100 Ways To Incorporate Magick In Your Daily Life.

100 ways to incorporate magick in your daily life.

I understand that these are not exactly all witchy but this is about intergreting your everyday life in your practice and appreciating as well as finding magick in the most mundane and simple things that we often miss out on. ♡

1. When you wake up, before grabbing your phone or getting out of bed, take a few seconds to breathe, and stretch all your limbs.

2. Say ‘’thank you’’ to your god/goddess/deity, or simply to acknowledge how lucky you are to live another day.

3. Open the window regardless of the weather and take a big breath of fresh air. This will not only cleanse the room but also your body.

4. If it’s raining outside or snowing, take a minute to admire the beauty of it.

5. Pick wildflowers (please don’t pick any endangered flowers or toxic ones, do your research).

6. Dry said wildflowers and put them in your Book of Shadows or any book or journal you are using.

7. Go for a walk in nature during the day and during the night as well.

8. Sunbathe.

9. Moonbathe.

10. Light lots of candles.

11. If your room needs a cleaning, try to make your own household products naturally using your favorite scents and clean your room with them.

12. Change your bed sheets and pillowcases.

13. If you have a clothing line, hang your clothes, blankets, sheets, comforters, pillowcases, underwear outside. Visualize the wind cleansing them.

14. Grow your own favorite herbs.

15. Buy a succulent.

16. Dry your herbs and save them for bath magick, spells, teas or rituals.

17. Sweep the floor and visualize yourself sweeping off all negativity out of the room.

18. Sprinkle sea salt over areas that you feel have a negative energy to purify them.

19. Make your own purifying/cleansing spray.

20. Take a hot, soothing bath. I am a sea witch so I find this particularly helpful when I miss the ocean/the beach. (Don’t forget to add herbs, essential oils, sea salt, flowers, crystals, or anything that has magickal properties for a magickal bath)

21. Sip a cup of your favorite herbal tea.

22. For kitchen witches, try brewing your own tea, and cooking meals with intention and magickal ingredients.

23. Make charm bags.

24. Water your herb garden by hand.

25. Show the people you love that you love them.

26. Show some love to your pets and spend a few extra minutes with them.

27. Light up your favorite incense.

28. Keep a small bag of your favorite herb (for example: lavender) in a drawer, so when you feel stressed, just pop the bag open for a deep breath of calming aromatherapy.

29. When you take a shower, visualize the water neutralizing your energy and washing off all the bad stuff.

30. Bless your morning coffee or tea.

31. Keep a daily journal, whether it’s a Book of Shadows, a daily planner/organizer or a dream journal.

32. If you wanna be low-key and discrete about your craft, draw small sigils all over everything. Your school notebooks, pencil cases, journals, shoes, etc.

33. Read lots of books about magick and form your own opinion/path/views/beliefs.

34. If you read fictional stories, allow yourself to get lost in them and let your mind wander and escape.

35. Put on your favorite clothes, makeup, shoes, or whatever little thing that makes you feel fabulous, even if you’re staying in.

36. Be proud of your body.

39. Go to the beach

40. Go to the forest.

41. Go to the desert.

đŸŒ» Midsummer, or summer solstice

đŸŒ» Art By: Lanajay_Art on instagram https://www.instagram.com/lanajay_art/

________________________________________________________________

🌞 When Is Litha?

đŸŒ» Northern Hemisphere:

20-24 June

It is typically celebrated on the longest day and the shortest night of the year

đŸŒ»Â Southern Hemisphere:

20-24 December

________________________________________________________________

🌞What Is Litha?

đŸŒ»Â Litha is the celebration of the longest day and the shortest night of the year. The sun god is thriving and at his most vibrant peak, giving warmth to the earth and growth all around. We are celebrating the potential and successes that surround us. From now on the days will begin to become shorter again and darkness will begin to take over. The summer and warmth are still sticking around for a while, though, and it is still a very happy occasion. We are celebrating the pregnancy of the Triple Goddess with the Horned God. The Oak King is currently ruling the waxing half of the year while the Holly King is ruling the waning half of the year. The Holly King and the Oak King are battling with each other and the Holly King will eventually overrule the Oak King. Litha is a time for important magick and major spell work that needs to be put into action; It’s the best time to complete any huge magickal workings that need tackling. Before the darker days return, we must celebrate.

