He left you for one minute to get drinks and all of a sudden, a random half-drunk guy came up to you, chatting you up despite your obvious protests, seemingly unaware of who you came here with. Keigo takes the seat next to you and says nothing more to the guy but as the guy protests, Keigo was quick to cut him off, irritation noticeable in his tone and expression, “fuck are you still here for?” Immediately, the guy recognizes who he’s dealing with. Panic and apologetic replaces his previously cocky expression as he cusses before excusing himself. Keigo turns back to you, pulling you closer to him as he soothes your arm. “You okay, pretty bird?”

✫ SUNA can’t help but lean into your touch when you run your hands through his hair. “mm, keep doing that,” he tells you, closing his eyes with a gentle smile on his face. he’s laying his head in your lap, hiding his face in your stomach. and he’s lucky that you can’t see the blush on his cheeks as you comb your fingers through the soft strands. “what was that? you want me to stop?” slowly retracting your fingers, you hear a a tsk. suna laces his slender fingers around your wrist and brings it back to his head. and when you lean down to give his forehead a soft kiss, a grin breaks out on his face — all because of you.

✫ AKAASHI feels his heart rate pick up when you pull him into a hug. there’s something so innocent about the way you hold onto his waist, pulling him towards you so you could wrap your arms around him, and he loves the pure kind of love you show him. he hopes you can’t hear the beating in his chest (you can), and he prays that you never let go. “keiji.” he simply hums in response. “you give the best hugs,” you murmur into his chest. a breathy laugh leaves his mouth, and you know by the sound of it that he’s smiling. his eyes are probably crinkled, his dimple making an appearance. and you smile, too, hearing the way the beating in his chest gets just a bit faster.

✫ KUROO feels so incredibly giddy when you laugh at his jokes. he melts at the sound of your laughter. to him, it sounds like everything beautiful in the world — the dew on a spring morning, wind chimes on a breezy day, the sparkles you see on water when the sun hits it just right. and when you look up at him with the remnants of that glorious sound leaving your lips, he can’t hold himself back from placing his hand on your jaw, and slowly leaning down to kiss your lips. you’re both laughing into the kiss — the feeling of nothing but joy encased between you two — and he feels his heart burst in his chest.

✫ SAKUSA knows that he isn’t always the best at giving you affection. of course, he tells you he loves you every day, and does little things for you, but physical touch has never been his strongest point. so when you lean your head on his shoulder to get comfortable during a long and tiring train ride, sakusa looks at you with love in his eyes. to be this comfortable with him and to initiate the touch he craved so much makes him fall for you even more. he leans his head on yours, taking the chance to slowly intertwine his fingers with yours.

✫ OIKAWA feels his face burn when you tell him you’re proud of him. with sparkling eyes, you tell him the three words that mean so much to him — “i’m so proud” — which sound a lot like three other special words to him. and sometimes, he’ll pretend it was nothing, saying “of course you are, i did great out there.” but when you nod in agreement, pink paints his cheeks. other times, he’ll look at you and simply pull you into a hug, pressing a kiss to your cheek, and wishing you’d tell him those words forever and more.

✫ IWAIZUMI rarely talks about his day, opting to ask about yours instead. he’s always been one to listen and support others, whether it be his team or you. however, when you ask him about his day out of the blue, his breath gets caught in his throat. all of a sudden, he’s a stuttering mess. he feels your hand slip into his, your thumb stroking the back of his hand, and he tells you about every aspect of his day: the little kid who said he wanted big arms like him, the bitter coffee at work, and how he missed you all day. at the end of it, you’re the one who’s flustered, smiling at the thought of being on his mind all day.

✫ ATSUMU lives for your attention. he says he can’t live without it. he often surprises you with little gifts, or by wrapping his arms around your waist to catch you off-guard, but once those actions are reciprocated, tsumu feels his whole body warm up with the feeling of pure love. and when you show him that you were thinking about him by bringing him some lunch to practice, or by randomly coming up to him to kiss his lips, he realizes that he’s never felt this type of love before he met you. “what was that for?” he’ll say smugly, taking ahold of your waist after you kiss his lips. “hm? nothing, just felt like doing that.” and with that, he’s pulling you in for another kiss — this one deeper, and slower. you can feel his heart beating in his chest against yours, and he hopes that your hands won’t notice how warm his cheeks are.

