As usual ALL PROCEEDS from my shop are for my best friend who is Palestinian. The extra income will help him support his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids and economic devastation in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. He will donate anything his family doesn't need to the Palestinian charities he works with.

New Dove Design

I am absolutely in love with the Reem Kufi font (on the left), it's a beautiful blend of historical and modern design (though a little hard to read if you're still new to Arabic, haha). The Arabic characters were designed by Khaled Hosny if you want to check out the artist. I've used it for a bunch of simpler designs as well on my Redbubble recently.

As usual, ALL PROCEEDS from these designs are for my Palestinian best friend, to help his girlfriend afford to join him safely in America and to help his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the increasing Israeli raids in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. He is a brilliant scientist and the kindest man I have ever known, I hate seeing him suffer like this and want to help in whatever small way I can.

Palestine Sunbird

As usual ALL PROCEEDS will go to my Palestinian best friend to help his loved ones through this war and help his girlfriend afford to join him in America. He is the sweetest person in the world (and a truly brilliant scientist) and he deserves to be able to focus on grad school as best he can through this awful genocide without financial stress on top of the emotional toll. I just added a few new versions of my Palestine sunbird:

This is what the real bird looks like:

The Palestine sunbird is a beautiful little passerine found around parts of the Middle East and Africa. They look somewhat like giant hummingbirds (though that is entirely convergent evolution, hummingbirds are actually in the same clade (Strisores) as potoos and frogmouths and stuff, which I find very surprising). These little guys were adopted as Palestine's national bird in 2015. To my fellow grad students: this friend and I are working with our department on making it easier for grads to bow out of research they have a moral objection to. We're also working on putting together a statement on Palestine. If you have a lot of colleagues on your side and particularly if you're in a program like engineering, physics, astronomy or applied math (with a lot of military applications) you should try to see where your funding is coming from and support grads in divesting from ethically questionable research. I won't say too much about what we're doing because I don't want to risk doxing my friend, but here are some examples of statements from grads at the Goldman School of Public Policy and the UCSC Astronomy Department. We (STEM students in particular) are the next generation of minds behind the military-industrial complex. It's up to us to make it clear we will not be complicit in work that supports genocide.

Trying something a little different here, at the recommendation of a friend. Some people use stickering as a form of activism, you've probably seen it for one cause or another if you live in a big city. Most of my stickers are mainly meant to look nice, but I thought I would change it up a bit and make an informational one, with that use case in mind.

Palestine With Keffiyeh Patterns

My best friend (the best person I have EVER known) is Palestinian, and a lot of his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the increasing Israeli raids in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. ALL PROCEEDS from these designs will go first and foremost to helping his girlfriend afford to join him in America safely, and after that helping his other loved ones weather this war.

These six keffiyeh pattern maps are now available in my shop. I like the top left in particular, the folds of the fabric follow the shape of the country nicely. Available individually or in a sticker pack containing smaller versions of all six. Designs are also available on other products like shirts, hats, notebooks, etc. The shop will randomize which product it shows you, click on them to see more options.

I've seen a lot of people buy stickers from various sources or make their own to hand out at protests (personally I was thrilled to receive handmade solidarity stickers from a kind woman at my last union action), so if you're looking to take advantage of Redbubble's bulk deals I might suggest that use.