________________________________________________________________

🌞How To Celebrate It

đŸŒ»Â Litha comes at such a positive time of year and your celebrations will reflect this.

________________________________________________________________

🌞Activities

đŸŒ» Tackle the most challenging and most anticipated spells and rituals at midsummer, the ones that require the most energy from you; what better time to do it than when the world’s energies are at their peak! It’s the best time of the year for rituals to do with fire, faery magick, love, passion, energy and luck for the warmer times to come.

đŸŒ» It’s also a good time to renew any tools or create or purchase any extra magickal tools you may require.

đŸŒ»Throw a midsummer bonfire or have a fire ritual. Or organize an outside gathering to simply enjoy the sun! There are loads of different ways that you can do this, a traditional midsummer bonfire would (obviously) be outside, although if this is not an option, a wood burner inside would also be fine. Burn pieces of old oak, light them on the evening before midsummer, then let them burn out as they reach the morning. It is also common to scatter herbs on the fire. Some Wiccans also burn the nine sacred types of wood (birch, rowan, ash, alder, willow, hawthorn, oak, holly and hazel) to bring them good luck and a good harvest. During the midsummer bonfire they would jump over the fire, then let the fire burn down completely and sometimes collect ashes from the fire and scatter them on the fields or on their herb garden to bring good fortune in the harvesting season coming in the near future. You could also keep some ashes for luck within spell work or rituals.

đŸŒ» Create a god’s eye: it is typically made from wool or string and its purpose is to give protection and luck for the darker and colder days to come. Hang the god’s eye above your altar or on your door.

đŸŒ»Â Go for a walk and enjoy the peak of summer! Collect things from the natural world that you need for magickal workings and to place at your altar. Have a picnic or barbecue or even just go to the beach or go for a bike ride.

đŸŒ»Â If you work with the fae or just like to appreciate them, midsummer is the time for the faery rede. At this time, the fae will be riding magickal animals across the countryside, so hang out, either outside your house or in a nearby field, Bells and offerings such as sparkly decorations and food can be used to create the perfect area for the fae.

________________________________________________________________

🌞Altar Ideas

đŸŒ»Â Light green, yellow, gold and red candles to represent the sun god at his peak and the green earth at its fullest.

đŸŒ»Â Decorate your altar with summer flowers such as sunflowers, carnations, poppies and hydrangeas.

đŸŒ»Â Place a ring of flowers around your altar or around specific items for protection.

đŸŒ»Â Pictures of the sun or ornaments symbolizing the sun honour the sun god being at his peak.

đŸŒ»Â Oak leaves represent the Oak King, who has been ruling for this hald of the year, but will be laid to rest soon. Oak in different forms can be relevant to Litha.

đŸŒ»Â Gold, yellow and orange ribbons and cloth can be draped at your altar.

________________________________________________________________

🌞Food And Drink

đŸŒ» Warm-colored vegetables such as butternut squash, sweet potatoes, carrots and tomatoes are all great to eat around this time of the year. They represent warmth and the wonderful produce we receive from the summer.

đŸŒ» Home-grown or locally produced leafy green vegetables

đŸŒ» Spicy foods

đŸŒ» Curries

đŸŒ» Spiced cakes

đŸŒ» Spiced punch and rum

đŸŒ» Anything with honey or as an alternative golden or maple syrup- bees are another representation of Litha, the midsummer full moon is acutally also known as the honey moon!

đŸŒ» Barbecued food or flame-grilled food is good to eat too; once again it represents the heat and the sun’s energy.

đŸŒ» Ice cream- not only is it cooling in the summer months, it also represents the colder days to come.

________________________________________________________________

🌞Crystals

đŸŒ» Relevant crystals to carry around with you this time of the year, to meditate with, to use in divination and spell work, and to place at your altar are:

Emerald

Sunstone

Citrine

Yellow Tourmaline

Yellow Topaz

Calcite

________________________________________________________________

🌞HERBS

đŸŒ»Â Seasonal fresh herbs are great of Litha, as is anything that represents heat, flavour and greenery and ties in with Litha’s celebrations.

