What the innies know and don’t know about the world is still so fascinating to me
I would take a whole season with no drama, just MDR discussing what they think the outside is like and what they know exists and why they know it exists
Why does Helly know “the equator” but Mark doesn’t, why does she know the name but not what it is, if they put their minds together could they piece together a picture of the world they’ve never seen or properly learned about
What makes it so they remember no personal details but remember things like language and how to operate computers and furniture and names of foods and concepts like sex and love and practical knowledge like how to tie a noose and also random geographical terms with no context
Helly says she’s been trying to think of place names does that means they can concentrate their way into knowing more
If you’ve been there for a long time do you know more because you’ve had more time to think of things
Not remember them but think of them because it’s not knowledge you had and recalled it’s knowledge you didn’t have before but then you have it from nowhere and now you know it and isn’t that fucking fascinating
If I ever write severance fanfiction it will be so insufferable and un fucking readable I swear
i love you fucked up fish
Fixed a wasp meme :)
wasp haters will cry and cry about how you "can't exist anywhere near a wasp" and how "they're aggressive" as if i didn't get right up in this Polistes dominula's face to get a good look at its little severed antenna with no trouble whatsoever. they could technically also cry about how it's "clearly a male anyway due to its yellow mandibles, relatively pale eyes and curly antennae" and "therefore harmless due to lacking the modified ovipositor that constitutes the stinger" but they refuse to learn anything about the things they hate, so they won't

also in the vein of the creators clearly having a respect for life in general i rlly appreciated the lack of Unnecessary Bug Violence in scavengers reign (or just unnecessary creature violence in general). every time i see a little guy just doing it’s thing, especially from a certain angle, i assume we’re about to see it get stepped on or otherwise squished for no reason. thats generally how it is with bug-like things in most media. but in scavengers reign the characters are always stepping around them, moving them out of the way, just observing and even interacting with them just out of curiosity. sam watching the bugs under the tree especially got me. sure they kill the occasional creature out of necessity, but the ONLY time i recall a character killing something just because it was there was kris smashing the little bug in the desert, which felt SO jarring after seeing everyone else just let the little guys exist neutrally around them, and it was coming from the one actual human bad guy.
