Soo here is the finished product, I love it.

I'm pondering the idea of a colored version, but for now i want to be proud of my progress with this one.

The flower was a pain in the ass, i think you can tell, but fuck it this style was out of my comfort zone so i like it as it is.

At school we've been experimenting with this printing technique called "etching" (acquaforte in italian) where you basically corrode a zinc sheet with nitric acid.

I don't want to go in depht with all the steps, but you'll see them in my work :)

The black stuff Is a varnish that coats the surface and cannot be eroded by acid

And the final work! You archieve bold lines and deep blacks. I made the background with alcohol markers and colored pencils.

I had to forget about the question at weekend, we've talked about it at the beginning of the last week I think regarding finding the lie in the three sentences.

So here I am, with the curious question of how you got into drawing and what did you begin drawing in the first place?

Ok, lets begin:

I started drawing at a very very young age (kindergarten years) and my classmates would watch me draw and ask me to gift them my drawings😅 I was obsessed with venom and spiderman XD

During my teenage years I went fascinated about mosters and alien-like creatures (one of my dreams was designing the props for monster movies: I was and I am still now a huge fan of the Alien and Predator franchise). If you ask me to doodle something from improvisation I would draw a creepy specimen or a dragon 100%.

My style changed towards the manga-like stylization of a character when I firstly watched attack on titan: mindblowing animations and art, and I went on drawing like this for almost 3/4 years 🫣

I soon realized that having that kind of style wasnt taking me anywhere (no pratice, no evolution, no challenges, I started to get bored) and my love for music, pop culture and vintage graphics kinda saved me: I took the realistic approach but with a bit of funky silly colorful graphic tricks.

My next goal is to develop a more complex and deep style that isnt necessarily hyperrealistic (I WANT TO LEARN COLOR THEORY PROPERLY😭😭😭)

Tryna gave the proper relevance to his surname (ya' know, "Lord"🤫); a luxurious, well-dressed, tempting, powerul man. A "homme fatàle" if you like, with his severe but wise gaze and beautiful flowing hair resembling a mane. Look at his decorated robe😫 If only I knew how to write a fic I would totally go for this trope, goddamn :(
