JOTARO AS A HUSBAND

author’s note: i’m not even with part four yet but i needed to write about jotaro as a husband NEOW

• jotaro in public and jotaro at home are two different people. when in public, he’ll hold hands with you. he’s more of a firm but not interlaced person😭

“jotaro, i’m not going anywhere, can you please loosen your grip??? DAMN.”

at times, he’ll hold your hand in the ‘my lady’ position, which makes his colleagues envy you. jotaro doesn’t flaunt your relationship in public but his wedding ring and demeanor let people know that they need to back off. jotaro at home would be more intimate with you. he loves coming home from classes to cuddle with you. you’d cuddle in the sweetheart or the pretzel position. he often falls asleep first in these positions too. his hand would probably get tangled up in your hair but he’d tried to be careful with tugging - he understands that your hair means a lot to you and wouldn’t want you to be uncomfortable.

• let’s talk about rings. when jotaro wanted to propose to you, he obvs wanted it to be perfect. who wouldn’t? but this man literally spent more than hour deciding on if gold or silver would complement your skin tone more. after he decided on gold/silver, he then started to think about the color. would a sapphire pink look good on you or were you a more traditional girl and liked diamonds? he really wanted a ring that complements your looks and made you look good.

• OMG JOTARO IS THE WORST PERSON TO SLEEP WITH. you haven’t even been married for 24 hours and this man and his big add self is already hogging the blanket. it’s not intentional but it’s annoying.

• you seriously hate it when he says “good grief”. it was fine when you were dating because you weren’t in each other’s presence a lot but now that you’re married, you’ve begun to hate his catchphrase. it’s even worse when you’re mad at him for something else and instead of communicating with you, he rolls his eyes, says his stupid little catchphrase, and walks away.

“Good grief…it isn’t that big of a deal.”

“Excuse you???”

• jotaro hates it when you complain about his absences. you understand that he’s a busy man but as your marriage goes on, he just isn’t there. whenever he is home, you find it hard to be happy because you have an issue with his absence

• going back to jotaro’s constant absence, your biggest argument was about it. it got emotional because you began to express your hopes for the future such as more vacations, maybe a proper wedding (your wedding was very simple due to you and jotaro being young when you got married), and even children.

• you do most of the cleaning since jotaro is often away but he isn’t like a messy person either. he also gives you money for groceries and to spend on yourself to make up for his absence (which doesn’t help). on date nights, if you’re going out, he’ll pay for everything. he does not care if you have some on hand 😭 he will pay for everything. you let him know you’re getting your hair braided or heading to the beauty supply, he’ll shove his card in your hand.

• as i mentioned in my first jjba hc post, you call him joot or joots, sometimes jojo but not always. he calls you some variation of your name. i don’t think he’d be too big on affectionate nicknames.

• it’s not easy to make up with jotaro after a fight. it’s hard to get an “i’m sorry” out of him but he makes it known that he doesn’t hold any grudges against you. it’s never his intention to hurt you. he feels SUPER bad when you apologize for something that was totally his fault.