Mint

Basil

Rosemary

Sage

Honeysuckle

Carnation

Paprika

________________________________________________________________

🌞INCENSE

đŸŒ»Â Good incense to use during casting circles and burning at your altar around Litha time and for cleansing and consecrating, as well as for magickal workings, are:

Lavender

Citrus scents, such as orange and lemon

Musk

Pine

Rose

Summer Flowers

Help

I really want to read 91 Whiskey, but I’m a little bitch who read Twist & Shout over Christmas break and I’m scarred. Can someone please tell me to not be scared. I don’t care what you have to spoil. I’ve just seen that it’s really good, but I don’t think my mental heath can handle a really hard blow like that

How do i contact/start a conversation with Aphrodite? Im interested in becoming a devotee to her.💕💕

Hello lovely! Sorry for answering late. <3

How to contact and introduce yourself to Aphrodite (this is based off of personal experience!):

First off, set up some candles in an area (preferably red, pink, or white) and get an offering ready for her. (can be seashells, jewelry, chocolate, incense,or anything that you relate to love)

Now, cast a circle and light the candles.

You may meditate if you wish (which is what i did!), but this is not needed.

In your own words, invoke Aphrodite and welcome her to the circle. Once that is done, Introduce yourself to her and tell her a bit about yourself. Tell her about your likes and dislikes, what your favorite foods are, etc. Give her the offering, and let yourself feel her energy around you. You may do extra devotional acts after doing this like taking a warm rose bath or doing research on Aphrodite. Now is the time that I waited for any signs that she excepted me to be her worshiper/devotee! Signs that I got were doves flying over me, seeing pictures of her in public, finding rose bushes at parks, cravings for honey or apples, being stung by a bee (Hehe, I know that may sound weird but I got stung by a bee! I’m not sure if this is a coincidence or if it was Aphrodite trying to get my attention.), and a sudden longing to go to the beach more often.

There are lots of other posts for devotional acts and connecting with Aphrodite/starting your relationship with her! I wish you luck, angel! May the beauty of Aphrodite be amongst you, my honeybee.<3

Samhain🍂🎃

Samhain🍂🎃

It feels like just yesterday I was writing my post on Mabon, but Samhain is almost here already! I’ve been having a pretty tough time lately, with quite a lot going on that started around Mabon. I’m excited for Samhain, for new beginnings.

Here is a compilation of info on Samhain from my Book of Shadows!

🍂Date: October 31st, the same day as Halloween! This is the halfway point between the Autumn equinox and the Winter solstice.

🍂Basics: The veil between the spirit world and the physical world is the thinnest on Samhain. In the traditional Wiccan religion, the Goddess is going to the land of the dead, where she will be with the dying God. The dying God represents the Earth during the autumn season, beginning to die off in preparation for the winter. She opens the door to the world of the dead, which is why the veil is the thinnest during this time. Samhain is the third and final harvest festival, signaling the end of the lighter part of the year.

🍂Reflect on: With the thinning of the veil, this is the best time of the year to reflect on ancestry and those who came before you. Give thanks for the sacrifices of your ancestors, and the witches that came before you. The Wheel of the Year is coming to an end. Reflect on the past year and all of the good and bad that has come with it, knowing even the bad parts are important to your growth in the end.

🍂Corresponding herbs and foods: Rosemary for healing, good health, and help with memory. Sage for purification, spirituality, and cleansing. Mugwort for divination and spirit work, insight, and ancestral connection. Apples for protection. If you cut an apple in half, you’ll see 5 seeds symbolizing the protective pentacle. Pumpkins are also used for protection, carve faces into them and place them in front of your house to ward off evil spirits.

🍂What to do:

Visit a graveyard. Honor ancestors, even if they’re not directly related to you. Clean up unattended graves and talk to the people resting there! Leave small offerings to show your appreciation for the people that came before you.

Samhain is the best time for divination, making this a great time for tarot, runes, scrying, and more.

Spend time outside, observe the beauty of the fallen leaves and enjoy the harvest season before it passes!

Celebrate life! Trick or treat with your family, go to a party, enjoy being alive. Honor the dead by living your life to the fullest!

🍂What I’m doing: I don’t really know my plans yet, but I will be spending lots of time with friends and family! I’ll be doing a Samhain ritual for sure, giving thanks for the year and honoring ancestors. Since Samhain falls on Halloween, I’ll be celebrating that as well! I’ll dress up and probably go to a Halloween party. I’ll be celebrating Samhain throughout the week it falls in, just to make sure I can do everything I want to! I’ll definitely visit a graveyard and do lots of divination and spirit work!

