anyway. my favourite album. is. drumroll please. okay people you gotta promise me you won’t judge the music taste because I have seen this app. and I have seen people shitting on each other for the music they listen to. and just. no.

end drumroll. it’s Tantrums by Xana. originally, because it was g a y. and I wanted to find more sapphic songs. but now? because it sounds SO GOOD. like the rhythm? the flow, the beat, the vocals, it’s all beautiful. and I don’t even care about the lyrics or pronouns used, music is music and it’s made to sound heavenly and that is what this album is.

you can’t see the colour of my walls. they’re covered in photos, post-it notes, train tickets, random paint splashes, notice boards, physics notes, stickers and a baguette wrapper. it’s a souvenir from Disney Land Paris. I cleaned it and now it’s a storage mechanism in which I dump leaflets.

Ponyboy is a sleepwalker.

He doesn't do it as much as he did when he was a kid, but it still happens maybe like once or twice a month.

He's not a super bad sleepwalker. Most of the time he just mumbles random shit while pacing around the house before making his way back to his room. Occasionally he'll do something weird like make a bowl of cereal or do a load of laundry, but that's it.

It's usually not a problem. His brothers are pretty used to it and if they catch him doing it, they just gently guide him back to bed (like you're supposed to) and that's the end of it.

However, one fateful night Tim Shepard decided to crash on the Curtis couch after a long night of drinking, only to awake in the middle of the night and find Ponyboy standing on the coffee table staring directly down at him with dead eyes.

It scares the shit out of him, and he yells for Soda and Darry because he's low-key convinced Ponyboy's possessed by a demon and is going to murder him any second.

They both come out into the living room and quickly figure out what happened. Soda gets Ponyboy off the coffee table and back to bed, and Darry tries to reassure Tim that Ponyboy was not possessed and that he was only sleepwalking.

It went something like this:

Darry: He does it a lot. The doctor said it's because he needs more sleep.

Tim: What he needs is a fucking exorcism!

same Darry, same

Darry: I wanna sleep for 40 hours. Sodapop: You know that's called a coma, right? Darry: Darry: That sounds so refreshing, I could totally go for a light coma right now.

When Fiona, Lip, and Ian were really young, Frank would sing "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor to them whenever they hurt themselves or were sad. It was a method to comfort them (before everything went complete off the rails in the family). None of the kids really remember this, and Frank didn't sing for the younger children (maybe Debbie), but Ian remembers. That is why we see Frank burst into "I will Survive" in season 1 when he's sober - he knows the song and the kids do, too - and Ian sings it to Mickey in season 11 because it's supposed to be comforting.

Maybe one of the few good memories Ian has with Frank is being comforted with that song...
