Yuna Itoh, A Californian Parapsychology Student With A Lifelong Fascination Of The Supernatural, Has

Yuna Itoh, a Californian parapsychology student with a lifelong fascination of the supernatural, has found herself dealing with a crisis of faith. The countless personal investigations she has undertaken into haunts and horrors have always turned up empty, revealed to be nothing more then mistakes or fakery. Coupled with a lifetime of scepticism and even insults from her peers, she finds her belief waning, unable to shake the thought that the course of her life thus far has been a mistake. It’s in this bout of existential ennui that Yuna learns of- and becomes fixated with- a supposedly haunted estate in England that once belonged to the wealthy and prestigious Barnbellow family. As the rest of the country suffered during the Second World War, the Barnbellows continued to live comfortably and indulgently, with nary a care in the world. This peaceful ignorance was shattered entirely with the kidnapping and subsequent murder of the youngest child, Edward Barnbellow, a tragedy that wounded the clan and the local community alike, but none more so then the family matriarch Jennifer Barnbellow. For weeks on end she wailed in agony, crippled by despair with no attempts at aid soothing her. Even so, none could have foreseen how the story would end: an empty house full of corpses, blood streaked across the walls, and Jennifer having spirited away, never to be seen again. Tales speak of her spirit wandering the estate, wailing and crying for her beloved son. With the deadline for an important case study and accompanying thesis looming, Yuna comes to a decision; she decides to travel to England and visit the Barnbellow’s former home in person, ostensibly for her studies. However, deep down, she sees this as something of a moment of truth; one final test to determine whether or not forces beyond our understanding do exist. Yuna is going to get her answer, and it will change her world forever. Gonkaka is proud to present this promotional single for Nincom’s upcoming survival horror title Barnbellow’s Estate, due to be released October 2nd XX99. It is one of several intense themes intended to score moments when Yuna engages with nightmarish creatures she cannot beat and must instead escape.

Oh Man This Artist Conceived Of A Pokemon-like Interpretation Of Ghostbusters And That Is Pretty Much

Oh man this artist conceived of a pokemon-like interpretation of Ghostbusters and that is pretty much all I want in a franchise.

I recognize every single ghost he’s adapted from the toys and cartoons. In fact, a lot of my favorites are represented and they’re favorites you can see in maybe one frame of one scene of the 80′s show. I wonder if he reads my website.

The four heroines are a little proportionately homogeneous, but

Epdur - Trailer of a Game that doesn’t exist

This new RPG is about the dream of a knight in a fantasy Renaissance world, in which everyone is masked. He wants to become the greatest hero of all time! ...But is it really worth it?...

In this brand new game, you play as Epdur, the owner of a strange power that makes him able to see spirits and talk to animals. During turn-based battles, he can use the Nima Vision to precisely target some part of the enemy to discover its weak spot. But beware! When an enemy is attacking you, a quick mini-game appears, so you have to be on your toes!

Now go forth! And don’t look behind you, or you’ll be ensnared by the horrific memories of the past, which still haunt you deep in your dreams…

I made this trailer for my first year in video game art. Indeed, this game doesn’t really exist! It was a project to learn pixel art! It was simply amazing to make it and I’ve really improved thanks to it. It's inspired by Renaissance and Medieval History, and by the depths of forgotten French folklore monsters and legends.

Let's talk about Mario Nights, what was once just a blurb in an unassuming Creepypasta, brought to life in an obscure analog horror video, as we talk about everything that fascinates me about it, and everything about it that disappoints me to no end.

Learned about this video through @transistor-rhythm-909, who pointed out that this very blog gets briefly featured in the intro!

A few of these I can elaborate on:

Astro Robin Hood is an obscure JRPG with a "Robin Hood IN SPACE" theme. Like many RPGs of the era, it's mostly a Dragon Quest clone, but you can a build a party of out several available Merry Men.

Star Trek - The Atlantis Bone is a Japan-exclusive Star Trek game, framed as if it were an episode of the Original Series. Some claim the story comes from an unfilmed TV script for the show, but this has never been confirmed. Japanese fans say it represents the show better than many of the other Star Trek games of the era.

Insection - The Arcade Game is based on a bug-themed space shooter made by an obscure European dev. Oddly, the actual arcade game was never finished or released, as the games were developed concurrently and the arcade version was canceled due to financial issues.

Metal Fighter Blaseball - An oddly misspelled baseball game with a sci-fi theme, similar to Base Wars. Some cute sprites based on tokusatsu characters and aliens, but otherwise a pretty standard baseball game for the era.

Nigel Mansell’s Font Fighting - Japan-exclusive "action education game" meant to teach kids English and to improve handwriting. Borderline unplayable. No is sure who Nigel Mansell is. EDIT: While some assume the title refers to the race car driver Nigel Mansell, the game doesn’t feature driving a tall, nor does it have Mansell’s likeness, so your guess is as a good as anyone’s.

Fourteen obscure NES/Famicom ROMs that were never released in North America, according to a neural network:

Power Punker (Europe)

Business Gaiden (Japan)

Astro Robin Hood (Japan)

Entity Rad (Europe)

World Championship Shting (Japan)

Star Trek - The Atlantis Bone (Japan)

Insection - The Arcade Game (Europe)

Captain Player Earth (Japan)

Magic Dark Star Hen (Japan)

Murde - The Fingler’s Quest (Europe)

Metal Fighter Blaseball (Japan) (Rev A)

Smurf the Edify (Japan)

Skate or Space Dive Bashboles (Europe)

Chack'van, Ultimate Game of Power Blam (Japan)

Nigel Mansell’s Font Fighting (Japan)