Now I’m curious, what kind of blackmail would prof Zhongli have on us? If so would we tell a close friend around it, not in the sense that they could do something but just being a source of comfort during the situation?

hi nonnie!! this is something I've talked about a bunch before throughout different posts (though you can most notibly see it in my series the color blue (specifically this chapter) which you should totally read if you haven't already hehe (^:<, as well as in this drabble), but because I've never given a clear, one hundred percent answer elaborately on here, I'll take the chance to do it now! also I've decided to change the way scholarships work in this universe for my own benefit simply because it works for me.

professor zhongli's blackmail isn't the traditional sort of blackmail you'd think it'd be. even more notably so, reader doesn't even realize they're being blackmailed at first due to just how subtle he is about it. dear, poor reader, is a scholarship student attending one of the most notoriously elite colleges the nation has to offer, one that, without afformentioned scholarship, they wouldn't be able to attend. additionally, part of the scholarship also allows and helps reader pay for reader to live off campus with their bestfriend in a tiny apartment. that scholarship is truly what reader is practically living on at this point. and, subsequently, professor zhongli, as someone who can easily be a driving force behind getting (forcing) reader off of that scholarship, holds their life and future in his hands.

zhongli is well known in your school, and is one of the reasons so many students each year apply. professors like zhongli, who've accomplished a lot and have decided to teach at the school, have so, so much power over you in the grand scheme of things. failing his class could easily jeopardize your scholarship in the school. and that's where zhongli's manipulation truly comes to play.

there's two major things that he does. the first one is that he lowers your grades and purposefully (and unjustifiably) fails you consistently just so that you're forced to either spend special alone time with him, or with his teachers assistant, xiao, who essentially acts as a mini-spy for him. the second thing is either convince other professors to treat you as ruthlessly, or to simply put you under so much pressure that you genuinely have to wonder whether or not continuing your education is worth the amount of stress you're put under, especially when, no matter how hard you try, you simply cannot meet zhongli's harsh standards.

this is where he fully lays the blackmail and manipulation in thick. he asks you if the stress you're putting yourself under is truly worth it, and makes you wonder, wouldn't it be just so sweet if you, instead of constantly teetering on the edge of failing and losing your scholarship, could just stay at home all day and be properly taken care of, if you could just never have to worry about a single thing again?

he essentially gives you a choice: continue to struggle not to fail and lose everything you've worked so hard for, or live a quiet, sweet, peaceful life with him where you wouldn't have to worry about a single thing anymore. it's up to you.

The sea was brimming with the shades smudged up on it by the dull sun hanging over the sad New Year sky.

It had been two years. Two years since the last time Mikey saw this very sun rose up from the east with his people. His people. It was a precious collection of faces that could burn up his soul even when this life had turn it into ashes.

Time... it was beautiful with them.

"Are you missing them too, Taiyaki-san?" mumbled Mikey to his beloved fish-shaped cookie. "Are they missing me too...? I wonder whether Kenchin is doing good or not these days. Because... last night, Emma requested me to check up on him. But you know, I just could not..."

"...why so?"

Came a voice and Mikey frowned.

"You can speak Taiyaki-san?" he said. For a second he thought, with extreme bewilderment, that it was his beloved cookie who asked the question out of his sentence.

However, when Mikey heard the same voice giggle at his foolish words, it became clear to him that it wasn't the case as he pronounced.

For when he turned his head slightly to his left, he found a female leaning against the wharf on which he was sitting beside the ocean port.

She turned her face towards him and Mikey watched the cruel January winds ruffling its fingers past through her (h/c) tresses.

"Such a beautiful morning, isn't it, Mikey?" said the female, smiling a warm smile. "Such a beautiful season to miss your loved ones."

"Who are you?" Mikey asked with the frown settled on his lips deepening.

