Summary: You call Todoroki to ask him out on a date and it completely catches him off guard! He doesn’t know what to think of your feelings but luckily his friends are there to give him some encouragement.

Todoroki fished his phone out from his pocket when he felt it vibrating. He didn’t usually get calls this late unless it was from his father, so he was surprised to see it was you who was calling him. Was something wrong? You had never called him before.

Excusing himself from the table, he stepped a few feet away, ignoring the questions and stares from his friends. Surely you had to be calling for a reason. He hasn’t known you for very long, but you didn’t seem like the type of person to call for no reason.

He pressed the green answer button.

“Hello?”

“Ah Todoroki? It’s y/n. Are you busy right now? I have a question for you”. You sounded fine. Nothing sounded out of the ordinary, although you did sound a bit rushed. Whatever it was must have been important. He wondered if there was something urgent you needed him for, like a patrol call that went wrong.

During your work-study together, you always took things head-on. Any challenge Endeavor threw your way, you embraced, even if you didn’t succeed the first time. It was something he found admirable. So this strange change in behavior worried him.

“No, I’m not busy. Is something wrong?” He asked.

“Oh, no!” You paused for a moment, “well, I was just wondering if you wanted to come…do something with me on one of your days off. That is if you aren’t busy.”

Do something? You must mean for all of you at the Endeavor agency to “do something”. You, him, Bakugo, and Midoriya almost always stayed late after Endeavor had finished with work for the day. Usually, it resulted in a late-night convenience store run or stretching together, but you all had fun. You could be found laughing and talking together while on patrol or doing exercises. It was nice to have another friend.

“I'm not doing anything but I would have to ask Bakugo and Midoriya their schedules. I can give you their numbers if you want or I can ask them for you.” Shoto responded.

“No, that’s it’s okay. I really meant you and me. You know, like a date…let’s go on a date.” You said. There was no hesitation in your voice. It sent a shock to his system. He was under the impression that there would be some shyness, like what he had seen when watching movies with his classmates. Yet, there was no embarrassment at being left to explain your feelings so plainly because he couldn’t figure it out.

Shoto could feel his face heating, the one cheek more so than the other, but each side was warm nonetheless.

oh…Oh!….

By “do something” you had meant do something with him- just him!

“Ummm…I- umm….” Why couldn’t he say anything! All he had to do was give you an answer and yet it felt like he had both too many thoughts in his head and none at all. He took the phone and shifted it to his other ear, trying to buy himself just a few more moments. “I will have to make sure I have nothing else going on.” Shoto wasn’t sure what he was saying. It felt like his mouth was moving all on its own.

Why did he feel like this? Why did he feel so…he couldn’t even put a word to it. Being at such a loss for words, made him nervous.

He looked over his shoulder at his friends. For what reason, he wasn’t sure. It wasn’t like any of them could help. None of them knew what was going on, but maybe it would jog some sort of coherent thought. Or maybe one of them would notice and come help him think of what to say so he wouldn’t have to stand here lost in thought.

Suddenly, Shoto snapped his head forward when he heard you sigh. Even over the phone, he could sense your bittersweet tone. Honestly, he couldn’t tell if you were upset or not.

“I can text you what time I’m free.” He blurted out. The thought of you being disappointed in his previous response stirred something in him. He didn’t even mean to say that.

You hummed in response. “Just let me know I suppose. I’m free all day tomorrow so you can just text or call me when you wake up.”

Shoto nodded, then told you he would make sure to let you know when he realized you couldn’t see him.

“Well, I’ll let you get back to whatever you were doing. Have a Goodnight.”

“Yes. You as well” As he pressed the ‘end call’ button, he felt a rush of emotions hit him.

He had never thought someone could be interested in him, but now he has a date.

Originally, the whole point of coming to U.A, of interning with his own father, was just to become strong enough to be number one. There was no need for friends or love interests. But suddenly that all changed, with just one phone call! It was so overwhelming to the point where it felt like he had visible heat coming off his cheek.

As Shoto went back to his seat, he decided he would need to give the whole situation some serious thought. His internal monologue was interrupted though.

“So who called you? If you don’t mind me asking, that is.” Midoriya asked between bites of food, smiling the whole time.

“It was y/n.”

