Overwatch Halloween headcanons 

Genji Shimada

⛧ He loved Halloween as a kid so he’s happy to celebrate it

⛧ Does care too much about what you two would do during that day as long as you’re together

⛧  But preferably would either go out with you or watch horror movies whole night

⛧  If asked about his halloween costume his first answer always will be “My halloween costume? Cyborg ninja!”. He thinks this answer is funny, but in fact he always has a costume

⛧ Genji always takes his time and every year wants to surprise everyone with his costume

⛧  He once happened not to have any ideas and asked you for help and ended up with his armored sprayed with paint (his 2021 weekly halloween skin “Skeleton” skin)

⛧ Definitely goes out to buy decorations and sweets

⛧ You two either go out to party with friends or stay together watching horror movies and give candy to children

⛧ Genji will buy the prettiest pumpkins he can find to carve them with you, it’s much easier for him to carve them since he’s very good with sword 

⛧ If two stay at home and you don’t wanna watch a horror movies, he’s got some games to play

Hanzo Shimada

⛧ He never had a chance to celebrate Halloween, especially during his time in the Shimada Clan

⛧ Now that he's no longer a part of the Clan, he can celebrate Halloween all he wants

⛧ Hanzo is not a party person, so he would rather spend his time with you in the house than going out

⛧ He's not that interested in carving pumpkins at first, since he doesn't want to get dirty, but once he started, he won't stop until his satisfied 

⛧ Is Hanzo going to get a costume? Absolutely 

⛧ Definitely will ask for your opinion on what costume he should get

⛧ In the end he’s gonna be a vampire, cuz why shouldn't he be one?

⛧ In the halloween day, he will be proudly wandering around in his costume

⛧ If you don't want to be the one to give candy to children, don't worry he will take care of it

⛧ He just want how creative kids can get with this and he never had a chance to give them candy, so he's kinda excited 

⛧ In the end, you two will probably fall asleep in watching horror movies

Cole Cassidy

⛧ He was celebrating halloween since he can remember, even with the deadlock gang

⛧ Cole’s really excited to spend Halloween with you 

⛧ Especially during this time of year, his favorite nickname for is “pumpkin”

⛧ He's really into matching costumes and he was the one to suggest it

⛧ He’s really into matching costumes, because he doing group costumes back in the deadlock gang and it kinda became for a tradition for him

⛧ Cole either gonna choose hot scary or just weird ones, (for both of you or for himself) depending on his mood

⛧ If you're gonna say you don't want matching costumes, he's gonna pretend he's offended, but in the he's gonna love whatever you will pick for yourself, if you're really not into his idea

⛧ If he’s costume idea requires makeup, he’s gonna come to you no matter if you’re better or worse than him at doing makeup, he’s really bad at it and trust you with it more than himself

⛧ His favorite part about going out to halloween parties, is seeing other peoples costumes, he just loves seeing people’s creativity

Gabriel Reyes

⛧ Gabriel may seem a bit grumpy, but he does like halloween

⛧ When was young, he really enjoyed treat or tricking, but now he’s into that too much

⛧ He would rather stay at home than going out

⛧ Gabriel won’t admit it, but he does want to get a costume to wear around the house

⛧ He’s gonna act like a mom if you mention buying new costume or decoration “We already have decoration.” “You have a costume from last year, you don’t need a new one.”

⛧ But he’s not gonna say anything if you buy anything new, in fact, he will be curious about the new stuff

⛧ He’s going to order one without you know as a surprise, since he made you thought that “He’s too old for costumes”

⛧ He loves seeing the mix of surprise and confusion on your face when he shows you his costume

⛧ Reyes gonna joke about scaring kids so he’s doesn’t have to give them candy, but you know he’s not gonna do that

⛧  Watching horror movies isn’t scary for him, but if you’re scared easily during these movies, he will tease you and maybe scare you 

⛧  He will probably fall asleep before the movies ends

Lucio Carriera dos Santos

⛧ He’s been thinking what he should wear the whole year and when halloween is near, he has no idea what costume to choose

⛧  Expect him to ask you for help with choosing costume, which gonna take some times since he really wants to wear all of them

⛧  Lucio besides buying some decoration, will make try to find some diy videos to make some decorations himself for fun

⛧  Instead of carving, he enjoys painting the pumpkins

⛧ He’s definitely gonna take you out to party to a club or to your friends party, he’s either gonna go just with you or group of mutual friends

⛧ In the club, beside dancing, he’s gonna get both of you halloween drinks

⛧  During house party, there’s gonna be a lot things happening

⛧ Watching movies, playing games, making halloween food, making carving pumpkin contest, etc.

