just a random reminder: when y’all are calling out the sexist culture that has doctors refusing to give women hysterectomies or oophorectomies unless theyre over 35, have already had children, AND have the express “permission” of their [male] partners, please please PLEASE remember how specific these issues can be to cis white women, and how differently the medical field treats woc and trans people. forced sterilization is STILL an ongoing issue for non-white women and trans individuals so please keep them in mind when you’re calling out sexism in medicine