“Oh? It’s not like her to call. What did she want to talk to you about?” Midoriya finished with his food, putting the utensils across his bowl.

“Probably her shitty anime again. She’s been on about it for weeks” Bakugo scoffed, eyeing his teammates from across the table. “I don’t understand how you two listen to her yammer on about that crap! It’s not even that good” he whips his head around to Kirishima as the boy to his left scolds him for an ‘unmanly’ attitude.

“Lighten up dude, isn’t she your friend? Deku says you guys hang out after your work-study all the time. I’m kinda jealous. I wish I had a hottie at my work-study, all I get is useless Mineta…” Kaminari’s attitude suddenly sours at the thought of working with dumb stupid Mineta. “Seriously, he totally sucks. Anyways, back to the real conversation, we should be having, what’s a girl calling Todoroki for?” Kaminari points his finger at Shoto, grinning from ear to ear.

They all look towards him. He can feel his mind drawing a blank again. This feels so embarrassing but he can’t exactly explain why. Maybe he’s imagining it. Or maybe it’s because he isn’t really sure why you called. It was to ask him on a date, but he doesn’t understand why you would want to go on a date in the first place.

“She asked me on a date.” Shoto tries to respond with an even tone. He doesn’t want to let on just how unsure he really is. Not yet at least.

There’s a heavy silence between the five of them for a few moments.

There’s too many “a date?” “Who wants to go on a shitty date with you” “Dude how?” “What? You mean- how” for him to process how to respond. So he settles for, “She just asked to do something. Why is that so shocking?”

It’s Kaminari that takes the lead in interrogating him. “She just called and asked you?”

Todoroki nodded.

“Just straight up Said “hey Todoroki let’s go on a date.’ On a Friday night. No confession after patrol. No weird love note. Nothing.”

“Yes. That’s basically what happened”

Kaminari sat there for a few moments, staring dumbfounded. “…that’s so hot.”

“Dude! Don’t say stuff like that! It’s weird when we don’t even know her.” Kirishima shoved Kamimari’s shoulder as he spoke. However, they could all see the flush on his cheeks.

A woman who was so willing to put her heart on the line, willing to be blunt yet vulnerable, it was so manly but in a feminine way. It nearly drove Kirishima to tears.

“Oh so I can’t call her hot but Kirishima can say all this weird Shakespeare stuff-“

“Would you two shut up?! You both sound stupid!” Bakugo barked at them. He huffed and pushed his plate away from himself. “It’s not like she confessed her undying love or something. She just asked him out on a date. Y/ns has always been pretty blunt. “

“Kacchan’s right” Midoriya spoke up [shoto can hear a faint ‘don’t fucking call me that’ somewhere in the background]. “She really is blunt. Not in a mean way though!” He was quick to qualify his statement, not wanting to sound offensive or mischaracterize her. “I mean- it’s a nice change of pace sometimes. She’s pretty open when you ask her about how she thinks or feels, so I’m not really surprised. Did you not know how she felt Todoroki?” Midoriya moved in his chair as he spoke, almost fully facing him now. He was just so excited for his friend.

“It’s kinda fitting isn’t it?”

“What do you mean, Midoriya?” Shoto asked curiosity peaked by the dreamy look on his face.

“Well, the both of you are similar in some aspects. It’s funny, isn’t it? You’ve already got similar quirks, so it makes sense you would work well together. But then you’ve got similar personality traits also. You’re both straightforward- Todoroki more than y/n- hardworking, kind, although y/n tends to be more extroverted than you maybe that would only enhance your personalities more-“

“God damn Deku, you wanna be more creepy or what?” Bakugo sneers. “You’re gross when you do that kind of shit.”

Shoto smiled to himself, laughing a little as Midoriya’s face went bright, from his cheeks to the tips of his ears. Bakugo had a way of calling him out. Even if it wasn’t always nice, it was funny to watch sometimes.

“I’m just saying! We should all be happy for our friend! Y/n is a nice girl and they could be a really good couple” Midoriya looked to all of them, silently pleading that they would be supportive and not weird. A few of them slowly nod in agreement.

“Yeah” Kaminari leans in towards the middle of their group, reaching over Kirishima so everyone could hear him despite his hushed tone, “plus she’s hot. I saw that photo spread she did with Miruko over summer break. Damn what a bo-“

He freezes mid-thought as the four of them send him dirty looks.

