Can we have a modern au of Mulan but with no war? Mulan is just a genderfluid person, but assigned female at birth, trying to survive their new internship at company/gym/security business when they develop a crush on Shang, who’s father owns the business. But Shang has only ever seen Mulan on masculine or Non binary days ad therefore gender shenanigans still occur. Love In The Air is so fantastically unhinged. The lighting would put a renaissance artist to shame but the sound was recorded on a tin can. One of the main characters kind of works for the mafia but the central conflict is whether the other one has time to do his uni coursework. It's about illegal street racers who are also architects by day? And they chose to spend more time on the architecture part? Fuckin exquisite. I am obsessed.
