some of you think ‘nuanced’ only means ‘morally grey’ and I’m here to tell you that actually straight up good characters can still be nuanced and unapologetically evil characters can still be nuanced. the character doesn’t have to be an anti hero or morally dubious to have depth. they don’t even have to feel sorry about their crimes to have depth.
Papa was going to his weekly gowshala visit. Due to no classes today, I tagged along. The cows were soooooo cute and the whole adventure was so fun!
Here's a clip of the moment when I decided it's best to put the camera down here.
Bro scared me ngl.
Anyways, HAPPY MAKAR SANKRANTI EVERYONE!
do not go gentle into that good night
Sometimes I look at Kanha and all I wanna do is hug him tightly and cry my heart out.
first, the national digital library. now this. I'm gonna cry
🎶Our love, is a bubbling fountain... Our love, for eternity
Oh yes and say nothing, absolutely nothing about Pakistani occupation of Indian land of Kashmir aka Gilgit and Baltistan. That’s your average Indian far left bigot.
The Hindus whose pants were pulled down, checking for the absence of circumcision after which they were shot down all of them deserved it because some leftie bigot failed history in school.
I finally got around to watching The Handmaid's Tale. I just got to season 3, and I gotta say,
Serena Joy Waterford is the kind of Complex Female Character that fandom says they want and then can't handle.
She is a horrid cruel bitch, and a brilliant and relatable antagonist. She has an MBA and is a published author that helps build a new society that bans women from any form of literacy. She tries to be friends with her natal slave and then punishes her for being overly familiar. She is full top to bottom of fart-huffing bullshit and cognitive dissonance so bad she cannot tell up from down but she knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that looking good and speaking with confidence will get her her own way 99% of the time (and it only cost her a finger once)
Serena Joy is Girlboss Gaslight Gatekeep and I will stan her even as I hate her.
we as a fandom don’t talk about joseph lawrence enough. that fuckass attitude. that cunty scarf. the rings. the pizzazz. the expensive paintings he raided all museums of the nation for, not to display them but just so winslow can’t have them. the way he lets his marthas degrade him because he either gets off on it or thinks it‘s funny. that cunty way he turns around when spoken to. the genuine love and admiration he has for eleanor and his actual genuine regret for his actions that he doesn’t just put on to get what he wants like serena but that actually seems to gnaw at him constantly. the needless flamboyance when he essentially tells nick not to execute him. the way aunt lydia tries to blackmail him and he goes „ooooh, DISH, sister“ as soon as she mentions that she‘s got dirt on the other commanders as well. the way that somehow, bradley whitford plays a more sympathetic character on the handmaid‘s tale than on fucking brooklyn 99.
Every time, every single time, anybody is raped in India, it gets brushed off, and when once in a while it reaches the national television, the general public stages protests and screams for justice, yet nothing truly comes out of it.
A resident doctor getting brutally raped and killed just days before India's independence day shows just how far behind India is. Economically we might be progressing but we keep on stepping back when it comes to protecting our women or people in general.
She was found in a half naked condition, bleeding from her privates and other parts with her pelvis broken. Even in such a bad state, the hospital didn't allow her parents to even see her, lied to them that she commited suicide. Only after hours of waiting were they allowed to look at their daughter.
Just last year, India had its major Shraddha Walker case. She had been cut to pieces by her boyfriend and kept in the fridge until he slowly disposed every piece off in different areas. There was widespread rahe and anger. People were disgusted, they revolted but soon the news died down and now nobody's sure what happened. And this happens every single time.
This independence day, what do we even have to celebrate? We most certainly do not feel free. A place where even my workplace could be my crime scene is not a place I would like to celebrate. This revolt will go on, and then it will die down and then, it will start all over again, every time, every single time.
i'm the kind of nerd that enjoys all the different kinds of nerd stuff but i could not tell you a single thing about any of it, i am a black hole of "oh, that's cool" and then it's gone
