Is This The Life "Eileen" Deserves ?!

The color of her eyes is not blue or green, it is yellow, and her face is the same. I'm Mahmoud and she is Eileen, my niece and my spoiled child. She is 8 years old, Malnutrition and unhealthy eating due to the war is what did this to her. We took her to the hospital several times. A doctor says It is a "liver epidemic", and another doctor says it is a "breakdown in the blood", and another doctor says it is a "disease common among children", but everyone agreed that it is due to malnutrition. My niece, Eileen, is a beautiful girl and does not deserve what is happening to her.

FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN IN HONOUR OF MY SISTER’S BIRTHDAY!

Today, July 3, would have been my sister Mariam’s 22nd birthday. She was with my father in Gaza and went missing in October, with no one being able to locate her since. We consider her one of the many beautiful martyrs that became buried under the rubble and are unable to be properly accounted for.

Mariam was the most important person in my life, I miss her every second of every day and it is important for me to use the love I will always have for her into helping the people I can right now.

To honour her memory this year I am hoping to raise money for 3 specific gofundme campaigns:

Dina and her children (CAD)

Noor and Alaa (euro)

Ayman and his family (USD)

These are all fundraisers with very few donations, and ones I have personal connections with. From today until July 31, I am hoping to raise as much money for them in Mariam’s memory.

General Donation Overview:

I use ‘€’ for the currency in this post, but it is the same equivalent for $ USD/CAD (€25 is $25 etc) depending on what gofundme you donate to

Make sure to send your proof of donation directly to me (through asks or messages) and make sure the date, amount and gfm are visible. If applicable, please also send me a mailing name/address

Every TWENTIETH (20th) donor will receive a handmade Palestine themed item (must be comfortable giving a mailing name/address)

For every €1,000 raised I will donate €20 to each fundraiser (all I can afford right now, but amount is subject to change as my financial situation changes this month!)

Specific Donation Amount Rewards:

€5-24 donation - you will have my never ending love and support :)

€25 donation - you will receive all of the above AND I will send you a handwritten message in a card with this medieval Palestine flag print design on it from @werewolf-transgenderism! (support Miles on inprnt here!!)

To receive this you will need to be comfortable send a mailing name/address for the envelope. If you want a different name/something specific in the card let me know! (I will send anywhere)

€50 donation - you will receive all of the above AND be entered to a brand new copy of either the book Men in the Sun by Ghassan Kanafani or The Butterfly's Burden by Mahmoud Darwish

2 winners will be chosen, book choice will be first come first serve for the winners. You must be comfortable giving a mailing address (I will ship anywhere)

€150 donation - you will receive all of the above AND a handmade Palestine themed item (without having to be a certain donor number)

Gofundme Goal Rewards:

If Dina’s fundraiser reaches $2,000 CAD - I will attempt to cook my way through The Gaza Kitchen (I have an older edition) and document my journey/share recipes

If Noor’s fundraiser reaches €2,000 - I will start a virtual book club for books by Palestinian authors (if this happens I will figure out logistics later)

If Ayman’s fundraiser reaches $2,000 USD - I will learn how to crochet (I don’t know how) and will document my journey/giveaway all my (bad) creations :)

That’s it for now, sorry it’s so much info in one post!! You guys raised over $11,500 USD for the fundraising campaign I did in January to honour my father’s birthday and I am hoping this fundraising campaign for my sister can come close to that. As always, please let me know if you have any questions :)

That nonsexual intimacy of just being in each other's spaces, of gravitating towards each other, always subconsciously reaching out to each other. Finding comfort and satisfaction in being close to each other, breathing each other in, existing together.

To the boy from my dream who tried to save my life even though he knew from the very beginning that he was meant to die. I swear to you that even though you were just apart of my subconscious and even when I will slowly forget you and everything you did for me, I will always love you. Even when you’re just a lost memory in my mind, there will always be some part of me will never forget the sacrifice you made for me. I will never know what happened to you in the end but I am so sorry for not being able to save you from your fate. I don’t remember your name but I do remember what you looked like and I do remember what we shared before you were ripped away from me so to whoever you are, thank you so much for the gift you have given me. You will forever be connected to my soul, my love.

