goon 2: Oh nice! Glad you're still-
Goon 1: I asked them what their pronouns were.
Goon 2:
Goon 1:... And they said "Bat"
Goon 2: Well that settles that then. Why are you still referring to bat as they? You want bat to beat you up next time bat sees you?

Cass: At first I was confused why villains I save keep complimenting me on my nonbinary swagger. But after Duke explained what that meant... I think I kind of like it. Babs am I... Nonbinary?
Babs, frantically tossing aside her prepared 10 point acceptance speech for when your daughter realises she's a lesbian and scouring her database in search of parenting guides for nonbinary adult children: Honey, you can be whatever you want to be