“You never stop do you?”

“You’re being as bad as Mineta right now”

“Come on Kaminari have some tact”

Shoto sighs. He appreciated his friends trying to help but he still felt strange about the whole situation.

“What should I tell her? I said I would let her know if I was busy.” He interrupts their commotion, asking for their advice on what to do.

“So you didn’t say yes?” Kirishima raises an eyebrow at him. “Do you want to go?”

The question catches Shoto off guard. How was he supposed to know if he wanted to go on a date or not?

“I’m not sure.”

“Well do you like her?” Bakugo interjects.

“Yes.”

“Do you like her enough to go do stupid shit with her? Like see a movie or, I don’t know what’s something gross girls like…go to dinner?”

[“Bakugo, everyone goes to dinner” “fuck off it’s different when girls want you to go. You have to like…try”]

Shoto looks down at his hands in his laps. He does like you. You’re very kind to him. You’re very supportive of his training and always encourage him to be better. But you don’t just praise him because he’s the son of Endeavor or a top student from U.A., there’s a genuine connection that comes from your time working together. And you both have some things you can talk about, like hobbies and interests. Unlike Bakugo, he doesn’t mind listening to you talk about shows or books you like. It’s fun to watch you be passionate. So…maybe going to a movie wouldn’t be so bad.

“Yes. I think so. I suppose…I’ll give her a callback tomorrow then.”

A - Affection

° Is a ragdoll if that makes any sense. For hugs he'll just slump into you, whether if you're facing him or if he's hugging your back. When you two are going to bed, same thing. He'll either loosely wrap an arm or leg around you or simply just lay on top of you. Even if you are internally suffering because this boy is beefy and quite tall, he'll sigh in content and purr a 'goodnight' or 'I love you'. He also will do this in public, he doesn't comprehend that it could make someone uncomfortable.

B - Best friend

° He's like a cat, you have to prove your trustworthy enough for his company. And once you do, he'll nonstop follow you around. It's awkwardly endearing since he'll just follow you to wherever you go silently, genuinely suffering if you call in sick because he's so used to being around you. 9/10 he'll go to your house with some soup and medicine, not caring what he misses.

C - Cuddles

° This man is the most love deprived person in UA and no one can change my mind. So when you first cuddle him, it'll be like holding onto a human sized rock. It'll take a couple of months before he softens up and loosely returns the cuddles. His favorite type of cuddles is where you pretty much spoil him, it's when he lays his head on your lap so you can trace his features and play with his hair.

D - Domestic (Would they settle down?)

° You're the one who'd have to take things slow, the moment you two are officially dating is the time where he just assumes you two are going to get married eventually. It's his family who taught him that since Endeavor only married Rei for her powers. So he doesn't know that much about a sincere and regular paced relationship.

E - Ending (How would they end a relationship?)

° This man is too loyal to ever end a relationship and I stand by that, either the partner would have to end it or he would've rejected the person from the start. He has so much baggage that he's worried that no one else will be able to handle it, so he won't lose you if it's his choice.

F - Fiancé

° He'd propose after the second date if it weren't for you telling him that you want a regular paced relationship. He's ready, he has the ring, he has the dinner, he even has his damn tuxedo and rose. So the moment you even hint towards the fact that you want a wedding, he's leaving a note saying to meet him at the restaurant you both went to on your first date.

G - Gentle (Are they gentle on your feelings?)

° I'd love to say yes... But Shouto is far too blunt to be considered gentle on anyone. If he hurts you, he genuinely does not mean to and will not realize he has until you verbally explain it to him. You'd have to tell him your insecurities and baggage beforehand unless you want some very blunt and sharp comments from him that hurt.

H - Hugs

° Like I said before, he'll Ragdoll. His favorite hug is when you're back is faced towards while your cooking or training, then he'll rest his head into the crook of your neck and slump his larger body over yours gently. He'll sigh in content, watching you continue what you were doing with a blank stare. This really makes you question is Shouto is part cat.

