The whole way down to fishman island, zoro and luffy are attached at the hip and eagerly attempting to show off their cool new moves to eachother and i think that’s neat.
canonically jealous tummy ache zoro is soooooo embarrassing for him and he knows it! bro knows the entire world sees him as luffy’s second hand man & first mate, that he’s been with luffy since day one, that he IS strong and loyal and fierce and these are all qualities that luffy values, that he understands luffy on a nearly telepathically linked level and their bond transcends definition……and yet the second luffy compliments how strong or cool someone else is he cannot bite his tongue fast enough to stop himself from being a little bitch about it
*enemy attacked*
*Nami and Usopp got scared.*
Zoro's only priority: LUFFY. Save. Luffy.
Also,
The way he doesn't want to let go of Luffy. He just gently place it on Luffy's shoulder...
He's so gentle...
zoro as a mellowed old man brightens my day. him silently opening his arms for chopper and luffy to jump into whenever he sees them, drinking a little less alcohol because it seems to get to him a bit quicker these days. zoro who smiles so gently and so often.
zoro as an old man who just seeps appreciation and gratitude in his own quiet way; for the life he’s been blessed with, and for meeting luffy at that barren marine courtyard. zoro who’s fights with sanji have no bite behind them, insults ranging from ‘cook’ to ‘idiot cook’ like they aren’t just age-old nicknames. his eyes gently watching nami approach to hit him over the head, complaining with only softness as she scolds him, full of unending fondness. laughing with complete adoration as he watches usopp’s legs shake in fear, hoping they never have to be apart and thanking their fates that they get to be together.
old man zoro who is still quiet, gruff, and rough around the edges but gosh, so soft in the middle. he looks at luffy like he strung the stars, like he always has done, but with a sweetness only age and many decades together can bring. he reaches for him often, unashamed physical contact, just because he wishes for the closeness and loves him so much. he relishes in watching chopper grow up, terrified and gleeful on the day the strawhats noticed he’d grown taller than him. zoro who still trains, god knows he won’t stop, but when robin, jinbe and franky ask if he wants to join them on the deck, he says yes instead of continuing without pause. zoro who sits next to brook and is lulled into tranquility, hearing his soft violin and noticing the brush of brook’s blazer against him.
zoro who accomplished his goal to be the world’s greatest swordsman, and doesn’t settle (never settles), but his tenseness eases. knowing his strength is unparalleled and looking around, his crew’s strength is too. he can relax, and he naps belly up with pride each passing day.
zoro who takes more naps and complains about his muscles aching because old age lets him do that, despite the fact he’s been tired and sore since he was seventeen. mellowed old man zoro, you are perfect.
Friends to lovers, 2 flirty yet dense boyfriends,
And just 2 dumb guys trying to have fun while also making sure the other doesn't get them killed
I ship it now so yeah
I had. A thought. 👁️👁️ “what if Gojo DID curse Geto at the end of JJK0 the same way Yuta cursed Rika?”.
Also I might draw curse Geto attacking Kenjaku in Shibuya. Curse Geto isn’t about to just attack anyone who attacks Gojo senselessly like Rika because he’s not an 11 year old girl in love… he’s a 27 year old man in love… but I think seeing Kenjaku violating his own corpse would set him off. And I do think that Gojo would still be tricked by Kenjaku because curse Geto, as we know from jjk0, isn’t just Geto’s spirit haunting Gojo. It is literally Gojo’s grief personified into a cursed spirit, so curse Geto and “alive Geto” could be two completely different and co-existing things that would still fuck with Gojo mentally for a solid minute.
In the anime, Geto says “at least hit me with some curses” BUT THAT’S NOT WHAT HE SAYS IN THE MANGA. BRO LITERALLY WANTED GOJO TO DO TO HIM WHAT YUTA DID TO RIKA !!
They make me so ill.
I wanted to draw Geto in something resembling his priest outfit but ended up drawing him in a bleach shihakusho, so… yippee? Autism wins? I almost put him in something white and then remembered that black kimonos literally represent death, so keeping him in black would be perfect.
Street harassment is not a compliment.
I think the reason Zoro hit Loki when he first saw him was because he was jealous. Like, think about is. Roronoa “I’m worth 2000” Zoro is a jealous bitch. And I love that for him. He saw Loki chained to that tree, and heard Luffy insisting that Loki was a good guy, and was instantly reminded of when he first met Luffy. He was thinking “I became Luffy’s specialist little guy this exact same way. What if Loki becomes Luffy’s new specialist little guy and he doesn’t need me to be his specialist little guy anymore?” So he immediately got a tummy ache, and getting a tummy ache made him angry so he hit Loki.
I’m having silly late night very tired shipping thoughts.
So in the beginning of the series, Zoro was called a demon by people in the east blue. Zoro personally called Luffy the son of the devil (at least in the english dub) right before agreeing to join him.
The son of the devil is kind of like a prince, and Zoro (a demon), agreeing to join him was like him becoming Luffy’s personal knight.
So they’re like a demonic Prince/Knight ship. Mmmmmmmm that sounds like a fun AU. I wonder if anyone’s written that already. Somebody should. Maybe me… eventually, but somebody else should too, because the more the merrier.
I’ll imagine it my head before I go to sleep.