⛧ During horror movies he will try to hide behind you, Lucio gets scared really easily so he’s gonna hold on you for his life

Something interesting about this season, is that the Young Wolf still feels guilt over what happened to Cayde. The Nightmare of Uldren very directly speaks to the Young Wolf, and taunts them.

Uldren:

And because the YW doesn’t speak, Eris does.

Eris:

But his lies do. The Young Wolf still doesn’t know what happened between Cayde’s stunt, and when they found him broken and dying on the ground. We don’t know how much pain he was in in those final moments, or how painful it is to lose our Ghost. To build on that thought, this conversation between Crow and Eris.

Crow:

Eris:

So the Nightmare of Uldren telling the YW that Cayde screamed, reached out for his Ghost and begged? That’s not necessarily a memory, or even true. That’s what the Guardian imagined, what they feared Cayde went through in his final moments. The worst way to die to them. Screaming in pain, begging for your now-dead constant companion for help. 

It’s not what we, the player saw. We saw Cayde go to his final death with a sense of resolve. We saw him take each painful blow, we never saw him scream or beg. It’s all what the Young Wolf fears Cayde went through, because they weren’t fast enough. 

guess we old soldiers are hard to kill. but i should have known. you always took his side. he did this to me, ana. they left me to become this thing. they left you to die. they left me to suffer.

How Sonic and Amy fall in Love

"He fell first, she fell harder "

Sonic:

He crushes on Amy INSTANTLY (ofc) but over time, once he gets to know Amy better, he starts to love her EVEN MORE. Cuz in my opinion "love at first sight" isn't really a thing, it's cute but having his love for her grow even more over time is a lot more cute and wholesome ❤ (imo)

And now!

Amy:

At first, she thinks Sonic is a dork, she finds it cute but denies the idea of her liking him. But then getting to know him, she thinks "ok, I might like him, but I don't want anything to do with him" then something happens like he does something like, a heroic act or something (Idk lol) that makes Amy fall for him in that moment! making her think, "ok, maybe I like this guy more than I thought"

So yeah! That's my headcanon there XD 💙🩹🩷

How would OW characters love you?

(Ft. Reaper, Genji, Ramattra, Hanzo, Venture and Cassidy)

A/N: It's been quite a while, but I'm happy to share a little thing I've written.

Reaper

At first, Gabriel would refuse the idea of being in love. There was no way the thing he had become was deserving of love - nor did you deserve to be with anything like him. The confession would probably come from you, or the feelings you two have for each other would simply be locked away and forgotten with time. Unsure touches, hesitancy in communication would plague your relationship early on, leading to frustrating fights and time spent apart.

Gabriel had spent so long being Reaper, that he had forgotten how to treat another gently, softly. Years of being one of Talon’s obedient and ruthless weapon left him scarred, almost a husk of the man he one day was. Patience, lots of it, would be needed to build a healthy relationship with him. With time, he would slowly start to mimic the actions you did to him - learning from you on how to love and be loved - this could lead to Gabriel learning to love you just the way you want him to.

Not big on romantic gestures, and doesn’t like PDA. He has an underlying fear that if anyone were to find about his weak spot for you, it would mean harm your way.

Genji

It would not take him long to recognize the emotions he was experiencing, as the excitement and exhilaration of a new love were familiar to him due to his youth. The anxiety and giddy feelings were difficult to overlook or ignore. He would not hesitate to express his feelings, as he was quick at noticing if someone reciprocated his affections based on their reactions to his affections. He was accustomed to this aspect of a relationship and would confidently touch and remain close to the person he was interested in whenever possible.

Due to his past, Genji would have an underlying anxiety about performing well as a partner. He was good at sweet talk, enough to make your heart flutter - but when it came down to serious conversations and fights, he would almost shut down. In the past, whenever these things happened, he would simply dump his past partners and move on - but he didn’t want to do that now. So he would be awkward, asking you what he could do to amend the wrongs and fix the situation. He would heavily depend on you to guide him in that way.

Wouldn’t be able to hide your relationship, almost always bringing you up in a conversation. Excitedly calling you his partner.

Ramattra

Love? How futile.

He had no time for such weak emotions, no time to spend worrying over your safety when you were a human - the kind he hated with his very being. No. Ramattra only spent his attention and utmost care towards the cause he believed in.

Or that's what he desperately wanted to believe.

But the amount of stress his system felt when he saw you in the middle of the battlefield, how he was reluctant to end your life right where you stood, proved it all to him that he was *wrong*. Ramattra would take what felt like a lifetime to confess, seeing you sick and injured pushed him to it - the reminder of your mortality severely affecting him. Would try to do everything at once one day, showcasing his innocent and lack of experience in *love*.

Every word, every moment would be recorded through his optics and stored forever in his hard-drive. Ramattra’s touches sometimes felt… ghostly. As if he was afraid of breaking you. But he was always sure to impose his threatening aura around strangers.