Exactly.

Who was she?

Coming out of nowhere.

Calling him by his name.

But it seemed, as though she was not in the mood to answer his question as she parted her lips to speak again.

"Shinichiro always used to say that one must always sway away from meddling with the evil. Because it's consuming. The evil. It's treacherous. It came in the night to creep up your chest. To cut through your fibres. To make home inside your heart."

'Huh? Is she delusional?' Mikey thought and said, "what do you mean by this?"

"You know very well already, Mikey."

No he don't.

And how dare she call his name in the same manner his late brother used to say.

"He won't be happy to see you like this, Mikey. All this blood and violence, he never approved of this style and I don't think so that he ever wanted his little brother to engage himself with such things too."

She tilted her head. Her (e/c) orbs took to gaze into his own black ones and Mikey felt them peering deep inside his tattered soul.

"It's been so long..." she mumbled and tore her irises away to look up at the hazy winter sky.

"Let all those who left you live through your sufferings, Mikey. But don't let the void their absence created being filled with anything but sweet memories you made with them... okay?"

The female leaned away from the wharf and took to rummage her hand inside her bag. From inside it, she pulled out a pack of Dorayaki and placed it before him.

"Happy New Year, young Sano. May this year bring you back to warmth."

And, she raised her hand. Brought it closer towards his face so her fingers could grace his cold skin.

It was like she just dusted off all of his bad corners.

How could someone who you only met could feel so much like home?

"Who are you?" Mikey asked. This time hoping that she would reply. But all he got in return was her sweet smile.

"Ask your brother," the (h/c) haired female said. "He will tell you about me." And with this, she turned to leave.

But in the process, Mikey caught a hold of a glinting necklace that stayed hanging to her neck.

He knew this necklace...

In his memories. He had seen it in them.

And, he felt, images pouring before his eyes. He felt them carrying him away.

Away... to that day.

"Woah! This is so beautiful, big bro! Can I have it?" Emma chimed. Her eyes shining with admiration as she sat, looking down at a quiet simple floral necklace.

"What are you talking about?" Shinichiro said, looking over his shoulder.

He jumped, the moment he noticed what Emma was referring. Jogging to her, he tried to take the necklace but she hid it behind her back.

"Uh! Emma! Give it back to big bro— from where you found it?"

"It just fell from your pocket," said Emma. "Now, can I have it, please? It's so pretty." She requested. Batting her lashes innocently but Shinichiro shook his head. With a soft face he said, "I will buy you another, Emma. One more prettier than this, okay?"

"No! I want this one!"

"Understand it, Emma," Shinichiro panicked, watching Emma being ready to unleash her stubborn side.

"Pwease, big bro—"

"—Emma, I said I'll buy you another—"

albedo: albedo enjoys your songs incredibly. he enjoys the love stories the most! but he doesn't mind hearing depressing stories; he just has a clear preference!! albedo appreciates those stories both fact and fiction; the stories that touch close to home are those based on your personal experiences, and he can only stare in awe as you sing of love, your dreams, heartbreak, or sadness. sing him sweet melodies of your relationship and how you're so happy together, and he's so whipped!

scaramouche: he may pretend like he's not interested, but he actually is. proof? well, he asks questions afterward! "why would they do such a thing? how stupid..." even if he does berate the story a bit. his favorite songs are those he can relate to, otherwise, he may be bored. sing him songs of battle, feeling torn between two conflicting ideals, kings and queens; royalty. he'll listen then. scaramouche likes when you praise him in your songs, so please do that.

xiao: he appreciates them so much! naturally, he's drawn to the darker stories. those of a couple who can not be, or someone losing something or someone so close to them they can't function properly, and the tragedies of life and death. he's not sure why he enjoys those stories, probably because he prefers realism, he despises sugarcoating with a passion! the love stories you share are probably your personal experiences with him, and he cannot lie, he does enjoy those quite a bit! <3

zhongli: he's a stickler for songs of the past! old tunes that remind him of the olden days, trying times where he and his people were able to pull through. he finds great pleasure in those kinds of stories told through song! of course, the triumphs should be remembered, and singing those stories of war, forbidden love, etc in the past is right up his alley. he also likes the realisticness of it all! but that doesn't mean he hates the fictional side, no. sing him words of myths, fairytales, he loves it all as long as it's your velvety voice. but, always, swimming in the nostalgia will always be his favorite type of song you sing for him.

