Oh. My. God! I can't seem to shut up about Gwen Stacy can I?

I may be pushing it rn with the character but she's so tragic, she'll never not be interesting!

If she never became a thing, if the spider verse comics and animation weren't created then I'd have no reason to keep watching Spider-Man.

Don't get me wrong, Peter Parker is understandably popular but I was kinda getting bored of him after Spiderman no way home.

But today's spider icons are Miles and Gwen. Gwen having a much tragic reason to be iconic.

Already posted her tragedy so I'll just talk about the other big thing: Her tragic love life.

Because Mistress Death is always following Gwen Stacy (any earth), I feel too scared of being heartbroken when there's a new spider man comic where a non super Gwen Stacy is in it.

And since Death can't claim earth 65 Gwen, she'll claim her loved ones souls instead. Like this kinda makes me think of Rogue's issue with skin contact. Except people don't die by touching Gwen, more like getting emotionally close to Gwen.

This sucks I know, and this raises her fear of losing her loved ones at a higher level. It may be self sabotage or lack of understanding from the other person. She might as well just wear a sign saying "date at your own risk"

Falling in love with someone would just make her life even more complicated...and a bit overwhelming.

I admit, she's not the only spider themed hero who feels like the unluckiest superhero ever. Peter's life wasn't all fun and sunshine either. Despite this she also learned to get back up and keep fighting.

I think for now, she still needs plenty of time to heal, so she can really start getting in a relationship.

I say this with a mature understanding, even though I do want her to date Ami Han. But I must accept this and watch her learn and grow.

I think I'll make more posts about the ghostfox ship after the next post about Ami.

Everytime we get anything good related to Spider-Man they always whine and complain about every little thing about "Oh well Spiderman shouldn't need help they nerfed him" to also saying "Well Spider-Man needs help why don't they ever give it to him". Especially with the latest Spidey media Spider-Man Ps5. I avoid reading the comments that media because of THEM

I've seen then complain about Peter being a genius and making a suit to fight against ock as if HIM MAKING SUITS IS A WEAK AND FOREIGN THING WHEN HE'S BEEN MAKING HIS OWN SUITS FROM THE BEGINNING

I've seen them constantly complaining about how much help Peter needed when at his lowest point AS IF SPIDERMAN LEARNING THE IMPORTANCE OF ASKING FOR HELP ISN'T LIKE THE WHOLE POINT OF HIS GROWTH

I've seen ppl even complain about it being boring that Spider-Man is still in Nyc LIKE I'M SORRY DID YOU WANT HIM TO GO TO FUCKING AUSTRALIA WHAT'S YOUR MEMO HERE? HE'S LITERALLY CALLED YOUR FRIENDLY *NEIGBORHOOD* SPIDER-MAN.

ISTG they act like spoiled brats and when their behavior eventually causes said good Spidey to not continue they then start treating it like the greatest thing ever since toilet paper and throw a fit because they can't have it anymore. Aka them getting upset with the idea that Peter will be taking A BREAK for once.

I'm sorry, do you really wanna go back to having PAUL around? Be grateful for the cool Spider-Man media we have been getting lately cause it's the people making that media that is helping to keep Paul from breaching the barrier.

Gwen Stacy is the most tragic spider hero because of death loving every version of her

Okay so, this is a bit touchy but not towards real life stuff. Even though we have a Gwen Stacy who didn't die but instead became a superhero, she is still no exception to the one thing every version is famous for: Death.

I am aware that Stan Lee didn't intend for the original version to die but his employees decided it. So when a love interest of a marvel character dies, then most fans immediately think of Gwen Stacy. I do, I never really hated the normal versions, not even from spectacular spider man (but I still ship Peter and Liz).

Gwen is just addictive for death. There will come a time where earth 65 gwen stacy will be the only one still alive. That is something the Spider Men should worry about. Gwen Stacy was more than a victim. She was smart, kind and always wanted to help others.

She would've even become president in some spiderman comics.

Some comics had her lock a little like the punk rock spider gwen. Ultimate Spiderman comics had one who was rebellious and tough but always protecting those who were bullied such as Peter.

That leads to Spider Gwen. Instead of being dead, she experienced death around her. Her mother died when she was six so she was used to being at funerals. She also had difficulty handling her double life. I'd say more difficult than Peter or Miles because her father was hunting her alter ego.

So I understand why she's aloof and isolated herself. To prevent possible deaths among people she cares about. Despite the witty, sassy humor, she still has a complicated and dark life. Not because she's Gwen Stacy or that she has to be in dangerous situations on a daily basis but she's still just a teenager/young adult.

I emphasize with the character because death loves her. She said it as a joke but we can see how dark and heavy that statement really is for her.

Its also why she can't be in a romantic relationship. It wouldn't be fair and she knows how dangerous that could be if she told her boyfriend/girlfriend about her secret.

This is really tragic yet Gwen still wants to use her powers for good, and do what's right.

That's selfless and shows how driven she is to be a good person no matter how bad things go. This character deserves her own franchise and her recent comics are better than the very first run.