A silent reminder of your importance.

Hanzo

Throughout the most part of Hanzo's life, there were only two things he felt the most. The bitter regret and the pain of tomorrow. Losing everything came at a great cost and it shined clearly when you met Hanzo for the first time, when you tried to befriend him - the look in his eyes. Hanzo would avoid you emotionally once he feels… different. Part of him knows what he feels but another one denies it with all of his strength. Not for pride, simply because he's afraid of losing once again.

A wall to talk to. His indifference at the start would drive you crazy, driving you away until he finally realizes how much more empty he feels with your absence. Even so, does a small act of servitude by giving you your favorite food - a small attempt to see if you still care for him. Just enough so he can *try* and allow himself to feel the gentle feeling of love.

Small smiles your way, brushing your hand with his while passing by. All small but mean so, so much for Hanzo. There is no shyness, just gentleness, and no fear of showcasing such feelings in front of others.

Venture

Spending most of their life researching and excavating did really not leave any space for romance. Venture would be quick to accept the feeling, the rush of adrenaline and giddy feeling quickly taking over their mind as they realized they liked you. It would be obvious to anyone around them. The way their eyes would be searching for you in the room, quickly asking someone if they've seen you and when they do finally see you - the biggest smile they can muster.

Your name would be mentioned by them every chance they get.

A confession would take mere days, and if you weren't totally sure about them - they'd at least hope you'd let them take you out on dates so you can get to know each other better. Small trinkets of their affection would be given to you, crystals and rocks being the main source of it, secretly hoping you'd try and find the meaning of them.

Their only flaw is being overly excited about the feeling, sometimes overly romanticizing you and getting disappointed when you don't reach their standards.

Cassidy

Smooth.

Cassidy would recognize the blush that would dust his cheeks when you were around, how he seemed to want to impress and sweet talk you. That would be his way of gaining your favor slowly, calling you sweet nicknames and trying to charm you with his words. A small brush of his shoulders on yours, opening doors for you and tipping his hat when he passes by - all small acts that are meant to sweep you off of your feet.

A relationship would bloom slowly, as he would like to ride out the early fluttering feeling of love. Going through all the small showcases such as holding your hand, gifting you something meaningful before taking you out on a date and asking you two to finally be oficial. To everyone else around you, it was clear that Cassidy was courting you - and no one else dared to attempt anything. Whispers of his past holding them back on doing so.

Cassidy’s flaw would be being too warm or too cold. Either giving you hurtful but helpful advice, or comforting and unhelpful ones. It would solely depend on his mood, but you can always tell when he doesn't really wanna make decisions. Sometimes he just wants to exist, to let himself breath without any worries.

Cayde-6 Dating A Warlock {HC’s}

-How you haven’t killed him is mystery -He constantly asks you questions about everything from Ikora to when the universe is going to end. -The Hunters have taught you more than you ever wished to know about Cayde and honestly, it is a little scary how much they know about him. -When you meditate you will either be sitting on him while he buries his face in your hair or robe or he will be laying on you taking a nap.  -Cayde likes to give gifts when he can’t give physical affection so he makes bonds for you out of things that he found in the wilds. Your favorite one is a bond that he created out of the materials of his arm that he lost in the red war. -Ikora approves of your relationship saying that you keep him grounded and focused. -Zavala, however, doesn’t. He prefers to have his fellow vanguard one hundred percent present instead of worrying about you while you are off with one of his hunters. This causes a rift between you and him while Cayde seems unaware of the small battle occurring right under his nose.  -He loves to read with you whether it be a trashy romance novel or one of your more informational books he just wants to relax and spend time with you.

Could I get some Cayde 6 with a loud fem hunter reader? Maybe her being self concious bc shes loud?

-Your boisterous personality is refreshing to him. Cayde is used to very serious Warlocks and Nightstalkers so you hear your loud laughter brings a small smile to his face everytime he hears it.-You will always be unique to him. There are not very many genuinely happy guardians left and very few hunters who possessed such rowdiness. Most importantly you will always be special to him and he’s found himself falling in love with your joy.-However, seeing you change yourself in order to make others happy displeases him. Cayde finds you so amazing that he can not see why any other being wouldn’t be able to see that as well! He’ll tell you that you should never stop being you and seeing the smile that you gave him made his heart flutter. -If you are ever self-conscious about who you are he will always notice it and pull you aside. Cayde’s words never fail to cheer you up and so you’ve started to do the same for him despite not knowing that your mere presence makes him happy.-Your close relationship eventually blossoms into a wonderful romance that lasts an eternity until death finally wedges it’s way between the two of you and tears your relationship apart.
