sometimes i look back and i wonder what kind of person would i be now if i had gone to theraphy when i was little but nooooo no one fucking cared hahah they just saw me as a amazingly responsible little girl who liked to get good grades. when the truth was that doing things not related to my academic life and what I considered "mandatory" didn't make sense to me. i lived in a loop of anxiety, afraid of not getting the highest grade on my next test and disappointing people. i had no hobbies, i didn't see them as important. nothing really interested me

now i'm still like that. i'm trying to allow myself to like things, not because they're "productive" but because i enjoy them. i'm trying to fix myself, to stop seeing my value in my productivity and my achievements and just enjoy and live as I want

but damn if it isn't hard

i don't even know how to start this but uhhhh hi!! i'm not really new on tumblr but this is the first account i create intending to meet people and make friends so i'm not really sure about how to do like. anything at all

July is disability awareness month but a lot of people tend to forget it :/ :/ :/

I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:

IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.

1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.

2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.

3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”

4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”

5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.

TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.

Reblog this to keep other users aware. Suicide isn’t a joke, and neither is someone’s life. If you didn’t know this, someone else may not, either. Pass it on.

shoutout to those with chronic illness, physical handicaps, genetic disorders (yo that’s me!!), paralyzed folks, amputees, people who were disabled in accidents, those who were born with their condition, those with mental disorders, those with ptsd, blind folks, deaf folks, people who use wheelchairs, those who have to lug around equipment or else they die (hey that’s me again) and people who have a whole shelf in their fridge or pantry dedicated to their meds. we are loud and beautiful and diverse and incredible. may we finally get the same rights as our abled counterparts

and may accessibility departments return our goddamn phone calls