I - I love you

° Took three months of dating before he said those three words to you, and surprisingly he was the first one to say it. You were visiting Shouto at his house, worried since he was home sick. When you walked in, you heard Endeavor scolding your boyfriend for being too weak to train thanks to his illness. Hearing this enraged you, so you stormed into their gym and cornered Enji into a corner while screaming at him. Seeing you stick up for him made Shouto feel loved, so when you ushered him back to bed he whispered those words that rang through his head.

J - Jealousy

° He thinks it's being protective, when in reality he just doesn't like it when you hang around certain people *cough Kaminari cough*. Shouto feels his heart stop when he sees naturally clingy people like Kaminari and Kirishima hugging you or offering a shoulder massage after a battle. He always buts in rather coldly, saying it's his job to hug and massage you not theirs. Please reassure him, he's very insecure and will tear up to a point.

K - Kisses

° His lips are very soft and plump but also semi cold, they always taste like Soba or mint hot chocolate no in between. Shouto will cup your jaw gently, pressing a soft kiss to your lips as you begin to drape your arms over his broad shoulders. His lips are very addicting and he doesn't understand the concept of PDA, so it's up to you to control both of you in public.

L - Little ones

° Wants to be a father, but is nervous that'll he'll become a shitty one like his own dad. He'd love to see little versions of you and him running across your shared home as they play around like children should. When you do have children he'll be the soft parent, too scared of scolding them thanks to his experiences with his own family.

M - Mornings

° Wakes up at the crack of dawn, goes outside to stretch and train for a bit, then goes back inside to wake you up and shower with you. He always makes breakfast since you're usually a mess in the morning, but the only thing he can't make is coffee since he doesn't drink it and wouldn't know how to make it. But if you drink tea then he'll take over breakfast fully. Shouto wears a tank top, boxers, and bunny slippers in the morning... And will tie his hair up into the tiniest ponytail (Rip because Shouto stans would be dead).

N - Night

° Even though he's a morning person, he surprisingly stays up quite late. He'll sit in bed and read a book, but he'll put it away if you want to watch a show with him before bed. He refuses to go to sleep without doing five specific things, Having a cute bubble bath with you, Giving each other a massage, talking about your days, asking what you want for breakfast tomorrow, and sharing a goodnight kiss. Skip any of those and he'll have trouble sleeping.

O - Open

° He'll talk about his struggles but he will be very vague with them until you're further in the relationship, he'll simply say his dad is a dick and abused his family rather than going into details about how much he suffers inside. He will understand if you have trouble talking about a certain struggle of yours, but he'll reassure you that he'll never judge you and that you can trust him.

P - Patience

° He's quite patient when it comes to you, he may not understand what a regular paced relationship is at the start. But he'll be willing to learn and understand, he's a great listener and will rarely ever fight with you. His goal is too be nothing like his father, and being so calm and collected really helps him achieve it.

Q - Quizzes (Do they remember details?)

° He remembers too many, he knows what shirt you wore the first day you two met and he knows what the first thing you said to him was. If you ask him a simple question like 'What's my favorite color?' he'll answer correctly in an instant, he sees your Quizzes as a challenge and he refuses to get any of them wrong.

R - Remember (Favorite memory)

° His favorite memory was your first kiss. It was in the middle of winter and he insisted on staying with you at your dorm thanks to the raging blizzard outside. You both were huddled under the blankets as he stroked his heated hand over your back to warm you up, you looked up at Shouto smiling warmly as his softly heated hand lit up the small space under your blanket. You shifted forward gently, pressing a quick peck across his lips. Your lips were so much warmer compared to his, and the cute giggle you made after you backed away only left him flustered. "One more?" Shouto begged, already leaning in.

S - Security (How protective are they?)

° Very, he's not toxic or verbal about it however. But if you come home after a battle, he'll pretty much run towards you and shower you in praises. He trusts you to defend yourself, but it never fails to scare him when you fight without him by your side. The last thing he wants is for you to be alone and in danger, or worse die alone without saying goodbye.

T - Try (How much do they put in the relationship)

° Shouto tries his best at everything when it comes to you, he'll stay up all night researching what a boyfriend should do. He goes out of his way even if it seems like small gestures, Shouto will get better with the relationship as time passes. But don't let his cold façade fool you, this boy is wrapped around your finger and he doesn't plan on slipping off.