I've Shared Amal's Gofundme (@amalashuor) Several Times, But I Just Received Messages From Her That Broke

now amal, her husband, and maryam have been displaced several times and have nowhere to turn to. amal wishes to finish her degree, and both she and her husband want nothing more than a better life for their young daughter. every time i receive a message from amal, my heart is full knowing she is still alive, but it breaks for her suffering. i implore you, please donate any amount you're able to help amal and her family escape gaza. they deserve nothing less than safety, warmth, love, laughter, security, and life. as of july 6th, €1,025 / €30,000 has been raised. her campaign is also included on el-shab-hussein and nabulsi's spreadsheet of verified fundraiser (#175). if you're unable to donate, please share. i want nothing more than to give amal hope that she can provide a better life for her daughter.

Hello

I'm Amira from Gaza 🍉, responsible for my family since my father passed away. Despite becoming a university lecturer and app developer, the recent war destroyed everything 😥.

I urgently need to leave Gaza to care for my sick mother and continue my aspirations.

Any help or sharing of a support link would be deeply appreciated.

IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE ASIAN COMMUNITY AND WHATS HAPPENING TO THEM!

IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE ASIAN COMMUNITY AND WHATS HAPPENING TO THEM!

hi guys! i dont normally make posts like this, but i feel like i need to speak out due to the platform i have on this app. recently, i’m sure you’ve been made aware of the violent and disgusting covid-based hate crimes targeted towards asians lately, not only in america, but pretty much everywhere. this type of behavior towards someone based on their race or ethnicity is absolutely inexcusable and vile. whether the attacks are micro-aggressions or physical assault, it is still harming the asian community and further associating asians with covid-19.

while this post may be informative, i am still white passing, meaning i have not experienced racism targeted towards me before. i can only provide so much information, as i have not been the target of racism-fueled attacks. i highly recommend that you read other resources written by bipoc in order to get a better understanding of what’s happening!

what can you do to help?

firstly, if you see a person getting attacked (verbally, physically, etc.) protect them! calmly intervene if it is safe for you to do so or inform the nearest authority figure near you.

reprimand your peers for their racism! racism comes in all shapes and form; it doesn’t just boil down to hate crimes and slurs. racist stereotypes you may think are ‘jokes’, micro-aggressions, and even drawing harmful assumptions on a person just because of their race are all examples of racism.

amplify asian voices! the asian community is speaking up against the surge of hate crimes, however, a lot of it is covered by media and algorithms! do research, listen to podcasts, watch interviews, repost, etc! the asian community is speaking, we have to listen.

use your privilege for the better. if you are white or white passing, it’s a given that you are born with more privileges based off of your appearance. while this privilege is unfair, we can still use our privileges for the better. if you see someone being discriminated against do not be afraid to speak up and say something! protect anyone you witness being the victim of racism-fueled aggression. use your platform to speak up about hate crimes!!

do not speak over bipoc voices! do not dismiss it if a bipoc person is telling you they would feel more comfortable if you did or didn’t do something; listen if they tell you a certain thing you or another person said or did was racist or wrong; let them use their voice! you can do this by allowing them to speak up on your platform (no matter the size), supporting them if they make a post or statement surrounding their experience as a bipoc, or just by listening to them!

finally, here are some resources that you should go read/support that will help you understand what is happening to the asian community and how you can help! this brief post i’ve made is only the tip of the iceberg, there is so much more you can do!

important + informational websites and articles

- report instances of hate crimes

- bystander intervention training

- learn about america’s long history of scapegoating its asian citizens

- ‘model minority’ myth

- the importance of asian and black solidarity

- stop covid-19 disinformation

- how you can help curb the surge of anti-asian violence

- what you can do about anti-asian violence

organizations

- stop aapi hate

- hate is a virus

- act to change

- asian americans advancing justice

- national council of asian pacific americans

- asian leaders alliance

fundraisers

- support the cause against anti-asian violence

- gofundme for vicha ratanapakdee

- (please message or send an ask if you have a personal gofundme or know of another gofundme surrounding this issue that you’d like me to add)

due to the fact that i am american, a lot of the resources are targeted more towards helping asian-americans. if you’re not from the states and have resources that could help support the asian community somewhere else, i highly recommend that you provide it whether it be in your own post or a reblog of this post!

please amplify asian voices! this post is not as informative as the ones i’ve linked and other posts that the asian community has made! please support those!!