"i'm a tad bit stressed, so i'm just going to sing alright? cool."

albedo: he doesn't mind at all! if singing is your way of releasing your worries, fear, and major stress factors in your life, go for it. he has his own form of outlet and ways to release stress, and this is yours! when you start randomly singing your worries and anxieties, you aren't doing it in hopes he'd fix all your problems, but he always offers a word of advice after, comfortably giving you the space to ask for help or not.

scaramouche: not cool. he's far too busy to sit here and listen to you sing about your worries, although he does care. he would snap at you first, but then he'd listen and try his best to ease your worries. when i say "best" i mean it, he does try. but he's not the most comforting guy, hence words that sounded like reassurances in his head turned into an annoyed tone when he actually said it aloud. if you're together, you know by now not to get offended by his harshness, because sometimes he truly does mean well and isn't trying to be rude. <3

xiao: he's heard every cause of stress in the books, so when he hears you ask him if it's okay to basically rant, he just nods and continues listening. xiao's heard all of the despair, sadness, frustrations, and anger known to man trust me. he's helped people too, so what kind of lover would be if he didn't offer his assistance to you? like scaramouche, his words of encouragement or reassurance come out a bit rougher than preferred, but unlike scaramouche, his walls do come down and he lets softer things be said; "i don't know why you've held this in for so long... but i will do everything in my power to assist you with these feelings."

zhongli: all ears! he even offers some helpful advice, always. his main goal is to listen to your songs, access the situation, analyze possible outcomes of solutions, and then help you reach that solution! you never wanted him to go out of his way over things little or big, but he does no matter the issue, small or big <3 he handles what you sing with the utmost care, trust me. and when he listens to your songs, especially those of confessions of stress, he will always look you in your eyes to let you know he's listening intently and will do whatever it takes to help you feel reassurance.

"confession through a song? sure why not!"

albedo: doesn't realize it's a confession... he mistakes your confession for a love story either fact or fiction, but not you admitting your love to him. he's probably caught up in the song if there seem to be overtly affectionate love interests, not realizing it's you who has those feelings for him and are admitting it... at the end of the day, the moral of the story is, you've gotta outright tell him!! say, "albedo, i have a crush on you!" or "did you not catch my song as a confession?" don't be scared, he totally has feelings for you too, he just needs to be told outright. afterward? he's very straightforward with his feelings too and will openly admit his love for you! <3

scaramouche: he may not notice it's a confession at first, but then when he processes what's being said, oh boy! beat red in the ears. he's sooo lucky his hair covers his ears or else, more embarrassment the gods are totally willing to spare! he's going to do one of two things; avoid this as long as he can, and pretend he never heard you express your feelings to him through song OR flat out call you out, using words such as, "idiot" and "stupid" or 'brat" claiming you've gotta be joking. but you're not... if he takes this route, he's definitely not rejecting you, no, he's just flat out making fun and teasing you because he can't possibly admit his true feelings, oh not the scaramouche!!

xiao: xiao isn't dumb, he understands what the "yearning" and "love" you mention are in your song, but he doesn't act on it at first and just continues listening to you sing. it's much easier to ignore the meaning of the words and enjoy the melodic sounds of your voice than confront this and his own feelings. so he does that for as long as he can. until he can't sleep... and he starts thinking of your sweet words while he's supposed to be sleeping. he won't admit he has feelings with words, but one way you can be sure is when he starts allowing you to call him alatus! after you ask zhongli about the meaning, plus why he's suddenly so determined you call him that, zhongli says he's never heard of anyone allowed to call xiao that, not even himself; meaning, the wise man has come to the conclusion xiao returns your feelings. which is true!