U - Ugly (Bad traits)

° Shouto is very blunt and can come off as almost emotionless at points, he will definitely try to work on it when he start dating you. But he honestly just can't help it at times, if you wear something not overly flattering he will straight up say you look terrible without realizing how harsh it comes off. He's also not the best at comforting so you'll have to teach him how.

W - Wildcard

° Shouto loves calling you angel and my love, he likes how they make you sound like royalty. Since in his eyes you are royalty, he won't call you generic nicknames like baby, babe, babygirl, princess and so on. He only uses your name, angel, my love, or if he's feeling flirty 'Soon to be Mrs. Todoroki'.

X - X's (How many Exes does he have?)

° He has many but not in a bad way, they all went on one date with him and never called him back because they didn't enjoy his lack of romance knowledge. Some names to point out are, Momo, Kendo, Shoji (Shouto gives off bi vibes), Tokoyami, Mina, A male and female reporter, and Ojiro. Momo went on two more dates with him, but ended it when she fell for Jirou.

Y - Yuck (Doesn't want in someone)

° He doesn't want someone who only likes him for his quirk or his looks, he wants them to like him for him and not because he's popular among many. Shouto will not date someone who is close minded either, I can see Shouto not judging someone by their looks and simply liking their personality, so if someone who is judgy hits on him he'll decline in an instant. He won't click well with someone aggressive, picky, dramatic, or who isn't committed fully in him. This goes without saying, but he'll never date someone his dad wants him to.

Z - Zzz (Sleeping habits)

° Can't sleep if you're still awake, you will have to fall asleep first or he won't sleep at all. He likes being the little spoon and he's open about it, he likes feeling babied and protected since he's not used to it. A way to easily make him tired is by playing with his hair and kissing over his head and scar.

Ever since the quirk registration system was put in place my life has gone to shit. Not that it was ever good these last ten years, but from time to time I need to walk in the shadows with a mask on my face so I don't get caught, it would be bad if someone managed to drag me to the nearest health clinic.

As the name implies, the government makes a documentation of your quirk, those whose individualities are not useful are dismissed, but if you are unlucky enough to be useful or have a rare quirk, you will be taken to the trial where it will be decided whether you become a member of the Paranormal Liberation Front or become one of the many quirkless. Fortunately I was able to escape that.

My mom, if she were alive of course, would be taken away for sure. She had a rare kind of space-time quirk that allowed her to open portals, to teleport people or objects to two non-adjacent locations. My father didn't have such a flashy quirk, but it was useful in his work at the hospital, it was an quirk of not feeling tired or not needing sleep, something like that, I can't remember now because I haven't thought about them for a long time. And I had my little sister, who had not manifested a quirk at that time.

My whole family died on D-Day like thousands of other innocent people, unfortunately I was not as lucky. I was coming back from the beach when the bombing started and my father sent me a message telling me to run and hide. At the time I didn't understand what that meant, but when the buildings started to fall and half the city was engulfed in fire, I ran away as fast as I could.

I found out what happened in the morning before my mobile phone battery ran out. Bakugou - the student tipped to be hero number one - had been murdered by Izuku Midoriya, the self proclaimed successor of All For One and the Symbol of Fear, thousands died during the battle, the images of the genocide were broadcast for the whole world to watch and since that day the concept of happiness has been erased from that reality.

Would all this have happened if I had not been negligent at that time? This doubt wears away what little sanity I have left, so I cannot fantasise what my life would have been like in a colourful future, not without this sweet dream ending in a sea of blood.

Dreaming adds to the weight on my conscience, but I can't help imagining how nice it would be to open the door of my house and smell the smell of home-baked breads prepared by my mother. Although anything would be better than the smell of ashes and blood stuck to the soil of this country.

Dabi coming into ur room, annoyed that your not paying attention to him, and giving you shit playfully because you’re still in bed. You tell him that you’re not in the mood - your period came and the combination of fatigue and period cramps has you wanting to stay in bed the rest of the day.

You expect him to leave, but instead he’s climbing into bed with you, shimming down under the covers. Pushing him away, you say you’re not in the mood for sex, but he just shushes you and gently moves your hands away.

