I, for one, am happy that the foul ogre is returning. Maybe they'll eat the gnomes =).

How does magic work in Call of Cthulhu and the mythos in general? A few possibilities:
Yog-Sothoth hypothesis: The Lurker at the Threshold often venerated by eldritch mages is locked away from our reality, but can still interact with it through a few ways. Magic is one of these: the sorcerer becomes a small portal through which the All-In-One can seep into our world and affect change. Every time a spell is cast, the barrier between our universe and Yog-Sothoth deteriorates. No wonder it is so damaging to sanity!
Azathoth hypothesis: Our Universe is but a dream of our creator, the blind idiot god Azathoth. Have you ever heard a sound or have someone say something while you were asleep, and it affected your dream? Well, through learning the arcane language that Azathoth understands, you may do the same thing to his dream i.e. our reality! Better hope you don't overdo it, or you might wake him up and erase us all from existence...
Nyarlathotep hypothesis: Magic isn't real. It's all Nyarlathotep making it look like spells work. He does this because it's funny.

As a rule of thumb, don't reblog donation posts or people asking for donations unless they've been vetted and reblogged by Palestinian bloggers. We usually go to lengths to verify this shit because we know scammers have been faking to get people to send them money, using the urgency of our genocide as bait.
It's disgusting this is what we're dealing with, but people are losing money because of some truly evil people out there.
Accounts don't just randomly spring up on tumblr without gofundmes while asking for someone to help them create a campaign. Fuck out of here with that shit.
You are the Dark Queen—the most powerful being of your entire universe. Your lair is breached by an aspiring hero—a pitiful thing, easily crushed.
Except they keep coming back.

All spiritual/rational/philosophical teachings have to pass what I call the Porch Test. There's a lot of things that might be helpful to you, but pale in comparison to Chilling On The Porch For 10 Minutes. For me to consider something worthy of internalization, it has to at least be as good as The Porch.
The first part seems to basically just be: "Don't be autistic". Not particularly surprising, but sad nonetheless.
