A lot of you may remember that my sister passed in 2015 and we were able to afford to bury her thanks to the kindness of community members. My family is quite poor, my father is a disabled veteran and he and my mother are just getting by. My dad was able to buy a small granite marker that the cemetery staff deemed “temporary” about a year ago, and the cemetery staff has REMOVED it, giving us the option of buying a permanent, expensive new one, or leaving her grave as an unmarked pile of dirt, since they also have neglected to plant any grass on her grave. There is an entire facebook page dedicated to airing grievances against the cemeteries in Floyd county that are owned by StoneMor parent company. Even if you can only spare a dollar, please do. We are out of options at this point.
Not enough people seem to want to bother with “Battle For The Net, even though it’s super duper easy to use Battle For The Net because they made it easy for you, and it’s so quick to use because of how fast the internet is right now since the FCC haven’t destroyed the internet yet.
If you have a cellphone, they will text you and tell you what to do. They will give you a number to call and tell you what to do. The script basically is
“I Support strong Net Neutrality rules. Could you use the Congressional Review Act to overturn the FCC’s appeal?“
Can’t get texts? Worried that you’ll miss the phone number in the email? No problem! It’s (202) 930-9322 and you should be updated fairly regularly on both email and text. (Provided you have either one.)
This takes maybe ten minutes at most. Five at least.
You can also “share” this on Twitter and Facebook without having to worry about what to say- it will provide exactly what you need to say for you.
Scroll down a bit and insert the state where you live and you’ll see
All you have to do is click on their faces and it will automatically send you to Twitter with a Tweet ready for them.
(It’s different for people who are voting for it.)
Again, this should take maybeee… Thirty seconds at most?
This is very important, y'all need to read this entire thing some you need to fucking reblog it because this is vital. I don’t care if it doesn’t “match your theme” or you don’t want anything “depressing” on your feed, get over it and reblog this.

Dear friends and supporters,
My name is Nada, and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a sense of urgency.
Here in Gaza, there is a small tent standing alone in the corner of a refugee camp. Inside it, I sit with my young children, trying to protect them in every way possible and provide them with comfort and safety despite the hardships.
My children and I are now in great danger and need your help to evacuate from Gaza to safety. The situation worsens every day with limited access to drinking water, food, and medicine, along with facing the horrors of war.
The war has swept away our homes and dreams, and now we live in a tent, surrounded by hunger, fear, and diseases. My youngest son suffers from hepatitis due to pollution and lack of healthcare.
The days pass very slowly, and the situation deteriorates further each day. The need for food, medicine, water, shelter, and safety has become nearly impossible.
I have launched a fundraising campaign to facilitate our evacuation to Egypt and to start our lives anew. The ticket price to enter Egypt is $5,000 for each adult and $2,500 for children.
Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference in our lives and give us a chance for a brighter future. With your donation, you can be the light that illuminates our lives.
Please save my children; I do not want them to die in Gaza. If I cannot survive, please do not forget them. Protect them after I am gone.🙏🏼❤️
When it comes to gutting Net Neutrality, the phrase “It’s not gonna happen” pisses me the FUCK off. Odds are, the people who say that aren’t doing anything about it. And with the way things are going, it looks like it IS going to happen.
Saying “It’s not gonna happen” gives others a false sense of hope that this will not pass, meaning those who may have helped to make the difference in calling in will now feel like they don’t have to.
The people who say this are literally part of the problem. PLEASE be part of the solution.
Okay so this is really great because I didn’t know of any alternative to calling and I get anxious calling people bUt this thing called ResistBot will fax messages to your senators/representatives/governor for free but you can just text “RESIST” to 50409 to get started and it’ll tell you how it works. When it gets to the part where you have to write a message you can either write your own or send this (and edit it if you want, I’m the one who wrote it so it’s not the best)
“To whom it may concern,
I am (name) from (city, state), and I am contacting you regarding the proposition to abolish net neutrality by the FCC. As both a student and someone who follows current events, it is of importance to me to have unrestricted access to sites that keep me informed. A loss of net neutrality has the potential to prevent this. Surely it should remain the right of every citizen to be informed; the freedom of the media and of the people to access it is part of what defines us as Americans. Handing over the authority to internet providers to restrict our access to certain sites or artificially slow internet speeds is not in the best interests of the people as a whole. Who will benefit from this? Large companies, who are able to pay the fees required to hasten the speed in which one can access their site(s). What then, will happen to the entrepreneurs, the small businesses, all of the ventures and enterprises that the American government claims to protect? What will happen to news sources and blogs, whose rights to free speech are protected by our Constitution?
For the sake of free speech, free press, and the American people, I implore you to advocate to preserve net neutrality.
Thank you,
(your name)”
{PLEASE REBLOG!!!!!}
