A simple (yet effective) spell taught to me by a witch in Salem, Massachusetts.
Required:
• a penny
Procedure:
1) Hold the penny firmly in your left hand.
2) Make a wish, and visualize it coming true.
3) Chant three times: “Penny, penny in my hand, Bring to me my heart’s demand.”
4) Transfer the penny to your right hand, and kiss it.
4) Toss the penny over your left shoulder.
The simplicity of this spell makes it ready to cast just about anywhere at any time. You’d be surprised how effective it is and how many times it’s saved my butt.

Creativity Spell Jar
I have been feeling very uncreative and haven’t been too productive in my music lately, so I made a creativity spell jar to help me get back into the flow of writing and playing!
Paprika- for energy
Bay leaf- for success and strength
Sage- for mental and emotional health
Rosemary- for clear thinking and creativity
Basil- for confidence and creativity
Citrine- for creativity
Amethyst- for creativity
Clear quartz- for a clear mind
Yellow candle to seal- for creativity
I put violin bow hair and a guitar pick in there so that I had it more focused and personalized on what I want
I don’t chant or come up with things to say before hand, I tend to just tell each ingredient what it’s purpose is. Also while creating the spell jar I visualize what I want this spell jar to help me do. I picture myself playing the violin or guitar, writing music, singing; and keep that image going until I’ve finished making the spell jar.
Emoji spell to keep your loved ones safe.

It’s Cas and Dean’s first Christmas together in their new house. The decorations are hung, the cookies are made, and Dean can’t wait to spend the holiday season with Cas. But when he starts coming home late from work, Dean worries that Cas might be keeping something from him.

Ok so you’re a witch, yes? And you want an altar, but can’t make one because you’re trapped in the broom closet, yeeees?
Well, how about making a simple, non-expensive hidden/travel altar?
A shoe box, a pencil case (preferably a hard plastic, non-transparent one), or an eyeglass case (they don’t work as well as pencil cases, but they’ll do)
Some notecards
A pencil
Colorful markers/crayons/colored pencils
stuff to put in your altar
If you worship a deity, take a notecard and write down their name and/or a sigil you associate with them. Alternatively, you can print off a picture of them instead. If you like, you can tape/glue the notecard/photo to the roof of the case.
If you want a pentacle, take another notecard and draw one there.
Things to put into your new travel altar might include…
Sigils drawn on notecards (You can cut the cards smaller if needed)
An unsharpened pencil (for a wand)
A feather (Air)
A rock/stone (Earth)
A seashell (Water)
Small candles/tea lights/birthday candles (Fire)
Quartz.
A small bottle/vial/jar/container/plastic bag of salt
Crystals/gems you like
Herbs/Flowers/Plants you like/use
Spells/Curses you like/use written onto notecards
Any things that you associate with your craft
Things you associate with your deity/tributes to them
A small offering bowl/plate
A mini tarot deck/deck of playing cards
Runes
A tiiiiny bell
A small glass/chalice
A mini cauldron
A mini broom
Other misc. Witchy stuff
A. Please don’t!
This is not black magic and there is no need to abuse poor little newts. This is simply ancient witch code for Mustard seeds.
Back in the middle ages most witches made their livings selling healing products that actually worked. To prevent non-witches from discovering their secrets they developed a code for their Grimoires that would prevent people from learning what was really being used. It also added an air of mystery. Ask yourself what sounds more witchy.
“What’s this ointment made from”
“Crows Feet collected under a full moon my dear”
Or
“It’s Geranium”
William Shakespeare immortalised the code in his plays and our potions contents are now the stuff of legends. If you wish to bring back this tradition or are simply trying to unravel an old spell hit more for a good list and their true meanings. Why not buy a UV pen and make your own list in the back of your book, adding in some more modern herbs and flowers.