Suddenly you feel your shirt being pushed up, exposing your stomach, as very very warm lips kiss your tummy. You’re still suspicious but time passes and he doesn’t try anything more. Instead, he alternates between kissing every inch of exposed skin on ur belly, and laying his cheek against it - large hands holding your sides consistently, while your legs squeeze closer to his upper torso.

You push the doona down and over unruly black hair. Bright blue eyes lock with yours as you run your fingers through it, happily absorbing the warmth he provides. “Is the heat helping?” You nod, soft can’t even being to describe how you feel right now.

You spend the rest of the day like that. Cuddling in whatever position takes your fancy.

killing curses required stamina, energy, power… and health. neither of those were in your possession right now. you were tired, exhausted if you could exaggerate. your body was dragging you home and your limbs felt numb. your clothes were soaked because of the rain water and dirt was all over you from fighting curses in the forest. 

you walked inside your shared apartment with gojo. he was already waiting for you inside with the typical boyish smile on his face. you really wanted to return the smile, but you didn’t even have the power to give him a small gesture of love so he stood smiling at your tired face.

losing your balance, you tried to hold yourself up by leaning on the wall. without hesitation gojo came running to you. “you overdid it again”, he whispered as he held you under your shoulder.

you felt your body being lifted and assumed gojo had picked you up. he brought you to your bedroom, making sure you didn’t have to put effort into any of that.

you were grateful for him. if he wasn’t there for you you wouldn’t really know what you’d do on days like these.

hearing the front door open makes you instinctively jump to your feet. when you make it to the entrance of your apartment, you find kazutora kicking off his work shoes and slipping off his jacket. “tora! how was-“. your question is caught off by kazutora practically collapsing your arms out of exhaustion.

a light hearted chuckle passes by your lips before you help kazutora over to the living room sofa. after some effort you end up sitting on the couch with kazutora’s head resting in your lap. inhaling your scent, kazutora can’t hold back his sigh of content.

“wow, someone’s tired,” you giggle, gently pulling kazutora’s hair out of the ponytail it was in so you could run your fingers through his blond and black locks. “you and chifuyu must have been really busy”.

“hmm, missed you all day,” kazutora mumbled. he’s looking up at you with eyes that are struggling to stay open. after not seeing you for hours kazutora doesn’t want to ruin this moment by drifting off but it’s proving to be difficult.

with a soft smile, you reassure him that you missed him too. sometimes it sucked that you’d be separated for so long during the day but you understood why things were that way. ever since he got released from jail, kazutora has been doing everything he could to turn his life around. he got a job at the pet store with chifuyu and he’s been working hard to be the type of person who could take care of you.

it warmed your heart seeing all of kazutora’s effort but at the same time, you worried. “i’m really proud of you,” you tell him as kazutora takes one of the hands that was playing with his hair and brings it to his lips. the sleepy kisses that he leaves on your knuckles only makes you grin grow wider. “but you know, you deserve a break”.

just thinking about what earned him jail time made kazutora feel sick. he truly couldn’t believe that after everything he still managed to find someone like you, who loved him despite all his faults. it didn’t seem fair but at the same time he was grateful for what he perceived as his undeserved fortune.

“baji wouldn’t want you to work yourself to death” you remind him, as if you could read his mind and tell that his old friend had suddenly begun plaguing his thoughts. “and neither do i. i’m sure chifuyu would understand if you took the day off. how about it, stay home with me tomorrow?”.

the guilt in his chest makes it hard for kazutora to agree to your suggestion at first. the longer he looks up into those eyes of yours that he adored so much, he became unable to refuse you. “okay” he yawns. “hopefully chifuyu will be able to handle things”.

“i’m sure he can,” you replied. “so what do you want to do tomorrow? we can go for a walk in the park or we can bake? or just relax in bed all day. what do you think?”.

your inquiry gets no response. confused, you look down at kazutora to find him softly snoring in your lap. turns out he couldn’t keep himself awake any longer. it’s fine because he looks so adorable napping like a kitten. “never mind, we can talk in the morning,” you whispered, leaning down to kiss his forehead. “goodnight, tora”.

the adeptus finds that your touches spark a longing in him that has him wanting more every time.

he always indulges in your sweet touches, whether they are biref or lingering on his skin.

during the times he's still a bit hesitant to intiate physical affection, he relishes in the way you'd slowly take his hand in yours.