zhongli: he knows due to his wisdom and incredible intuition, and he's so flattered! he's always felt the same way, so to have you bravely admit your feelings to him through singing, it's perfect! he never saw you admitting how you felt, ever, mainly because after he told you his story and who exactly he was, he thought you wouldn't try because well... if you ever got together, he would long surpass you. growing attached was definitely not suitable if you wanted to be together for the rest of your life. though, after he confronts you about these feelings and admits he also feels the same way, he promises you he will figure out a way for you two to be together! whether he has to entirely shorten his lifespan and abandoned his status now as an adeptus, or seek help from celestia, or even baal, god of eternity; he will figure it out, he promises you wholeheartedly! <3

Of all the decisions you’d made in your life, agreeing to go on a date with Shota Aizawa was turning out to be one of the better ones. Even after the awkward stiffness of the first few times going out disappeared, the man continued to be extremely gentle, patient, and kind. Many people looked for these exact traits in a partner, but they were even more important to you. With the experiences of your past like a constant shadow looming over you, even just convincing yourself to put yourself out there to try and meet new people was a difficult issue to overcome. So, finding a partner who could not only accept the fact that these traumatic things had happened to you but also help you move past them was even more unlikely.

Admittedly, you hadn’t shared the horrors from your younger years with your hero boyfriend yet, but you were starting to feel like you might be able to open up to him about it soon. The fear that he would lose interest in you and leave every time you shrugged off his affection had begun to ease away. He’d looked confused the first couple times you’d pushed him away, but not once had he looked annoyed or gotten angry. For a while, you had also worried that he would ask about your odd behavior, but that hadn’t happened yet either. Aizawa seemed to understand and respect your need for space and to move at a slower pace through the relationship.

“Today I will tell him.” You promise your reflection in the mirror one morning as you get ready for the day. Aizawa was scheduled to come over to have dinner with you after his patrol, and you thought it was as decent an opportunity as any to finally expose your dark secret.

You were feeling fairly confident about it until you turned on the TV right as the local newscaster launched into a story about a young child who’d apparently gone through a similar situation as yourself. As quickly as you can, you change the channel and try not to let the disturbing report trigger any of the memories that so often haunted you.

After convincing yourself that you’d be all right and that you just needed a distraction, you grab your keys and head to the supermarket to pick up the ingredients you’d need for dinner that evening. The harder you tried not to think about the child from the news though, the more it seemed to pop into your head. Soon, familiar images from your past began to consume your thoughts, making your stomach roll and skin itch uncomfortably.

“Dirty.” The word slips from your lips as you rush back home, avoiding the stares of people around you who you were convinced knew every single terrible detail of the memories currently rushing through your mind. You toss the groceries onto the ground once you make it back, more concerned with getting rid of the filthy feeling all over your body than putting the food away. You rush to the bathroom, eager to scrub every inch of yourself until the shame went away.

By the time Aizawa showed up, you felt more composed. You’d managed to put yourself back together after the shower and get all the groceries put away, hopefully leaving your boyfriend none the wiser about the rough day you’d had.

“Smells good in here,” He smiles as he comes in the door, slipping out of his shoes and tucking his feet into the pair of slippers you kept at the entrance for him. “Anything I can do to help?”

“N-no, I’ve got it.” You bite your bottom lip to try and keep your mind focused. The warmth and genuine kindness in his eyes made a wave of guilt wash over you, and your thoughts began to spiral. How long had you been with Aizawa now? How long had you been deceiving a good man? You shake your head, reminding yourself that you had every intention of telling him. Still, you couldn’t help but wonder if he deserved someone better than you… someone less… tainted. Without realizing, your hands had begun to shake and your breathing become labored.

“Hey, is everything all right?” Aizawa’s hand appears in front of you to take your hands into his but you rip out of his grasp and back away, hot tears finally springing forward and blurring your vision. The shock stays on his face for just a moment before morphing into concern as he whispers your name softly.

“No!” You shake your head. “You can’t. We can’t. I’m just… I’m sorry. You should be with … someone else. Someone better.” You were too upset to form coherent sentences, and Aizawa was clearly confused.

