I'm sorry for my excitement when you said Olezhka was an abuser. I though abuser meant he worked somewhere in IT.

If you've seen 'Who's Line Is It Anyway?' before then I probably don't have to explain the rules of 'Scenes From A Hat'.
Hope you enjoy! And thank you for being here ❤️

The very infrequent “Russian meme of the day” topic continues with a meme that’s been going strong for over a year now that I’m sure you will appreciate.
It started with joking about your elderly relatives online sending out of the blue funky images congratulating you with the most random celebrations, the progenitor of such being this:
Cement day
Which soon enough caught on and became a meme, now supplying you with celebratory images for all occasions
Happy broken charger day!
Happy 4 hours of sleep day!
Happy burnout day!
Happy chip day! a classic of vaccinations
Happy teflon pan tay!
Happy welded joint day!
Happy stress eating day!
Happy fucking scorcher day!
Happy day of day!
Happy waiting for the next day day!
Happy sad vegan sausage day!
The celebrations are endless, so I congratulate you with endless celebrations day!
Ladies and gentlemen, Alexander Rusakov as Russian Levi. You're welcome.
hi everyone!
my name is yeliza, i’m ukrainian, living in kyiv. funny story but currently we have a 150k+ army of russians all over the ukrainian borders, as well as an ongoing shelling from uncontrolled territories that has been averaging more than 1000 strikes daily. more fun facts - we are currently in a state of emergency, and it’s of high probability that russians will start a major invasion pretty damn soon. kyiv will be one of the first to be hit :)
i wanted to use this as an opportunity to spread the information about the whole situation, but also ask you to help me disperse it further: you can get the main points about the russo-ukrainian war and current escalation here. also PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING TO OUR ARMY - the link is here. any amount would be helpful - even some of your pocket money. we are in the dire need for the global support, truly.
much love and appreciation for your help!
if you have any question regarding the situation, i’ll be glad to answer as long as i’ll be able to! stay safe!
UPD. The National Bank of Ukraine has also opened a donation account for Ukrainian army, the number of the special account: UA843000010000000047330992708 . Proof here. PLEASE DONATE
i know there are a million of these posts out there but here’s a personalized one for the apps that i find helpful during the school year! i won’t mention stuff like forest or duolingo bc obv we all know about those.
1. pocket schedule - this is my go-to new app for glancing at my schedule. because i am a disaster of a human being, my first few weeks of class are spent continuously checking back on the student website for my timetable in order to figure out what room number i’m in. pocket schedule is a basic timetable and also lets you add in tasks and assignments.
2. overdrive/libby- overdrive has saved my goddamn life. i RARELY have time to go to the library (just look at my library fines, lmao) and when i do i usually get way too much that i don’t read. if you download libby or overdrive you can access your library’s ebook selection. if i remember correctly libby also has audiobooks for those like me who walk everywhere.
3. onenote- perfect for a digital bujo if the regular bujo doesn’t work for you. it’s easier to look at on a laptop but i like to check my habit tracker if i’m waiting in line for food or on the bus.
4. bear- a simple and clean writing app. mostly used for grocery lists. can also be used as a diary if that’s your thing.
5. daylio- a mood journal in which you can track your mood over the course of several months. an awesome tool if you go to therapy and need to check yourself daily.
Рукожоп - literally, "ass-hand", "arms attached to the ass", somebody who can not do anything well, who makes everything very poorly, cannot fix anything, breaks everything, all-thumbs;
Какой рукожоп банку это приложение написал? What an idiot/all-thumbs made this app for my bank?
Is there a word for this in your mother-tongue?
I'M BACK ALREADY because that was too good not to comment on, oh my god. That was hysterical. Anton's face when he pulled out that stick and the pie tin and realized he'd have to do something with it. These guys are so talented, I can't believe they pull the jokes out of the top of their heads. This is already one of my favorites and I can already foresee the rewatches. As a reverse learner, I could appreciate the humor so much. And that you explain the jokes to give cultural/linguistic context.
yes, this episode was freaking exellent! my favourite part is Anton's cocky face when he says 'yeah, I listen' I laughed for like 10 minutes when I saw that 🤣 by the way, it's not really a stick Anton pulled out, it's something called ве́ник (literally means 'besom' or 'bath broom') and is used for traditional sauna sessions (ба́ня). you basically whip yourself with it to help blood circulate better. sounds harsh, but it actually feels amazing, talking from experience lol.
/I'm too scared I may get blocked for sending the picture here, so just google 'bath brooms for banya' and you'll get the point haha/ and thank you for the feedback, of course! I'm so glad you enjoyed it 🥰

Hey guys!
Want to learn Russian but don't know where to start? Can't find any motivation to keep learning the language? Don't see any progress in your Russian skills? Want to find actual native speakers to talk to?
This is sort of a promotional post. I'm a teacher at this online academy which is techically a Discord server. We teach Russians English, German, French and many other languages. But we also have Russian classes for foreigners!
We've got:
• Daily intensive classes in groups of 4-6 people;
• Less intensive group classes three days a week;
• Speaking clubs and individual classes;
• Wonderful teachers who are actually passionate about languages;
• Homework that makes learning fun;
• Constant feedback from teachers;
• An AMAZING community;
and so much more!
Right now the classes are avaliable for A0 and A1 only, but studying programs for higher levels are already being developed by our awesome teachers!
If you're interested, please let me know in the comments or DM me!
Hope you have a great rest of the week!
actually, we don't call it russian, we simply call it cheeki-breeki