he absolutely loves it when you lean your head onto his shoulder whenever you two are sat beside each other.

his face flushes a deep shade of red everytime and you can tell he's flustered by the way he clears his throat but even then, he'd never shrug you off or ask you to lean away.

he may be rendered a little speechless but he secretly loves any sort of affection you give him.

when he gets more open in your relationship, he'll start to initiate smaller acts of affection.

he'll get close enough to brush his hand over yours, glancing at you birefly as if to silently ask whether you were fine with him taking you hand.

or when you both are spending a night at the balcony of wangshuu inn, he'll stand close enough for your shoulders to touch.

his touches aren't that big and showy, but xiao doesn't ask for much. even the smallest contact with you sends his heart soaring and pounding loudly in his chest anyways.

the way they glimmer and shine with joy, or the way they look at new things with such wonder and curiosity, he just loves them.

as a scientist, he likes to observe things and take little mental notes in his head. that's why he always stares at your eyes whenever you're doing anything.

whenever you're talking to him about anything your passionate about, unlike most people who stare at lips, albedo would intently look you in the eyes.

he enjoys watching how your eyes sparkle with so much passion and love, is so absorbed in the way they widen slightly when you realize he's staring at them.

he'd do nothing but smile at you softly and tell you, "do you know your eyes glitter like the stars when you talk like this, love?"

even when you're focused on something, sometimes he'll tear hus attention away from his work to look at how concentrated your eyes are on your work.

this man finds your lips completely irresistible and he will never get enough of them.

unlike albedo, he's the type of person who would stare at your lips when you talk enthusiastically about something.

he'd interupt your speech with a quick peck to the lips. it stuns you for a bit when he says, "sorry, baby. you looked adorable talking like that i couldn't resist."

childe would definitely ask you for some type of kiss every single day you live.

his day instantly brightens whenever you greet him with a peck to the cheeks, hair, forehead, etc.

kiss him anywhere and his lips will begin to turn up to form a thankful smile.

he'd always reciprocate with a kiss of his own to your lips, basking in the warmth and love they provide him.

he seems a bit clingy because of this, but you can't blame him when your lips are just that soft and addicting.

on days when he's tired and worn out, your kisses act like a little energy recharge for him. kiss him once and he feels like he could defeat the entirety of teyvat.

he always feels reassured and comforted when you give him a kiss. that's something he rarely feels as a harbinger, so whenever you kiss him he makes sure to treasure it and of course, reciprocate it.

ZHONGLI

zhongli cannot get enough of your words, the way you talk.

we all know he's around 6,000 years old so he knows millions of stories and has an endless amount of knowledge and wisdom.

still, he listens intently to any stories you have for him.

it doesn't even need to be stories, you can tell him about anything and he'd still look at you with such fondness and affection.

he absolutely loves it when you ramble on and on to him. he thinks it's adorable how much you know about a certain topic.

zhongli also lives for your little praises, thanks, and "i love you"s.

whenever you compliment him about anything, pride and love makes his heart swell, a small smile adorning his features.

mutters a little, "thank you, my dearest," before placing a small kiss to the top of your head.

bottom line, he will never get tired of hearing talk about absolutely everything and anything. even on days when you don't have much to say, he loves to hear your voice.

this man trusts you immensely and he holds your words to the highest regard so anything that comes from your mouth is precious to him.

DILUC

your smile is something that will always make diluc's day a lot better.

he just finds your smile so contagious and comforting. he is unable to stop a smile of his own from making its way onto his features whenever he sees it.

he would give anything to see any type of smile grace your beautiful features.

he takes mental notes on what you love just so he could brighten both your day as well as his.

in the mornings, when your both in the comfort of your own home, he'd always peck your cheek.

as a bonus, he'd wrap his arms around your smaller figure too.

he basks in the warmth you give when you lean into his chest, adoring the way a smile automatically comes to form on your lips.

often times he would get you some of your favorite snacks or flowers before heading home as well.

his heart completely melts when your eyes widen with surprise. he definitely pecks your forehead when you smile and tell him, "oh, diluc... you didn't need to, but thank you so much. i love them."

your smile heals him and dispels all the fear, sadness, and frustration he holds. he would do everything in his power to make sure you never lose such a beautiful thing.
