I know it's been said before but the shame that your adhd symptoms make you feel on a daily basis is so cruel and devasting

- the food you forget or don't manage to eat that you have to throw away

- the impulsive comments you wish you could take back

- impulse purchases you regret

- the Being Late

- breaking things and other avoidable accidents

- forgetting things you need at home

- not texting people back

- promising to do something and then not doing it

- not meeting class expectations

- forgetting things people tell you

- all the books you bought that you still haven't read

- the chores you put off

- failing or putting off presumably "easy" tasks

The list goes on.

If you're reading this, adhd or not, and you struggle with any of this: i know it's hard but please: try to forgive yourself. No matter if the thing has bad consequences or not. I know it hurts so much, but if you can't help it, it's Not Your Fault. Try to get used to even the things that suck and learn to not be too harsh on yourself. I try it so much and it helps. We're not stupid and we're not worthless