You couldn’t believe his patience and self-control. Why wasn’t he getting angry? You could see it in his posture that he was holding himself back from rushing over to you. Even now, he was giving you space and remaining calm. This wasn’t the way you wanted him to find out, but you found that you couldn’t keep the truth in any longer. With a choked sob, the truth spills from your lips. You explain as quickly as you can how your body had been violated against your will, and how that made you feel too disgusting to be with anyone, especially someone as good as him. Aizawa looked stunned as he took in your confession. Then, his eyes were also filling with tears as you told him sadly that you understood if he wanted to leave.

“I’m not leaving,” he states without hesitation, “not unless you tell me to.” Seeing you standing across the room with your shoulders hunched and shaking as you continued to cry was breaking his heart. “The only disgusting thing is the person who did those things to you.” He wipes the wetness from his own cheeks before taking a hesitant step forward. “Please, can I hold you?”

The nagging self-doubt was still in the back of your head, but you still manage to force your feet to shuffle forward until you’re close enough for Aizawa to pull you firmly into his arms and safely against his chest. “I’m so sorry that happened to you,” He murmurs softly while letting his hand rub slow circles on your back to try and calm you down. “And I would never leave you over something that wasn’t your fault.” The comforting words bring about a fresh wave of tears and you wrap your arms around his waist, fingers fisting into his shirt to keep him close. You stay embraced for a few minutes as your breathing calms down and you start to relax, Aizawa telling you how strong and brave you are the whole time.

“T-the food,” you mutter as the timer on the stove goes off. Reluctantly you pull away and turn to grab some oven mitts, but your hands are still shaking.

“Let me,” Aizawa offers and you let him take the dish from the oven and set it on the counter. Before you can say another word, he pulls you back into his arms and you let out a teary laugh.

“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you all this sooner,” you nuzzle your face into his chest. “I just… I just couldn’t.”

“It’s okay,” Aizawa shakes his head. “You don’t have to be sorry about that. Please tell me I never did anything to make you uncomfortable.”

“No, you’re perfect.” You look up and smile at him so he knows how honest you’re being. “More than perfect.”

“I hope you know I feel the same way about you,” He says seriously.

“Even now?” You can’t help but ask.

“Even now.” He confirms with a nod of his head.

The confidence of his answer caused that small hope in your chest to bloom into true happiness. For so long, you’d hoped to find someone you were not only comfortable enough with to divulge the trauma of your past, but also someone you could trust enough to join in your journey of self-healing. Aizawa seemed to fit every category and then some with flying colors. Agreeing to go on that first date with him had definitely been one of the best decisions of your life.

izuku midoriya thinks it's the cutest thing in the goddamn world when you ramble. he can listen to you talk for fucking hours. and he just sits there, writing it down in the notebook of his mind with love struck eyes and a dreamy expression on his freckled face.

katsuki bakugou is the type that's all "stay the hell out of my kitchen" at first, but when you share an eagerness to learn he can't help but love the idea of teaching you. calloused hands guiding you through slicing an onion and reminding you to curl in the tips of your fingers so you don't cut them.

when shouto todoroki is finally comfortable enough to tell you the details of his childhood, the nitty gritty and ugly parts of it that he doesn't ever really tell anyone there's a weight lifted off his chest and he can finally breathe again. he never knew what it was like to not be weighed down by the past and all he can think is that your demons live in him too and the world doesn't feel so lonely anymore.

denki kaminari is so surprised the first time he finally gets the courage to kiss you he accidentally shocks you; hair stranding up wildly and you feel like you just pressed your lips to a dryer sheet. He's embarrassed, cheeks and nose turning a bright shade of red that even reaches to the tips of his ears but he can't help but sigh when you laugh and lean in for another one.

keigo takami is nothing short of flattered the first time you walk up to him and ask him to take you flying. something strange happens to his heart; feeling like it's much too big for his chest when he looks at the way you're nervously twisting your hands in front of you. But the pure joy, the elated way you look at him when you realize you can touch clouds.

and now your confused and laughing your ass off as you explain that it was a dare
