Ocean beaches

Don’t look for whatever just touched your foot. Don’t dive down to find it. That’s the chance it’s waiting for.

Leave no trace of yourself at the beach. She covers your footprints for a reason.

Do not leave abandoned sand castles. They were not built by children. The animals passing between worlds will not forgive you for the obstructions in their path.

Never move a rock bigger than your hand. Gently shift, but always place exactly as you found it. The creatures underneath know where they belong, and they can find where you belong, too.

this has been on my mind for months. finally got around to making it.

I hate the like…. cutesy plasticization of animated movie monsters. Many of the dragons in How to Train Your Dragon were a little too simplified and smooth to suit the surrounding animation style but it worked well enough. It definitely did not work in The Sea Beast, which was otherwise cute—every single monster was distractingly flat and oversimplified that particular “CGI designed to become plastic toys” way that I really don’t think matched the richness of every other texture in the movie.

Amir and his family have been displaced 7 times since this war began, and are under threat of being displaced again. Two days ago Israeli planes dropped leaflets over their camp saying they would be bombing the area. It is already incredibly difficult to live in these conditions even without the threat of being bombed.
