i’ve been doing my homework on how to break into a writing career and honestly. there’s a Lot that i didn’t know about thats critical to a writing career in this day and age, and on the one hand, its understandable because we’re experiencing a massive cultural shift, but on the other hand, writers who do not have formal training in school or don’t have the connections to learn more via social osmosis end up extremely out of loop and working at a disadvantage.

Me: Today Im gonna spend all day writing!
My inspiration:
I made a line sheet for those that have a hard time with pen control. Just import it as a layer and create a new layer to practice tracing the lines.
Once you improve, you can color-select the blue lines and delete them so you just have the dots. Then try to redraw the blue lines as best you can. When you’re drawing it’s more like you’re connecting two points with a line so I like doing it that way better.

Do this four times repeatedly and you’ll be out. But how does it work? There’s some real brain science behind it.
Hi. Only leaving likes on people’s artwork and writing doesnt do jack shit to help the artist because:
1.) To gather an audience we need reblogs
2.) To gain feedback we need to improve our art we need an audience
3.) To get commissions we need an audience who will reblog and promote our work

Art on Tumblr RELIES on REBLOGS

“But Rider!!!” You say. “Im liking it to reblog it later!!! uwu”
1.) Learn how to use the queue system because
2.) You are not going to go back into your likes later and reblog it. You aren’t. You say you are, but you never will. And
3.) People do not normally leave their likes visible, and even if people do, the only people activly looking through them are people trying to find dirt.
“But Rider!!!” You say again “My blog ~has a theme uwu~ I can’t reblog art!!! It will mess my theme up!!! uwu!!!!”