Thank you so much for reading! Have a blessed Samhain and October!

Deity Work: Respect vs. Honor vs. Devotion

When deciding to add a religious component into your practice, there’s a lot of factors to consider.

What practices are closed to me?

What kind of relationship do I want to build with the Divine?

How do I practice a religion that most believe to be long gone?

Have I dealt with any negative experiences/beliefs/mindsets that may be hard to let go of from my old religious practices?

While all of these are important, I want to focus on a simple but crucial distinction within deity work- what it means to respect or honor a deity compared to devotion to a deity.

Respect:

Respecting a deity is basically extending common courtesy towards Divine entities that you are not directly involved with. Speaking of them with respect and engaging in discussion of theological differences without deliberate contempt or ridicule.

Why? Well, for one, I think it’s a good idea not to antagonize a being I can’t even comprehend, even if I don’t believe in them. But primarily, it’s an extension of my respect towards those of different faiths. It’s important to note that respecting a deity doesn’t mean respecting people or organizations who use their faith as justification to harm others. It doesn’t mean agreeing or supporting every aspect of a religion’s theology.

My common courtesy does not extend to religious leaders within the Catholic church that have refused to apologize or take responsibility for the decades of abuse of Indigenous children.

If you live in the U.S. or Canada- go to this website and learn what Native land you’re living on. If you can, make a donation to a local or national Indigenous organization to start making a dent in these injustices.

Respect is simply having good manners. It’s how we want others to treat our deities, symbols, and traditions.

Honor:

Honoring a deity is when you believe in a deity, you engage in practices with/for/associated with them but you do not have a personal commitment to a relationship with them.

For example, I honor all of the deities of the Hellenic pantheon. I might make offerings on days of significance or participate in specific festivals but I don’t have a dedicated altar space or have a committed practice of worship. And I also don’t honor all of the Hellenic deities in the same way or with the same frequency. I honor Artemis and Dionysus more than others because of personal connection.

I think it’s important for polytheistic pagans not to feel pressured into honoring every single deity within that pantheon. Setting aside the 12 Olympians, there are dozens of deities within the Hellenic pantheon. Learning and feeling confident enough to work with 1 deity is already challenging, so please be kind to yourself.

Devotion:

Devotion is making the commitment to a personal relationship with a deity. It takes a lot of time and emotional energy to devote yourself to a deity, lots of learning and understanding of them and their traditions.

There’s no framework for how to devote yourself or if you should become devoted to a deity. It’s a very personal journey and it’s impossible for anyone to tell you exactly what to do if you’re interested in a deity. I can offer advice about my experience with Apollo, but your experience with Him will be completely unique to you.

Devotion to a deity as a practice also looks very different. I have a dedicated altar, I pray, I make offerings and celebrate festivals. But if your relationship with a deity doesn’t include any of that? That is okay. Especially if you’re a solitary practitioner and learning on your own- the Divine are patient and understanding. We’re human and I really believe that the Divine prefer you at your most genuine rather than perfection. Especially if that fear of not being “good enough” is what’s keeping you from establishing that relationship in the first place.

Deity Work: Respect Vs. Honor Vs. Devotion

I hope that helps clarify the differences. You can always send a message or an ask with questions on deity work or other witchy topics. Just know that with deity work in particular, it’s hard to get specific answers because of how personal that journey is.

How do you perform deity work? What’s something you love about your particular path or pantheon?

Creativity and luck jar

So I got really upset with my art skills and concentration so I decided to boost it.

You’ll need : - basil : dispel confusion, stress and weaknesses - chamomile : reduce stress - nutmeg : luck - cinnamon : extra boost - lavender : peace of mind - ginger : draws adventures and new experiences - mint : promotes energy and vitality - sage : mental ability - thyme : attracts the good opinion of others - Rosemary : memory - yellow painted jar : creativity, imagination and confidence - creativity and/or luck sigil

Fill the jar with all the listed herbs you have. Cast your circle, place in four corner the representations of the elements (bowl of water, salt, incense, candle). Take the jar and sprinkle it or pass it through each of the elements while asking them to assist you in your creativity and luck quest. Visualise your life with the wanted qualities. Thank the elements. Close your circle. Tidy and cleanse your space.

Ps. Please tell me if you try it, I would love to know your experiences!
